Hello all :) so just found out I am pregnant again :) had an early miscarriage in January and fallen on again, which is amazing. I am very anxious this time around and don't want to get too excited, but can't help myself. I also found being on here last time was actually a great help when it was taken away from me as people are so kind and it helps to talk, so if it does happen again I am in the right place xx anyway happy times now :) eeeeeek. Anymore early Decembers.
If there is already a group tell me and I can join that. X

Perhaps it's not so uncommon to not get an early scan! I thought I was missing a trick. That said, I haven't had any previous miscarriages and haven't had any spotting (touch wood).
I'm glad the bloating isn't just me! I have spent the day looking at my belly in reflections! My belly has definitely got bigger over the last week. I've caught my mum taking a couple of glances at my belly!

looby1304 · 05/04/2017 19:13

I'm not having an early scan, although I might change my mind the longer I have to wait. I've been given a booking in appointment for 26th April which will make me just over 8 weeks. How far along will you all be when you see midwife for the first time?

glastogal · 05/04/2017 19:22

looby - mine is the 20th, I will be 7+6.. I picked up some paperwork for it but have already lost it. Great start!!

Chamonix1 · 05/04/2017 19:57

I can't even book my booking in apt until I'm 6 weeks so next week.
Got half way through the form and then they told me Grin

looby1304 · 05/04/2017 20:02

glasto - I'm assuming mine is my booking in appointment, I just had a text from my gp surgery with a date and time, I should probably ring and check!

glastogal · 05/04/2017 20:15

It seems to be so different everywhere cham - I was supposed they let me book it so early but the receptionist at the GP just counted to 8 weeks (badly) and booked it. The paperwork they wanted me to look over looby is extremely uninteresting.. the best bit is the Emma's diary book.. I found it all btw!

glastogal · 05/04/2017 20:16

Surprised - not supposed

Foxglove88 · 05/04/2017 20:24

Wow really chamonix??
I only just filled out the self-referral forms yesterday, apparently I'll hear back in the next couple of weeks.

Marie90 · 05/04/2017 20:32

Hi, can i join?

I'm 4+2 today and found out last Thursday (30th March) with a Frer as I had really really sore boobs for a week previously!
Its my first pregnancy and only on cycle 2 so i was pretty surprised we fell so quickly! (Fx it's a sticky one).

Estimated DD is 11th/12th December!

Not too many symptoms yet, just sore boobs and a few period like cramps every now and then. Although I was absolutely exhausted yesterday evening and it was all i could do to stay awake for food before heading to bed!

Anyone know when's best to to see the gp? I heard on conception threads that some won't see you until you're 8weeks!! I think I'm going to have to go sooner though as i need to check with then whether i can still work as i have a V.active job, or whether I'll have to tell my boss asap!

Cautiously excited for the next 8months! Smile

Chamonix1 · 05/04/2017 20:34

Yes, really.
I just filled out the form anyway online and it seemed to go through! We shall see.
My GP does know I'm pregnant but I don't know if he was actually doing anything about it as I called him regarding my levothyroxin now I'm pregnant.
We shall see Smile

Chamonix1 · 05/04/2017 20:36

Congratulations Marie
I think it varies depending where you live but can always call your gp to let them know and ask what you need to do next Smile

Millie2008 · 05/04/2017 20:46

Thanks for the reassurance that bloating's normal!!

I too am not telling anyone other that 3 very close friends until I've had the 12 week scan.

satsoooma · 05/04/2017 20:47

It is amazing how much these things vary locally isn't it? My GP wanted to see me as soon as I called to ask what I should be doing next, which was at just 4 and a half weeks. But I can't even ask about a date for the actual booking appointment, which is apparently with the midwife, until after Easter.

imsuchafool12345 · 05/04/2017 21:30

My doc told me to go in once I get a stronger line to check up with everything. Think its to book in with my midwife and to see if I need to change meds and refered to a consultant

BirdBrain85 · 05/04/2017 21:34

Congratulations satsoooma! I can promise you that you're not alone. My first symptom was hunger, and it's still persisting. Very hard to deal with during work hours. Also feeling very tired now, especially after lunch. I'm 4+4 so who knows what next week will bring!

BirdBrain85 · 05/04/2017 21:37

Oh, and my booking appointment also isn't until 8 weeks so it'll be on the 4th of May. Interesting how everywhere does things slightly differently.

Millie2008 · 06/04/2017 09:05

Hey everyone,
Had such a horrid night. Started getting really bad cramps at about 10.30 to the extent that I couldn't get comfy. They were actually a bit worse that period cramps. Obviously I was convinced I was about to have a miscarriage. The intensity wore off after about 30 mins; but have just been left with a dull achey feeling in my pelvis and every now and again what I can only describe a a sharp twinge on the left or right side low down. Please could people let me know honestly if this is normal? Am quite worried but doing my best to try and stay calm as obvs nothing I can do. Don't care about the pain, just that it might signal a problem...

ChocolateRaisin · 06/04/2017 09:20

Hi Mille, sorry to hear that you had a bad night. Cramping in pregnancy like that can be normal but I would say to definitely get checked out if you are worried. It must have been really frightening for you.

My friend who is pregnant at the moment had very bad cramps and some bleeding early on, it was bad enough that she was doubled up and groaning. She had scans and blood tests etc, her baby was fine and she's 24 weeks now.

I would definitely get checked, just in case.

I am feeling happier today, I normally drink green tea all day everyday and really enjoy it. I have had to cut right back to 2 mugs a day and I've really been missing it until today- I now have decaff Grin It's the small things in life...

Bloat slightly down this morning, will look forwards to it coming back this afternoon!

satsoooma · 06/04/2017 09:35

Hey Millie. Obviously, get it checked out if you are worried, but I have had bad cramps for around four days. It felt like a pretty bad period, only with lower back pain thrown in. It was sore enough that I had to sit with a hot water bottle. I was worried at first, but as there was no bleeding, I eventually figured that it was just my uterus getting itself ready for all the excitement to come.

I am another green tea addict raisin. I have just 1 or 2 cups a day now. For the rest, I drink rooibos green tea, which is a pretty good substitute once you get over the caffeine thing.

BirdBrain85 · 06/04/2017 09:35

Hi Millie,

Sorry you had such a bad night :(

I haven't had pain quite that bad, but I'm also getting a lot of pains - sort of mild period pains but different somehow. A bit like pulling pains. It seems worse depending on how I'm sitting or standing and they worry me sometimes; anyway I read last night that it's pretty normal. If you're worried though definitely see your GP xx

imsuchafool12345 · 06/04/2017 09:41

Ive done another test today and I cant even see a line no more :( I think that's it now. They wasnt getting any darker

Millie2008 · 06/04/2017 09:48

Thanks so much guys. It really helps to run symptoms past people. After my horrendous experience at the gp- "there's nothing we can do at this stage anyway", I think I'll just try and ride it out. Spoke with my close friend who has had 2 babies and she said she experienced the same and all was fine.
On the plus side took a reassurance frer this morning and the test line is way darker than the control- it's a. It weird actually coz I think the control is fainter than I think it normally would be- although it was smu and not much of it so maybe that makes a difference!!

Millie2008 · 06/04/2017 09:49

Aw, Imsuch, im sorry. Are you sure? Could you post a pic??

Millie2008 · 06/04/2017 09:50

imsuchafool12345 · 06/04/2017 09:51
