gin how are you getting on? Did you get antibiotics sorted?

rustler I use app on phone and you can read through thread and reply as you go closing in between if that makes sense? Glad you had a good time at pregnancy club :) hoping to go back next week.

I've got a free NHS pregnancy relaxation and breathing workshop today Smile

PeachIcedT · 08/03/2017 08:55

Good tip rise I struggle to remember who I'm replying to too!

Welcome to nurse and best wishes for today rasperry.

I'm panting having walked less than 30 minutes to work this morning! Also the top of my bump is super sensitive in that it feels like it's burning. Only way I can get comfy is in PJs (which I now get straight into after work) but unfortunately that isn't suitable work wear.

mightymouse76 · 08/03/2017 08:57

Thanks rise, I'm trying not to vom up the lucozade right now... there's naive me thinking I'd get to sip it over two hours, not down it!

I got booked in as my 28 week scan last week showed too much amniotic fluid. He's normal size but he's got a bit too much room to spin around (which he takes full advantage of!)

Anyone else had this?

Rustler74 · 08/03/2017 09:29

1 hour down, one to wait...

Rustler I wish I'd brought a pillow. Could fall asleep despite all the caffeine!

MissMooMoo · 08/03/2017 09:52

Welcome nurse
raspberry Flowers hope all goes well today.

I have had a terrible nights sleep. Up for 2.5 hours in the middle of the night. Exhausted today! Hoping I am able to have a lie down this afternoon.
I am 30 weeks today, feel like the final countdown is on! DH and I are still no closer to deciding on a girls name,as a result I keep thinking of the baby as a boy, I think we may be in shock if a girl pops out!

I am planning to breastfeed and hoping to go to an NCT drop in clinic beforehand. My NCT teacher is the local breastfeeding support worker and she said that if you go beforehand you can have lots of demos with dolls and actually watch women (who dont mind) latch their baby on properly.

Rustler74 · 08/03/2017 10:06

Well they could put some caffeine in that horrible sugar drink, hahaha!
Re names, we have agreed on names long before, and they'll be names from our family. Not overly happy with the boy's name but it can be abbreviated to something I can take peace with. Growth scan is tomorrow and I really want to make sure they'll not show me the gender accidentally. Quite excited to see baby again, though!
Nearly falling asleep even if the chairs are ridiculously uncomfortable. Haven't they got beds in here?!?!

Peach I wish I could stay in PJs all day! I've started counting down the number of days that I need to wear work clothes! I'm trying to avoid buying much more new stuff at this point.

MissMoo I also had a terrible nights sleep. It's so rubbish! The SPD seems to be back - my right hip in particular is really painful Sad and being uncomfortable woke me up at night.

Welcome Nurse and hope today goes ok Raspberry.

1004Rise · 08/03/2017 11:16

I'm seriously considering switching to pjs all day.... working from home has to have some advantages right?! Not sure I'd take work that seriously if I did though....

Miss snap on the 30 weeks today.... we'll be in single figures soon!

newbieho · 08/03/2017 11:22

34 working days for me until annual leave and mat leave - CANNOT WAIT!

It's getting more and more difficult to concentrate on work related stuff for me, desperate to get more rest, more lay-ins and relax before the baby arrives.

PeachIcedT · 08/03/2017 11:28

I'm completely on count down too! I've got 26 working days left after today, and that's only that few because I've got a stretch of leave to use up this month.

Rise if I was in the position of being able to wear PJs all day I absolutely would!

nursebickypegs · 08/03/2017 11:29

I've had to go on sick from 24 weeks; stupid SPD and my work wouldn't honour my appointments. My baby has a heart condition so I'm seeing doctors all the time, and they said they couldn't lose me for 3 hours. They also didn't do my risk assessment and was allowing me to plod on seeing violent patients, shingles, swine flu and 10 day stretches. I feel miserable having to do it, but my consultant said I'm putting baby at risk.

Today I'm off for a job interview however, I have 3 this week! Wink

1004Rise · 08/03/2017 11:30

Eeek new only 34 working days for me too.... how did that happen?

nursebickypegs · 08/03/2017 11:30

So pleased that others are living in PJs. I've lived in a new look parka all winter, underneath I have my PJs! The co op and my husbands work will never find out....

SanitysSake · 08/03/2017 11:41

growcookeat / Teaspoon74 - That’s not cheap is it? I hope it gives you what you need. For sure. I did look at NCT courses for me - in the deep South - but they were equally as expensive (a bit more in fact depending on exactly which area you went to) and they were all booked up. In fact, the tone of disdain when I said ‘yes, I’ve left it very late’. ‘How far along are you?’ ’nearly 30 weeks’ ‘Yes, you have left it very late. Most people book theirs when they’re 12-16 weeks pregnant…’ I felt like saying ‘Yes, I bloody know that, now can you stop sounding like I’ve already abused my child in some way and confirm whether there is any space or not?!’ Thankfully I’ve found something else.. but god only knows what it’ll be like. Fingers crossed - I haven’t a clue and really need the guidance!

Badgerbird/ Teaspoon74 - Many thanks for the congrats. In many respects I’m dreading it. It’s a very low key affair, but I’m petrified I’ll look ridiculous. A big round balloon! For full humorous/ironic effect, I’m still wearing ivory. That should make the Les Dawson types nudge a breast or two!

1004Rise - Not a chance in hell! I’d end up as some sort of horrific Meme somewhere!
As for PJ’s? I am currently coming to you all from my sofa, watching This Morning, sporting exactly that. With a fleecy jumper on top. I am already settling into motherhood well, I think?! [Grin]
Yesterday, I trawled our massive M&S for their 50% sale - bought a ton of baby stuff, went into town and hit the other M&S and Bravissimo to get two bras that actually fit me (turns out my XL wireless maternity bras from M&S are now officially too small - argh - and surprisingly damaging one of my boobs into producing a growth on it!), did the weekly shop, collected something from an eBay vendor, made dinner and promptly collapsed. Today is a day of rest!

I would recommend everyone check out the M&S sale though. I got EVERY sleep suit and vest type thing (including a load of outfits at various ages for a very good price. The OH was amazed! Tight bugger he is Wink

And hello Nurse Welcome to the baby-crazy! You sound like an incredibly strong and resilient mummy to be. Congrats on the interviews. I hope you get one of them. Your current employers sound like total horrors x

PeachIcedT · 08/03/2017 11:41

Nurse that is shocking! Good luck for the interviews, sounds like you will be best off out of there. Considering I face similar risks at work my risk assessment was a bit rushed but ultimately I can mostly avoid those situations, but to completely disregard those risks in pregnancy is awful.

Brightsmoke · 08/03/2017 11:43

Welcome Nurse

Hope today goes as well as can be today Rasperry Flowers

Had my 31 week MW appointment yesterday. Baby is measuring fine, but had 2 spots of high glucose or something like that? But as there hasn't been any other issues up to now, they are waiting to see what happens at the next appointment in case its just a blip

32 weeks today, 15 working days left, not that I'm counting Grin

Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday!!

Barnes79 · 08/03/2017 11:44

Had my 28w midwife appt today and, is it just me, or has she plotted my fundal height incorrectly? She said I was 25cm but looks like she's plotted 27!

May 2017 #9 3rd trimester!
mightymouse76 · 08/03/2017 11:44

Ha! Loungewear certainly rules right now. I bought myself one of those black waffle cotton robes you get in spas (for hospital) and it's getting a lot of wear already. Justification being I have to 'save' the few things I have that still fit for when I actually have to leave the house! I work a mix of days between a client's office, my studio where I should really be today, and home where I am now, swiftly back in said robe)

nursebickypegs · 08/03/2017 11:48

Rise - nearly cried then, I don't feel strong at all! When I found out about Bubs heart, I emailed my managers again saying I'm quite stressed and upset... please can I have these dates off. No reply. Then a managerial role popped up in the office so I asked if I could apply during my maternity leave. I got told no. That day I had enough, they were truly taking the piss. Since I've been off I've been better than before; Bub moves loads, I'm not fainting or having dizzy spells... I made the right decision.

MrsJW15 · 08/03/2017 11:51

I've got 34 working days left as well Rise. Plus Fridays are dress down and I'm hoping to do some working from home near the end, which reduces my work wear needs.

Sanity will definitely look at M&S. Was in store better than online?

nursebickypegs · 08/03/2017 11:51

Peach - I had a quick interview for my risk assessment where nothing was written down at all. Then my manager asked to see proof of the pregnancy... I know they can do this but throwing my baby notes at her and my midwife notes was very satisfying! Then they wouldn't order me maternity uniforms... blah blah blah. One thing after another.

I'm a palliative care nurse in the community so I would pop home for something to eat. Well they got stopped as one nurse thought it was unfair!

I had one interview on Monday, another today and one on Friday. I'm not optimistic, but it's good practice. Bub is due May 22, and I'm planning to return to work Feb 19, 2018.

savagehk · 08/03/2017 12:00

barnes if you were only 25 you'd be small. She might have said the wrong measurement but wrote down the right one?

Barnes79 · 08/03/2017 12:06

Savage - she said 25, wrote 25 but plotted 27. I've sent her a photo of the graph and she's going to call me back...

newbieho · 08/03/2017 12:12

Nurse good luck with the interviews. Your current employer sounds awful and you will be better off going elsewhere. Some interview practice is always good.

Sanity congratulations StarI hope you will have a good day and I'm sure you will look fab. My wedding was very low key too but I still remember how happy I was on that day.
