Behold, the wonder of birth! Members from 6 weeks bfp to post-partum wonder Mamas! No question to grotty or minging.

We've come full circle from obsessing about cervical mucus to now obsessing if it's our vagina baby plug going! What larks!

Lots of talk about poo, ours and now babies too! Baby brain is REAL! From morning sickness in the first trimester to the third trimester struggle of getting out of bed ( "walrus-ing"in our house), to actual real babies who are growing so fast! Discussion on the merits of sleepyhead and Ewan the dream sheep.

Sooo many gorgeous babies now! And equally lovely Mummy's! We are amazing! What a year! Can you believe it's been a year since our first tentative TTC thread!? Look how far we've come!

Roll up, literally, in my case, cause I'm practically rotund! for TTC #1 Grads!

Jan no worries for me but for 16 week old Atticus who has been admired mauled by said whooper the last 2 days Sad

Janubub · 01/12/2016 19:48

Bunch - but if YOU had the vaccination in pregnancy, shouldn't baby be covered? Isn't it also covered in their 2 month jabs?

Mileymoocow · 01/12/2016 20:00

bunch Atticus should be fine, try not to worry! He should be covered by his 8 week vacs.

Mileymoocow · 01/12/2016 20:05

lillian Harrison point blank refuses a bottle from me but (usually) will happily have one from OH/my mum. That's fine by me for now though! I have no need to feed him a bottle. I do worry how he's going to react to weaning though. Booby milk is brilliant for a lot of things! Grin I used some on Harrison eye and my own when we had conjunctivitis and it cleared it up brilliantly.

Here's our first Christmas outfit photo Smile

Wonder how stardrey is getting on!

Try not to worry bunch A would have gotten the 5 in 1 (includes whooping cough) at his 8w and 12w vaccinations. I think there is another booster at 16w?

www.nhs.uk/conditions/vaccinations/pages/childhood-vaccination-schedule.aspx

Omg miley that outfit is adorable haha!!! I need to get in on these Christmas outfits! I read about the breast milk and conjunctivitis! That stuff really is like magic.

PotatosMum · 01/12/2016 21:26

OMG Miley where did you get that outfit? It's great!!!

Bunch as others have said, I'm sure A will be OK.

Lillian Arya cries out in her sleep quite a lot too. I don't think it's anything to worry about. I just stroke her face or hold her hand and she's back in deep sleep again.

Lovely hope the scan went well.

Bunch yay that outfit is so cute!

nev woohoo on 8 hours.

Marmite on no, so sorry to hear about your OH, but something will come up.

So, it's taken me this long to work out that fleece sleep suits over a normal sleep suit are fab for keeping Arya warm when she's in the car seat.

Spent today talking to the local press and having photos taken. They're interested in doing an article based on my Costa blog posts Grin

If anyone likes craft beer or knows anyone who does you can get £10 off an order at www.beer52.com with code grumpymum10 Smile it's a code they've given me to offer my blog readers.

BunchOfBobs · 01/12/2016 22:18

Thanks for the kind words everyone but the nephew on question should also be covered by his jabs and would appear he isn't. A is due his boosters now. He gets them in a week. I'm phoning the HV in the morning.

AudreyBradshaw · 02/12/2016 06:53

I'm here! Just loving every minute! Baby is named Lawrence Elijah Bryn. Getting breast feed established and spending all my time just looking at my beautiful boy! Section scar seemingly healing well, I keep forgetting about it until I pull at it. Belly contracting nicely, long may it continue! My feet have swelled up horribly as have my ankles but other than them being tight amd slightly sore ive no complaints. Was discharged afrer 24 hours from hospital. All pain, fear, suffering, genuine hell of labour forgotten from me. I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat for my boy. Dh traumatised, genuinely traumatised.

There's a pic on instagram now Grin can't believe it's the 2nd December already! Need to catch up on thread but where does the time go?

marmite sorry about dh's job, we were in the same position. And if we can battle through, you definitely can. I promise.

Got my tots singing group this morning, so excited to take 'Our Lol' and show him off!

Miley that snowman outfit is adorable!!!

Hope she tries for DH Lillian!! My friend that used it for the weaning also did the same as you to begin with and chucked it and cried, breast milk storage bags were top of her "essentials" list to me!

Poor you jan how many weeks now? They will learn to cope without you there!! Obv not as efficiently Smile

Hope A is okay bunch.

Glad you're doing so well Audrey! Gorgeous photo and I love the name

I had another day at maternity assessment yesterday, blood pressure totally normal but baby was moving less CTG was fairly normal in the end but bump all of a sudden measuring much bigger (measured 38 last Friday but 41 yesterday) so up for a growth scan today and then back to maternity assessment. Fun times. I suspect there may be talk of induction

Evergreen17 · 02/12/2016 08:19

Thank you all! I am going to see the GP next week as this is pretty ridiculous.
Lillian midwife said that breast milk is great to heal rashes of cuts or for the skin Smile, use it!!!
OMG those bubbas is Xmas outfits!!! SmileSmileSmile too cute!
Audrey I am jealous! Smile 10 weeks and some for my due date, I wanna look at my bubba too SmileSmile

IndiX · 02/12/2016 09:55

Good morning everyone,

Autumn had her first hand yesterday, she let out a few big screams and was whingey in the evening but has slept so well! Shecskeot 9pm-5am then 6am and still hasn't woken! I'm just letting her get her rest but will probably wake her at 10am for a feed. She seems ok so far but will see how she gets on today. Was anyone else's baby extra sleepy?
My nipple is feeling a lot better, I only fed on it a couple of times yesterday and have been just expressing and lathering on nipple cream. Really recommend the Lansinoh cream, £10 for a small tube but it's really helped.

Audrey what a gorgeous babe! So happy for you Smile I was in hospital for 24hrs too, much better being in your own bed. Enjoy lots of rest and baby cuddles.

Feefs I hope the growth scan goes ok, I know the measurements can be a load of rubbish sometimes so try not to worry.

Bunch really hope atticus hasn't caught anything. I've always been told baby's immune systems are pretty good in the first few months especially if EBF.

Potato you sound like you're doing really well already with your blog!! Good workGrin

Lillian as others have said DONT THROW BOOB MILK! That stuff is liquid gold Grin just freeze it and it'll come in handy some where in the future. Also Autumn is very vocal in her sleep too, I usually give her the dummy and it quitens her down.

Miley what an adorable little snowman!

Jan glad you're doing well. How long have you got? The last few weeks do drag.

Best wake up sleeping beauty. My boobs are like boulders

IndiX · 02/12/2016 10:09

First jabs* not first handHmm

LisaTheSimpson · 02/12/2016 12:21

What a great sleep, Indi! Quinn was sleepy too, but not as much as Autumn. Enjoy it Grin

Some of you mums with the older bubbas, I remember you talking about humidifiers. Have you had success with them? What rooms do you have them in, and how high do you need to have them on?

Feefeefs · 02/12/2016 12:54

Thanks indi. Scan was fine! They said big side of normal but nothing abnormal. Head down in pelvis and facing my back so good position. Had a big of ordeal this morning straight up to hospital first thing for scan then maternity assessment who didn't do check up (was told last night to cancel today's appointment with community midwife) told me to go to community midwife, went to community midwife blood pressure high again!!! So back to the hospital!! Knackered. At least baby is fine but feeling a bit fed up!!!

Glad your nipple is less sore indi ( not a sentence I've ever said before!)

Feefeefs · 02/12/2016 13:33

Blood pressure straight back to normal after a go on the continuous monitor!!! Think I must be developing a serious case of white coat syndrome!! I never feel particularly anxious at my appointments but there's obviously something sub conscious going on!!

PotatosMum · 02/12/2016 13:38

audrey so pleased your ok and enjoying motherhood. My OH was more traumatised than me too!

Indi I think it's fairly normal for babies to be drowsy after injections.

Lisa I have a humidifier on low in the bedroom overnight and it definitely helps. I reviewed mine on my blog if you'd like a read?

Feef glad baby is fine, hang in there with the back and forth to hospital. I was in and out like a yoyo at the end.

I've bought Arya a baby snug chair and activity centre. It's supposed to help her learn to sit unaided but I think she'll have to use it for very short stints to start with. I like it though.

I have a very disgruntled teething baby today and apparently I'm not allowed to put her down. Hmm

I was in the paper today!!! There's a link to the article on my latest Costa blog post. Please take a look... the photos bloody awful!!!!

LisaTheSimpson · 02/12/2016 13:49

Thanks Potato! Off to peruse your blog!

Mileymoocow · 02/12/2016 17:29

potato it's from John Lewis! I love him in it Smile well done on your article and your blog sounds as though it's doing brilliantly!

bunch how is little man today?

indi hope autumn feels better soon! I'd honestly rather have Harrison cluster feed for an entire 24 hours than have to go through these bloody injections - they're awful Sad

feef I'm glad all is well! You've really had a tough time of this pregnancy! Hope this last stretch flies over for you.

audrey little man is just gorgeous! Well done you Grin and I'm very impressed you're up, off and about with him!!! Shock

Harrison has slept a lot today! He's also started being a touch more unsettled the past 2 days which is really unlike him. Probably because I made him go shopping AGAIN

Yay festive emojis Xmas GrinXmas Biscuit

IndiX · 02/12/2016 17:40

Ladies this may sound a bit crazy but I think Autumn is teething. At 8 weeks old!!! She's drooling lots, biting her hands and not really wanting the dummy, she's rubbing her face more and she's been a bit irritable but that is probably from the injections too so can't tell about her mood. Also she has this little white dot on her bottom gum that isn't going away ( first of all thought it was milk). A lady is my baby massage said her daughter had 2 teeth before 3 months!

Pinklily1 · 02/12/2016 18:03

potato, can you re-post a link to your blog? I think i missed it last time.

indi, we have the hands in mouth etc too, it started at about 11 weeks. No teeth yet though. I think for us it's just a new found discovery of her hands, and touching and feeling things.

Sodasoda · 02/12/2016 18:23

Same here with drooling and hands in mouth pink / indi. Alexa's been drooling a lot the last couple of weeks (she wears bibs now) and it's been in last week she's been stuffing her hand in her mouth and making loud sucking / lip smacking noises and she's definitely not hungry when she does it! She's 12 weeks today Shock Where has the time gone?!

Mileymoocow · 02/12/2016 19:25

Harrison is doing the same indi. He prefers his fist to his dummy.

I'm feeling a little whole fucking lot down and sorry for myself this evening. I'm aware I'm being unreasonable but OH finished work at 6 then went straight out tonight for his 2nd Christmas do with work. Fine. Except I'm having to miss all of mine because he's too incompetent to persevere with Harrison to get him to have bottles. He's at work tomorrow, too, so has asked me to take him in because he'll be hungover Hmm I think I'm just starting to feel lonely. I don't get much adult conversation in the way of friends as I never get to go out with them now. I love my baby so much and of course he's worth it but I didn't expect to basically be doing it on my own and feeling so isolated.

LillianFullStop · 02/12/2016 20:38

Good to know it's not just M that cries out potato and indi - it's only started at week 3 and only on her longer overnight sleeps (not her naps)

Feef I've got those storage bags ready to go! We have lunch out tomorrow so will bring a bottle out to see if she takes it! I should have been using the milk on my stitches! Sounds like you've had quite the day running around to get tests!

Glad to hear nipples are better indi - how is A now after the jabs and the sleeping beauty sleep? M has hers in 3 weeks.

Hope Arya settles down with the teething potato - do they get a temperature when teething?

Omg soda 12 weeks already!?

Glad to hear you and LO are doing so well stardrey! Love the name!!!

Miley DH had 2 work events in a row this week too and she doesn't take the bottle either. I hear you it can be gruelling without that help for an entire day and night. Also feeling like he can go back and join the real world and his old life easily whilst it's a lot harder impossible for us at the moment esp if the LOs don't take the bottle. Good news is that the parties are done now - they can't possibly have any more work dos right??? I love love Harrison's Christmas outfits I must get onto that!!

LillianFullStop · 02/12/2016 20:40

I do not know why I had typed the word "nipples" in bold?!

IndiX · 02/12/2016 21:40

Hahaha the bold nipples made me laugh! Lillian! Autumn has been surprisingly fine after her injections. Yesterday evening she was a bit fussy but she slept really well last night and she's been fine today. She's had good naps, eaten loads and fallen asleep about 15 mins ago after a big feed so hoping she sleeps well again. It isn't nice to see them upset but I'm used to seeing Autumn cry 'proper tears' when she's had a colicky night so that didn't shock or upset me. Don't worry about LO's jabs I'm sure she'll be fine.

Miley I'm sorry you're fed up. I felt the same a few weeks back when DH had a night out and I felt like I was missing out when really I'm the one who does all the hard work and I deserve one! Are you able to see any friends through the week? Just to get out and about and have adult company. Have you joined any classes? If I have a day alone I always try to get out and go round the shops or even to Asda, just so I don't go stir crazy in the house. Is DH helping out more now? Hope you're ok, you know you can always vent on here. Of course you love your baby but you deserve 'me time' too!

Pink/soda maybe it's just that she's found her hands but I have noticed this white dot on her bottom gum and she's just wanting to chew her dummy rather than suck it. I'm really hoping she isn't teething this soon, I thought it would be a few months before I started going through the teething stage!
