Behold, the wonder of birth! Members from 6 weeks bfp to post-partum wonder Mamas! No question to grotty or minging.

We've come full circle from obsessing about cervical mucus to now obsessing if it's our vagina baby plug going! What larks!

Lots of talk about poo, ours and now babies too! Baby brain is REAL! From morning sickness in the first trimester to the third trimester struggle of getting out of bed ( "walrus-ing"in our house), to actual real babies who are growing so fast! Discussion on the merits of sleepyhead and Ewan the dream sheep. Now into teething and sleep regression, how to manage our mothers/MILs whilst being sleep deprived.

Sooo many gorgeous babies now! And equally lovely Mummy's! We are amazing! What a year! Can you believe it's been over a year since our first tentative TTC thread!? Look how far we've come!

Roll up for TTC #1 Grads!

Checking in. I'm still reading along. Happy new year everyone.
I've turned pretty much mute on the thread for exactly that reason Leonie. It occurred to me that in years to come A might not appreciate me having discussed the finer details of his life on an open forum.

Feefeefs · 03/01/2017 16:43

Thanks miley! Weighed myself this morning and now actually only 1kg off pre pregnancy weight, very wobbly and stretch marked tho! But as I said pre pregnancy weight was too high and would like to be 2 stone lighter at least. Best friends wedding in October so happy for it to take that long (but would obviously like it to be faster!).

Sounds like a good idea Leonie.

Sodasoda · 03/01/2017 17:20

I think people just say 'the weight will drop off when you bf' to make you bf miley! I've definitely put on weight since A was born Sad The settling didn't go very well. It was very tough. She did eventually sleep though so going to persevere. I want to try and do it this week while I have my parents support before I head home next week - DH will be working in evening and don't really want to sit and listen to her cry on my own!

Cosmo / Leonie - I'm not actually on FB and have never shared photos of A on here and nor would I on other social media channels. I value the anonymity on here - you can share as much or as little as you like.

AudreyBradshaw · 03/01/2017 17:36

Yeah, I'm happy with a private facebook group, I'm not on Facebook either but was wondering about making am account so I can join/find baby groups local to me as nowhere updates their websites anymore it seems. My IG is private but I'm conscious of posting pictures at the best of times.

Dh doing my head in today, I've no time for him at all. I've come to sit upstairs out of the way.

I'd be up for Fb.

AudreyBradshaw · 03/01/2017 20:40

Bloody hell, slings are brilliant! I've just made a meal with the baby strapped to my front!

Dum de dum, this waiting for baby to arrive business is tiresome! I had a MW appointment today and she wouldn't do a sweep as I'm still two days away from my due date. So, I'm back in again on Thursday, which seems a bit silly. I feel like I could just hibernate until baby makes an appearance Pink!

Sister comes on Friday (great timing to have a sweep the day before Hmm) and is staying for 12 days, which is the remainder of her annual leave for the year!

I'll definitely be up as a latecomer to the weight loss extravaganza. I daren't step on a scale at this point, but I might attempt it when labour starts so I can see how much just disappears... Soda I'm still choosing to believe the weight will just fly off every time I whip a boob out. And I'll somehow tone and firm up my body in the process Grin

A FB group sounds good. I'm not sure how I'll feel about sharing photos/info just yet!

Glad to hear your feedback on the sling Stardrey! I've got high hopes for ours.

Feefeefs · 03/01/2017 22:16

What sling did you get stardrey? I have a carrier but am kinda afraid of it and slings.

Can I ask what people are dressing babies in at the moment? For outside and inside?

IrregularCommentary · 03/01/2017 22:31

Inside she's in a vest and sleepsuit - plus grobag overnight. Heating is on though during the day.

Outside she's also in a hooded pramsuit - plus a crochet blanket and pram zip cover thingy or in the carrier with the bottom of my coat done up just to protect her legs a bit more as they obviously don't get my body heat in the same way.

Hi ladies,
Quick check in from Tenerife! Our first family holiday is going well so far. A was really unsettled the first afternoon/evening but yesterday she was much better. Evening dinners are a bit of a dodgy one though so we kind of had to eat and run before she had a meltdown. Yesterday daytime she napped for 2.5 hours so we actually sunbathed!! Grin she's sleeping through at night still which is great. Just wish she didn't have huge meltdowns when she's tired, last night I had to just pop her in the sleepyhead and let her cry it out while I stroked her. It was only 5 mins or so but I felt so bad not holding her..it would have just carried on for ages if I'd kept holding her and putting her down though. In the end she fell asleep and slept through so we're both happySmile

I've had a quick scan through and I'd be up for facebook or a weigh in group. I'm 11st 9lbs, slightly lighter than pre-preg but I've lost a LOT of muscle and tone. I'd like to be at least a stone lighter by summer as I was 10st7lbs last summer and felt great.
I'm trying not to eat badly on holiday but I'm still having bits of chocolate ( and lots of proseccoBlush) here and there. serious diet starts when I'm back from holiday!

Hope everyone is well. May I hope that baby gets moving soon..how exciting 😁

IndiX · 04/01/2017 07:40

Oh and here's a pic of Autumn in her summery gear 😍😁

That's frustrating re the sweep may. Hopefully it works for you on Thursday, or labour starts naturally before then. How long overdue would they let you go if it gets to that point?

Also may, re weight, they weighed me when I got to hospital to have baby. I was being induced though so that might be why. I'm not sure if they do it if you just rock up already in labour!

feefs, re dressing, we are pretty much the same as irregular. Long sleeve vest and then bodysuit/sleep suit when inside. When outside, I add a snowsuit if we are going out and about for a while, plus a blanket and hat. If we are just nipping out (eg from our house, into car and then out of car to parents house), we'll have a little coat instead and an extra blanket.

Has anyone else noticed a drop in their milk supply when baby hit the four month mark? I used to wake up with boobs fit to burst and recently they aren't seeming very full Hmm I wondered if it was connected to my doing slimming world, but the only real change I have made is cutting out cakes and biscuits and I can't imagine that has much of an impact.

Pinklily1 · 04/01/2017 07:47

Cross post with you indi. Brilliant picture! Hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday!

PotatosMum · 04/01/2017 07:48

Miley those pictures are adorable!

I'm doing a weekly blog post at the moment called 52lb in 52 weeks. I'm going to try to lose a lb a week for the whole year Shock

We've had to give Arya calpol for teething a few times, I think it's normal from the convo I heard in the baby weighing line a few weeks ago.

Arya's the same with wanting to be on the move now. She's not even fussed about cuddles when she's sleepy, just when she's upset.
Time does roll on quickly, we'll have toddlers before you know it 😭

Lisa I have hundreds of chew toys for Arya... she would still rather nibble me Hmm

Leonie I would love a FB group. I was thinking that the other day as I'm struggling to keep up with so much else going on 😄

Feef inside Arya is still in sleep suits, outside thick hoodie and thick foot muff.

Indi yay for holiday. Have fun 😄 she is soooo cute!!!

Arya is doing well, she's becoming a proper little model with some of my clients particularly asking for photos of her with their products 😁 she still hasn't mastered rolling over but I think she's just lazy about it. She does go to sleep on her own most of the time now though. I actually look forward to the days when she's so tired she sleeps in my arms now 😍

IndiX · 04/01/2017 08:16

Pink I find my milk supply is the same. I'm still very full in the morning but since my body has got used to her sleeping through, I'm not as engorged as I was. I just think well my body will produce as much as A needs so I'm not worrying about it. Plus I'm giving her one bottle of aptamil a day (usually at night) so if she needs topping up that's fine.

IrregularCommentary · 04/01/2017 08:29

Pink it's totally normal for the engorgement to stop and your boobs to always feel soft again. Don't worry about your supply - just means everything has settled down. You'll still be producing enough and will still produce extra on demand if she feeds more than normal.

Pinklily1 · 04/01/2017 08:59

Thanks indi and irregular, that makes me feel better!

DrWhy · 04/01/2017 16:12

Hi folks,
I'm back and checking in, I'm rubbish at keeping up with this thread - sorry!
DrWhy - 36 with 16 week old Edward.
I definitely need to loose some weight, I'll get on the scales tomorrow morning and see what the damage is! I was only half a stone over my pre-pregnancy weight after about 3 weeks but was overweight then anyway and suspect I've put a lot back on. The only diet that has ever worked for me is 5:2 and you can't do that while pregnant, I think there's a modified version for breastfeeding though. I think I've got at least a stone to loose so just cutting out the junk would help!

LisaTheSimpson · 04/01/2017 20:08

Just a sweeping visit to say I'd love an FB group too!

I joined a MN thread for babies due in my month and most of us quickly migrated to a private FB group (no one outside the group can see anything you say or share). I love it! It's so much easier than MN, and we can share photos and even organise meet-ups. I barely use FB except for the group. Would love to join another one for this thread if people are up for it.

Indi - loving summery Autumn! (Ha!)

Hi its nevlet had a mare locked myself out of my account as couldn't for the life of me remember my password as my phone usually logs in automatically. Set up a new account and it won't let me change from the userblahblahblah that they have given me as a username! Once I have figured that out I will have an actual username!!

Definitely up for a facebook group! Not sure how I can prove I am the same Nev now with the username situation!

IrregularCommentary · 04/01/2017 22:05

Can't believe you're trying to infiltrate, fake Nev! We'll have to come up with a series of questions for an identity test Wink

user1483473283 · 04/01/2017 22:28

Irregular haha yes I like the sound of an identify test! Hit me with it Grin

IrregularCommentary · 04/01/2017 23:40

Hmm...putting my money where my mouth is then! What colour is your engagement ring?

user1483473283 · 05/01/2017 06:18

Irregular yellow gold band with a blue topaz

IrregularCommentary · 05/01/2017 06:55

Welcome back Nev!

not really sure what the play was if you'd said something else there...
