Haha me too blossom. Having two the same will be kinder on the wallet.

moonoverthewater · 06/01/2017 20:59

rasperry great spreadsheet! To update my details - I'm 35 and having a girl.

Had my 20 week scan just before Christmas which was a trauma. Got told the head was measuring small and they needed to speak to the consultant and then after going to the toilet and for a walk as the baby wasn't playing ball she said it was all okay! I asked her to explain and she just said it's head is in the 5th percentile. She didn't say much else whilst doing the scan and obviously had me worried. Anyway we have booked a 4d reassurance scan and bonding scan for the end of the month. I just came away from the 20 week one feeling lost tbh.

We bought a travel system in the sale from mamas and papas. It was still £640 (gulp) but sale price was 792 but they price matched very.com

Rustler74 · 06/01/2017 21:23

Sorry to hear 1004Rise, know that you're not the only one, suffering in what should be the glowing stage!
I'd recommend you take it easy this weekend and have a good thought about how you can take some rest at work when needed. I hope your employer is understanding and supports you.
Good luck xxx

Badgerbird · 06/01/2017 21:38

barnes Grin At least your boobs still stick out further than belly! Your bump will come soon enough I'm sure ;)

moon no wonder you were worried and confused! Did they clarify what that meant for you in the end?

1004 that sounds rough :( I hope you can get a good rest this weekend.

bright I haven't got belly hair but have got the linea nigra, from about 16 wks!

Barnes79 · 06/01/2017 21:52

Badger - that's only because they've grown at a faster rate 😳 (tmi?)

ShiniBerry · 06/01/2017 22:01

I'd love to come for the meet up too! Also I'm probably being dense but I have no idea what or where the spreadsheet is?

My anomaly scan went ok with all measurements normal except the abdominal circumference is quite high, close to the 95th centile. They want me to do another GTT Sad despite the last test from a month ago being normal. Really worried about GD or we have a chunky monkey on our hands!! Has anyone had measurements on the high centile side after their anomaly scans?

Also LO was really low down, so low they couldn't get head measurements despite emptying my bladder so I had to get an internal scan in the end. Is it odd for the baby to be so low down?

lullaby23 · 07/01/2017 05:20

badger we live in Singapore so were back home for Christmas, 8 hour time difference is a killer.

One of the reasons I want to hold out for the iCandy Orange is it has a buggy board option as well as tandem pram. I would rather strap DS in for longer journeys as I'm sure he will like hopping off the board. He's a good walker but so slow!

lullaby23 · 07/01/2017 05:21

shini why did they give you a gtt so early? Hope you don't need to repeat. I think mine will be booked around 28 wks.

bertiebunny · 07/01/2017 07:35

Hi girls please can I join you?

I have found you whilst looking for pram reviews and there is so much good chat / info on here I need to be part of!!

My due date is 24/5 and were having a suprise. My 20 wk scan is next weds at 21wks but I haven't grown much (I'm small 5ft) so fx all ok...

Bought a few bits but just starting to plan now Xmas is out of the way.
So will catch up with your chat before I start posting what would be no doubt repeated queries!!

Also I live in Leeds but have a national role and work regularly from London ( but trying to less and less) but would welcome joining you all for coffees if I can make the diary work. Unless there's anything arranged up this way?

Happy weekend xx

WishIWasSleeping · 07/01/2017 08:06

Shini - we had our 20wk last week and the abdomen was measuring high, the sonographer put the measurement as 1 week in front of rest of baby. All I've eaten this pregnancy is rubbish... Hmm ... and I definitely haven't had enough sleep! I've got to book in for my GTT still though.... fun... !
Maybe we're just growing these babies full of Christmas treats! Cake

dreamofhungarianlanterns · 07/01/2017 09:06

Thanks Adventure for the new thread, Raspberry for the spreadsheet and starting off all your gorgeous new year bump pictures and the scan pictures all make me smile so much. Hi to folks joining Smile

Brilliant chat and tips everyone, I must start making a list of products/ recommendations etc whilst reading.

Our second hand Joolz Day pram/ pushchair arrived on Thursday. It looks exactly as described - 6 months use of the pushchair and cot bit brand new (a good sniff, much to OH and my mum's amusement, confirmed this. Odour best described as 'new car'). Relief quickly turned to total joy, though I can see why new mums have amazing arm muscles with all the bending and lifting. I love the Joolz and OH is cock-a-hoop about the brown handle. Bless.

I'm another with a bit of Christmas dinner fuelled bump growth Grin

1004Rise · 07/01/2017 10:59

What a difference a decent nights sleep makes Blush I'll stop being grumpy now... I am my own worst enemy, went back to work forgetting I was pregnant I think. I work from home so I have no one to blame but me. Going to start taking an actual lunch (not just sit at my desk and munch) and move out of my seat and away from my laptop so I don't get stuck in one position for too long!!

Love all the bump pictures, will try and take one this weekend. What book does the toilet roll picture come from... looks like it would appeal to me Grin

MrsJW15 · 07/01/2017 11:58

Rise the book is called 'Hoorah for Gin' www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01ELJG98W/ref=dp-kindle-redirect?_encoding=UTF8&btkr=1 and it's great! I got it as a gift over Christmas.

My boppy pillow is helping, but I'm still not sleeping that well. To be fair, I've never been a great sleeper anyway, but pregnancy has definitely made it worse Angry

lucieloos · 07/01/2017 12:56

We had our John Lewis appt this morning and tested all the pushchairs! Still love the iCandy peach. It seems easy to put up and down and very light to push around. Also can adapt to a double if we have another baby in the not too distant future so I think we're pretty set on it. We can get a free car seat with it at the moment too. Loving the caboo close to me sling as well. It felt so comfortable and easy to put on.

RedBlu · 07/01/2017 16:41

Had our 20 week scan yesterday and all looks good and we are having a girl. So we allowed ourselves to buy some little outfits...

Feel rubbish at the moment, so very tired!

Sonnet18 · 07/01/2017 16:51

More a fat belly than baby bump but here's me at 22 weeks! Definitely look like more fat than pregnant!
Everyone else's bump pics are lovely- you all look great!

EsmesBees · 07/01/2017 17:02

No say Sonnet! That's a really neat bump.

So tired here too red. Got really ratty at DD earlier and then felt guilty as she's such a good girl and was only being a normal toddler. I've also allowed myself to buy a tiny sleepsuit today. So small! Of course, DD immediately tried to try it on...

EsmesBees · 07/01/2017 17:03

No way, Sonnet, even

mrscrocopop · 07/01/2017 17:12

Lovely bump Sonnet - deffo looks like a baby bump! Far more pronounced that mine!

I also got a pram today - second half icandy peach jogger off eBay. It was a pretty good price and there are only a few little scratches on it so all is gooood!

We had a crazy day today - three trips to the tip with a variety of old crap! I love a good clear out!!

talulahbelle · 07/01/2017 17:14

Placemarking.
20 week scan last year went well, we're having a boy :)
I'm a bit sad to be getting rid of all of DDs clothes that I've saved, but I've passed them on to a friend who has a 2month old. Some I might get to see some being worn again.

FoxMulder · 07/01/2017 20:50

I don't know what sex DC2 is but they will be wearing DS's old clothes either way!

There sure is a lot of stuff you can buy for a baby but I reckon the only things you really need are nappies, babygros and a sling or pushchair.

lucieloos · 07/01/2017 20:58

I tried the caboo close baby sling today and absolutely loved it didn't want to take it off!

Badgerbird · 07/01/2017 21:12

Eeeer that's a definite preggo tummy I'd say sonnet!!

Glad you feel better after that sleep 1004 :) you gotta look after yourself!

Hi bertie and welcome! These ladies are very thorough with their research and info, you're in the right place! Im due a couple of days after you and have bookmarked a few things from here for when I'm ready to start buying.

Just finished a crazy day at a super busy event, I do catering and have been on the go since 6am, not sure by bump is impressed by this. ConfusedMore again tomorrow then Mon I lay down for an extended period of time!!

EsmesBees · 07/01/2017 21:26

We have that sling Lucie. It's great. DD napped better in that than anything else.
