They've got no idea how shit early pregnancy can make you feel, do they MyGreenSofa SadAngry?

My DH hasn't been too understanding over the lack of sex as it's the last bloody thing I want at the moment - after two years of doing timed sex a lot, he probably feels a bit hard done by now, haha!! BlushGrin

SharkBastard · 03/09/2016 08:13

Yup, DH isn't quite grasping the whole sickness/tiredness thing. I just remembered we had bread in the car and asked him to grab it as I feel like I'm gonna puke without food and he huffs and fucking puffs about it...! I try explaining it as the hangover that never gets better but he's still not grasping it

Niks2026 · 03/09/2016 08:23

I'm really thirsty too shark. Mainly at night though. Which then means I need a wee, a lot!!
I'm feeling really really down today, I could literally just burst into tears. I'm so depressed about going back to work, my head teacher can be a total cow, doesn't appreciate anything! She sent me a shitty email saying she expected me in this last week to get things sorted even though I'm on a term time only contract. So I arranged childcare at short notice, worked my arsed off, moved all the new school
Stationary delivery (5 pallets worth) probably shouldn't be doing that, took work home and basically dropped everything I had planned for the last couple of days of the summer holidays with my 2 little girls and I wish I had not bothered! I'm constantly piggy in the middle between 2 senior members of staff who feel they thing they want me to do is more important than the other and then I get a bollocking from the one whose job I didn't do first!
And to top it off.....we are meant to be doing a team building activity at the lake Monday!! Not only should I not participate because I am actually pregnant even though they don't know, but I am absolutely petrified of water!!!! I don't want to tell them I'm
Pregnant yet I want to wait til
After my scan but I really don't know why to do?!? Sad sorry for the boring long rant but I just needed to get it out.

Celen · 03/09/2016 08:37

I bet you can't wait for maternity leave Niks, that doesn't sound like a great work environment Sad

I'd tell them about the water thing to be honest. I can't swim and get terrified in deep water (nearly drowned when I was a toddler) and have been able to withdraw from certain team activities in the past because of it.

Sorry that it was one 6 those insomniac type nights. Same here. Anyone else beyond irritated by the presence of their partner in bed. I just felt aggro towards him all night. Spare room tonight!

Anyone managing to do healthy snacks at all? I'm all about the crisps, cheese and instant noodles but would love some healthy inspiration if anyone else has any ideas please.

Who was it that is currently breastfeeding a toddler? Me too, except she's not really a toddler anymore. Are you finding it tough from an energy point of view? Are you considering weaning pre birth or tandeming? I'm currently unsure.

We're off to a cottage in Norfolk for a week in a bit. Not relishing journey but no work and am extra pair of hands is welcome. Happy weekend everyone

Number4OnTheWay · 03/09/2016 09:16

If healthy means chocolate fudge cake for breakfast eco, I'm winning all the way!!

ChatEnOeuf · 03/09/2016 09:22

Not a lot of healthy stuff here. It's all about the bland - toast, dry crackers, pasta and a lot of water.

7.5 hours sounds great Celen! I've averaged an interrupted 5.5 the last four days (night shifts), and yesterday I had an hour's nap then 6hrs last night. DD singing at the top of her voice is an entertaining alarm clock, though I can't throw her out the window Grin.

everdene · 03/09/2016 09:31

At my booking in I said I was eating lots of white toast etc and the midwife (who was going on maternity leave herself yesterday!) said as long as u kept eating that was fine.

Phew!

everdene · 03/09/2016 09:32

I not u!

Do feel a bit bad I'm not eating much veg right now!

hummingbird100 · 03/09/2016 10:46

That sounds absolutely awful Niks!

I'm sending DH out for bacon. DS is being adorable and feeding me his grapes but I need the salt and fat that no grape can provide.

April 2017 #3 - looking forward to first scans and the second trimester!
jpeg28 · 03/09/2016 10:58

Just catching up...

eco my OH drives me mad the minute he gets into bed, he breathes too loud and I just don't know why but I can't stand it!! Last night at 1am I went to the sofa because he was irritating me so much! I sound unreasonable but I can't cope for another 7 months! I need my own bed!!

I'm not eating particularly well. All I wasn't is orange juice!! I managed an avocado and cheese bagel this morning... I seem to crave salt and fat too!!

Just cleaned out our airing cupboard which had become and diy cupboard too... Accidentally emptied an entire pot of blackboard paint on the floor!! Luckily just inside the cupboard so we now have a lovely black cupboard floor! OH was not impressed!! I think it's time for a rest!!

marmitecheesetoast · 03/09/2016 11:19

Haha jpeg whoops! Your airing cupboard/DIY cupboard sounds similar to ours! Need to banish the old paint rollers and paint trays!

Had scan this morning, all went well, got to see and hear the heartbeat really clearly! Think I'd really been so over cautious I was surprised there was something in there never mind with a heartbeat! Measuring about 8 weeks which is what id thought based on my loooong cycles and late Ov. Suddenly feels a lot more real now!! Slightly freaking out! Keep looking down at tummy thinking there's a little heartbeat flickering away in there?!

The sonographer put on the notes that my uterus was anteverted not really sure what this means if anything?

jpeg28 · 03/09/2016 11:22

Amazing news marmite! So glad it went well. I know what you mean about it not feeling real... I still can't actually believe I will have a baby at the end of this! Scan tomorrow so we will see!

MyGreenSofa · 03/09/2016 11:23

I'm sorry not heard of anteverted uterus, but congrats on good scan news marmite!

Snapped at DH in the end so he's taken DD out. I snapped at her too which I feel bad about but I'm trying to get stuff done around the house and DH was just sat on his phone letting her make more mess for me to clear up not engaging with her so as soon as she sees me she wants me to play with her. I will apologise to her when they are back but most certainly not to him! Angry

Number4OnTheWay · 03/09/2016 11:35

Marmite [http://medmum.com/anteverted-uterus/ here]]

Number4OnTheWay · 03/09/2016 11:36

In sure you've already googled though! I think it just means it's tilted back.

Number4OnTheWay · 03/09/2016 11:38

Hmm like fail let me try again here

marmitecheesetoast · 03/09/2016 11:38

Thanks number4 yes had just googled! It means it's tipped forwards! Shouldn't be anything to worry about though apparently. Weird finding out stuff about your anatomy!

sarahhh1984 · 03/09/2016 11:56

Brilliant news, marmite! So happy for you!

Puggleface · 03/09/2016 12:25

Congrats on your scan marmite

I'm sat here with my baby niece asleep on my chest, hoping my heart out that I'll get to take home my own little bundle this time.

Celen · 03/09/2016 12:37

Awww Puggle Smile❤️

jobrum · 03/09/2016 14:48

Great scan news!

eco I'm breastfeeding a 1.5 year old and I think I saw someone else is too. It's not too bad; she only feeds a couple of times a day at most, always at bedtime and I'm very lucky as this pregnancy, like my last, I'm not tired at all. It's a struggle when I'm feeling sick though and a few months ago she lost the ability to fall asleep on her own. She often stirs when she goes into her cot but she has to fall asleep being held. We really need to lower the cot again so its going to be harder to get her in it asleep and with a bump, logistically impossible! But I'll worry about that when I get to it!

jobrum · 03/09/2016 15:10

Oh and no healthy snack ideas here. Halloumi and caramel choco leibniz biscuits make me feel better! I do want fruit juice but can't find the right flavour juice.

Esker · 03/09/2016 15:23

Jobrum - Graprefruit juice? It is SO nice and sour mmmmmm

I just ate a tin of cream of tomato soup AND a tin of tuna with tons of mayo. Crap food heaven. Was a bit suspicious of tuna but the NHS website says you can have up to 4 cans a week, so I figure 1 won't hurt. Erm... will eat some fresh veg later I guess.

SharkBastard · 03/09/2016 15:27

Granola bars, cream crackers, pop tarts and soup have been consumed and it has done nothing for my nausea unsurprisingly!
