Hello all :) so just found out I am pregnant again :) had an early miscarriage in January and fallen on again, which is amazing. I am very anxious this time around and don't want to get too excited, but can't help myself. I also found being on here last time was actually a great help when it was taken away from me as people are so kind and it helps to talk, so if it does happen again I am in the right place xx anyway happy times now :) eeeeeek. Anymore early Decembers.
If there is already a group tell me and I can join that. X

Tentatively jumping on board. Got my BFP this week, EDD 15th Dec.
Had an ectopic a few months ago so feeling very cautious.

I have an appointment with my GP on Monday to get a referral for an early scan at the EPU, fx everything is stuck in the right place this time round!

ChocolateRaisin · 05/04/2017 11:48

I'm definitely going to stay here, if everything is all ok at my scan then I may join but this is about as much as I will do at the moment with regards to this pregnancy, I don't want to jinx it.

I'm not even telling my parents or in-laws until after my 8 week scan just in case. I'm just trying to do everything differently to last time, to hopefully result in a different ending for me...

glastogal · 05/04/2017 12:03

My mum knows, because I needed her to take me to a couple of my Ivf appointments but I'm not telling my dad or the in laws until after the scan either choc.. I'm bursting with the news though!!

imsuchafool12345 · 05/04/2017 12:32

I'll stay here as well.

Hows everyones days? I feel like I'm having the worst two days yet. All I want to do is cry and stay in bed

Chamonix1 · 05/04/2017 12:33

I'll stick around here Smile the Facebook group I joined wasn't for me really so unless people are going to use the one set up I'm happy with this thread.
I haven't told anyone other than 1 friend who is sworn to secrecy. We were meant to be going on holiday with her this summer (lots of drinking would've been involved) and I wanted to make sure she could fill my space in time!
Actually like keeping it to myself, get to enjoy it with dh before everyone else comes along with there opinions and ugly baby outfits I'll never use SmileGrin

Millie2008 · 05/04/2017 13:02

I'll be staying on here for now too. I'm also not telling people yet (other than a couple of very close friends).

satsoooma · 05/04/2017 13:11

Hi everyone! I got my BFP last week after TTC for ~18 months. Due 8 December I reckon.

I feel pretty silly and overdramatic, as I am barely even 5 weeks yet, but I am shocked at how strong my pregnancy symptoms are already. I have bad cramps and have spent every evening sat on the sofa with my hot water bottle. I have also started waking up absolutely ravenous at 4am.

I have had a massive (4am) breakfast and lunch today. I actually feel stuffed, like when you overdo it at christmas dinner. But at the exact same time, I am still starving.

I thought the first weeks would be uneventful. Please tell me I am not the only one?

WeShouldOpenABar · 05/04/2017 13:18

I think I'm going to have to tell my mam and sister next week, I was due to go away with dh for Easter weekend and it would be nigh on impossible to get Away with not drinking, he's going to go without me as he's made commitments to help out. But since I live with my mam at the moment I'm going to have to believably explain not going.

I legitimately considered going to hide in a hotel but it sounded too ridiculous by far

JCHatchling · 05/04/2017 13:26

Hi Satsoooma, I'm due Dec 9th so really close. I'm so so tired and just want to lie down and hide! I've also just over eaten which has made me even more tired. Roll on 5:30!!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 05/04/2017 13:30

So tired. Want to try and leave work at 4 today so I can have a nap before my GP appointment! 4+3 today

We are planning to keep the pregnancy private as long as possible. I don't want to tell work before 20 weeks if I can hide bump. Thinking of telling family around the same time to reduce the fussing period.. and less risk of them leaking it to my work colleagues somehow (i am friends with work people on Fb)

ChocolateRaisin · 05/04/2017 13:33

Congrats Satsooma! You aren't alone! I am due the day after you and I am definitely feeling much more hungry than usual!! I have had a fair few treats but in the main I am managing to keep it healthy so far and filling up on fruit and veg, nuts etc.

I've told two of my closest friends, as I would go to them for support anyway. My best friend is on her honeymoon at the moment and gets back on Monday, so I will tell her when I see her. She is pregnant as well at the moment, so all being well with me, we should get a good chunk of maternity leave together which is really nice. She was really worried being the first one in our group being pregnant that she would get left behind with the baby etc (which never would have happened anyway) so I think she'll be really happy I am pregnant too.

My parents live abroad and I am not seeing my mum until early May, after my scan, so it is easy not to tell her as she isn't here to notice anything. I am avoiding my in-laws in the meantime as I think my MIL will catch on very quickly!

Chamonix1 · 05/04/2017 13:37

Congratulations sats!
Some people have had some pretty severe symptoms so far, but if I'm being completely honest I'm just bloody exhausted.
Just been to the gym and swimming and made myself a nice healthy pasta salad!
I'd really love to wait until 20 weeks to tell people, I just feel my last pregnancy was a whirlwind of people's opinions from day 1 and found it so overwhelming and if I'm being honest it ruined it a bit for me. DH wants to tell everyone after 12 weeks, I don't think it's a "my body my rights" thing here is it really?
Someone tell me I can override his opinion here!

glastogal · 05/04/2017 13:56

I'm with you cham I've only really got sore boobs so far.. bit afraid I'm going to suddenly get clobbered with symptoms (I'm 6 weeks on Friday) but I will take whatever comes!!

Foxglove88 · 05/04/2017 14:55

Congratulations everyone!
I'm one of the minority who aren't having an early scan. Am I making the right move? I wouldn't want to tell anyone until having a scan first, but I just don't want to pay out. Maybe I will have a look at prices around my area.
Glastogal, I think we have the same due date. I went to my GP and she was pretty adamant that I should go from the first day of my period, despite having slightly irregular cycles. Are you booking in an early scan?

Millie2008 · 05/04/2017 15:00

Is bloating a symptom of pregnancy or am I just getting fat/overeating?!

glastogal · 05/04/2017 15:01

I'm having a scan fox, but it's part of my IVF treatment, so the clinic can discharge me!! Hopefully..

I don't think it's wrong to wait until 12 weeks if you are feeling cool about the pregnancy.

It's exciting that we have the same due date! Race ya!! 😁

glastogal · 05/04/2017 15:02

Millie - I think it's a bit of both for me!!

ChocolateRaisin · 05/04/2017 15:06

Cham you do what you like I think. It isn't your DH that has to fend off all the comments and opinions, if you want to keep it to yourself for longer the I think he should respect that.

I am looking forwards to hopefully being able to tell people... I'm not sure whether to wait until after the 12 week scan as I am a bridesmaid when I am 10-11 weeks and it is a week away in Scotland with friends. People are definitely going to notice that I'm not drinking! I have the early scan at just before 8 weeks, I'm not sure what to do really.

I'm tired, starting to get bloated and have noticed the first small twinges of sore boobs yesterday. I am really hungry as well, which is probably the most noticeable thing.

I bought some jeggings yesterday to give me a bit more room if I'm bloated and I'm going to get some loose tops as well. I bloat at the slightest thing anyway and I really want to keep this hidden!

ChocolateRaisin · 05/04/2017 15:09

Fox I'm having an early scan because I had a mmc last year and my anxiety and worry will just not hang on until I am 12-13 weeks. Lots and lots of women don't get early scans- if you are happy to wait then that is great for you.

Mille bloating is definitely a symptom.

satsoooma · 05/04/2017 15:15

Glad to hear I am not the only one who is hungry, although it sounds like I am in a minority at the moment.

millie, bloating is defintiely a symptom. I was weighing myself every day for a long time before getting pregnant and I have clearly put on 3lb of what I can only imagine is bloat/water weight already.

fox, I am not getting an early scan either, even though I was under the care of a fertility clinic and prescribed clomid. They just said congratualtions - contact your GP - who said they will book me a scan at the usual time. I guess I will have to wait for a letter or something before I can find out when it will be. I imagine it won't be until 11-12 weeks though.

Chamonix1 · 05/04/2017 15:19

Fox,
I'm not going for an early scan but I've not had the complications a lot of ladies seem to have had.
Chocolate thanks, I don't know if I'll be able to persuade him to 20 weeks but we go on holiday in June, I want to tell everyone when we get back which would make me roughly 14.5 weeks so I'm going to just go with that. Smile

pauseplayrepeat · 05/04/2017 16:42

Fox I haven't booked an early scan either.
Millie I'm massively bloated too! Seem to remember last time round being bloated up until my bump popped out. Going to make it hard to conceal but I don't plan on telling anyone, other than a couple of close friends, until around the 20 wk mark.

TipTop333 · 05/04/2017 17:00

I am so bloated that a student at school has already asked if I am pregnant, and my trousers are struggling to fit. This happened last time too and it never went away, it just transformed into proper baby bump (which was very visible by 12 weeks!)

TootsyBella84 · 05/04/2017 17:04

We will get offered an early scan at 7 weeks due to the previous mc's, I might try and hold out until 8 weeks but we shall see how that goes!
We're not planning on telling any family until at least 12 weeks and I know everything is okay (if I actually make 12 weeks) and will be trying to hold off as long as possible before any sort of public announcement x

ChocolateRaisin · 05/04/2017 17:52

The bloat has truly hit this afternoon... I haven't even eaten loads!
