Thread 13. TTC #1 Grads. Some of us still remember that thing called "a full nights sleep" for most, it's a mere memory.

Behold, the wonder of birth! Members from 6 weeks bfp to post-partum wonder Mamas! No question to grotty or minging.

We've come full circle from obsessing about cervical mucus to now obsessing if it's our vagina baby plug going! What larks!

Lots of talk about poo, ours and now babies too! Baby brain is REAL! From morning sickness in the first trimester to the third trimester struggle of getting out of bed ( "walrus-ing"in our house), to actual real babies who are growing so fast! Discussion on the merits of sleepyhead and Ewan the dream sheep.

Sooo many gorgeous babies now! And equally lovely Mummy's! We are amazing! What a year! Can you believe it's been a year since our first tentative TTC thread!? Look how far we've come!

Roll up, literally, in my case, cause I'm practically rotund! for TTC #1 Grads!

Oh great, that's good to know thanks Irregular!

Feefeefs · 31/12/2016 16:23

Oooft miley nipples as a teether sounds sore!! A sometimes bobs on and off the boob or clamps down and that's bad enough! Not looking forward to teething! The health visitor was really against our sleepyhead so haven't been using it! Do you put it on the floor for naps?!

I've found breastfeeding quite cheap so far, but I bought my friends breast pump after breastfeeding didn't work out for her and she gave me two pack of bottles with it which A will take so I'm very lucky. Also very average boob size so bought cheap nursing bras on line. Struggling with what to wear at times tho. The sterisling and formula making up really confuses me as there seems to be a massive difference between what NHS recommends and what people actually do!

Just realised I've been on this group for just over a year now and would like to thank you all for all your support and advice over the past year, I have gotten so much from this group and Enjoyed our conversations so much. Thanks for helping me keep my sanity through this journey!

Mileymoocow · 31/12/2016 16:44

feef really? Wonder why your HV was against them! We put it on the sofa for naps Smile I know, the whole formula thing scares me too, I'm lucky I have one of those machines for when we change over or I'd be stumped. Brilliant about your cheap bf journey!

Yes, I'm also really thankful to have found you all as I really believe it's made pregnancy/becoming a mum easier. Especially as I had such a wick pregnancy it really helped to have support from you all so thanks for that Flowers I can't believe it's been almost a year since I got my BFP Grin

Mileymoocow · 31/12/2016 16:46

Which formula do people use? Feel like I should maybe start looking into it soon for H having it in 3/4 months time Blush I've never used it so have zero idea what makes a good one.

Happy new year lovely ladies!! Here's to a wonderful 2017!

We're on way back from parents. Tonight's plan is takeaway, gin and TV!

R has slept V badly over last few days, am knackered! Also having trouble getting him to latch particularly in public and have had to give a couple of formula top ups so he gets fed and stops screaming. Gaaah.

Breastfeeding = lies that it is cheap. I have one bra that fits and have just ordered another two which are £35 each- ouch! Damn big boobs! Am trying to sort clothes out for impending move (hot + bf = nothing in my wardrobe suitable), I'm doing well with wrap and tea dresses plus the dungaree dresses in style at the moment at great. May post some of my finds on IG in the week- I was desperate to avoid nursing clothes as had enough of being a frump with maternity wear!

Miley, no idea if it's normal but think I will be much the same. Totally overwhelmed with love for little R. He's perfect and now hes started smiling I am melting on a daily basis.

Feefeefs · 31/12/2016 18:06

He said baby could roll into it and suffocate miley I thought they were fairly safe in my reading before we bought it though. Need to look into it again soon and decide whether or not we're using it. He was also very against the Tommie tipee bottle maker, I think he's a very "by the book" health visitor tho, I'll have someone else in a few weeks as we've moved GP due to the house move so I think I will ask them too.

Pinklily1 · 31/12/2016 18:29

I can't believe a year has gone by since quite a few of us got our BFP's!!

miley, we use Cow and Gate Comfort as it helps with some constipation issues and it's fine. I've never tried E on any other formula though.

canters, how long until your move?

Hope everyone has lovely New Years!

Happy New Year everyone! StarStarStar

It's been an incredible 2016 for this thread (and the TTC threads we were all on), with all the pregnancies and babies. I've really enjoyed being on this journey with you all and couldn't have done it without you.

Like Miley I was a little worried about coming on here and having so much to catch up on. But as she says, it looks like everyone has been super busy. Hope you all had lovely Christmases! I've loved seeing all your bubbas dresses up on IG.

Miley - interesting what you're saying about H teething on your boobs. The last day or so have been agony during feeding as Q has been really chewing on my nipples. I re-latch her, but it keeps happening. I hadn't thought about teething (though she is drooling an awful lot).

Should I be getting her something like a chew teething toy to her instead?

LisaTheSimpson · 02/01/2017 11:49

Damn it, didn't see the new thread! Will copy this over to there....
