Sneaks · 02/02/2007 12:16

I just cant stop weeing and I feel constipated .. funny how the symprtoms appear when you test a bfp isnt it?

Sneaks · 02/02/2007 12:17

Winne I have the cold too. I took lemsip last night. I think paracetemol is ok though?

ejt1764 · 02/02/2007 12:20

Lissie - fantastic news - am made up for you - here's to boring!!

Not in work again - I suffered from labyrinthitis before Christmas and it's come back with a vengeance - felt it coming on again for the past couple of days ... I can cope with the nausea, but nausea and dizziness together are something I can't do ... not great. Have phoned the acupuncturist for her to phone me to get an appointment to be bodged, but am truly feeling dreadful today - this is lasting longer than it has before ....

The good news is the preggie pops arrived this am ... don't know if they're helping with nausea - but at least I haven't still got the foul taste in my mouth!

going to lie down for a bit now ... world is spinning ...

mozhe · 02/02/2007 12:39

What are preggiepops / They sound interesting.....am feeling nauseous v.early this time,( hence the slight anxiety re; twins again....it was like this last time though not with my singletons...hmmm.)...

ejt1764 · 02/02/2007 12:49

They're here:

preggiepops

quite expensive, but friends of mine who have used them swore by them ...

mozhe · 02/02/2007 12:55

Let me know how you get on with them....before I commit myself to ordering them overseas !

ejt1764 · 02/02/2007 13:04

where are you mozhe? They're actually made in USA .... hence why quite pricey in UK I think ...

katycakes · 02/02/2007 13:11

My sil had horrendous ms she tries Preggiepops and they were fantastic.
I suppose they won t suit everyone but if you are v desperate then anything is worth a try!

MrsMcJnr · 02/02/2007 13:23

Morning all hat are well all feeling differently about today? Please remind me I said this in a few weeks when I feel too ill to talk, but I just wish I felt more pregnant ? I have a sore back, the veins on my legs are aching (think I may have inherited the dreaded family varicose veins) and my nipples are very tender but not much else! Queasiness seems to have abated.

Ejt LOL at your comment about not being on a diet anymore, I am bigger than I should be already (and utterly hopeless at dieting) so I am dreading the size I?ll get ? bring on the MS.

Anisse ? your DH sounds really sweet

Jersey ? welcome I know how you feel, I?ve been choked with the cold all week and it?s hard to know what?s making me feel what, baby or cold! Hope you feel much better soon.

Mozhe ? wow! What a big family, I am very [envious] I?m 33 and this is our first so think we?ll be hard pushed to have as many as you, we have twins down both my Grandmother?s lines so you never know! I would actually love twins, we both would. PMSL at your multiple posts ? is it a sign?! I?m having an early scan because I had some bleeding but also due to family history of ectopics (scary) and multiples so I?ll know soon either way.

Way hey Sneaks!! congratulations!!! LOVELY to see you here!

Great news Lissielou, it must have all been very scary for you, so pleased for you

Managed to talk myself out of buying a test today. I just wanted to see the positive again for reassurance although it is a week now since my first positive. I am handing in a sample for the GP on Monday anyway so I managed to tell myself that it will be positive why would it be anything else.

MrsMcJnr · 02/02/2007 13:24

that was meant to say "what are we all feeling differently about today?"

greedyforbabies · 02/02/2007 13:52

hello all!

mozhe! all those posts! was it one for each of your kids? if it was......you are in trouble, cos i counted 8 posts which means triplets for you this time!!!!!

i dont have any symptoms yet, except for sore boobs. i wont start to worry yet!
i am still bleeding quite a lot (its all relative isnt it........when i say quite a lot, i mean like a light period). not had any bright red bleeding so far today, so i am hoping thats good news (last time i said that i had some the next time i checked, so i hope i havent tempted fate now!)
i have my scan on monday, so hopefully that might put my mind at rest a bit.

we have freinds coming round for dinner tonight and i really dont want them to know i am pg, cos i know they wont understand how concerned i am about the bleeding and they will say all the wrong things. any tips on how to fool them i am drinking, cos that will be the big giveaway!

MrsMcJnr · 02/02/2007 14:00

Greedy - I'll be thinking about you on Monday hon. Re the drinking - and I have thought about this A LOT as that is how everyone is going to work it out if I'm not careful - if they are coming to you, it's easy. Virgin G&Ts? Virgin Vodka & orange? make sure you or DH makes the drinks. I think I am going to buy some Ame and decant it into a wine bottle for our family meal next week (say there's just a glass left in an old bottle and I'll finish that first) - sounds devious but it is just too soon for me at the mo.

ejt1764 · 02/02/2007 14:04

Greedy - how about the old favourite: 'I'm on antibiotics' ?

or maybe: 'I read this article in Eve / Heat / She etc., about people being teetotal and am giving it a try.'

or maybe: 'We're seriously trying, so I'm treating my body as a bit of a temple.'

Have tried all of them ... none of them worked, but you may be a better actress then me!

MrsMcJnr - nausea and dizziness returned in full force this morning - and like the flick of a switch, disappeared at 1.04pm .... perhaps I'm on a mornings only diet ....am still waiting for a phone call from the acupuncturist ... she worked miracles for me before!

MrsMcJnr · 02/02/2007 14:12

I have a great one lined up but I can only use it after 20/2.. I've given up booze for lent! I always give something up and most of my friends know that!

Ejt - quick, have some lunch!

lissielou · 02/02/2007 14:21

what times your scan on mon greedy?

OP posts:
Sneaks · 02/02/2007 15:10

Well I had a gp appointment today and I am officially very positive

5 weeks .. gp gave me an EDD of 5th october.but i have varying cycles from 29-31 days so it could be still the 10th. Guess I won't know till scan time.Another 7 weeks away.Feels like an age away. Will be biting my nails till then
Really don't want to end up having another ectopic or m/c ..

Taichimum · 02/02/2007 15:11

Really pleased for you lizzielou. Greedy I found that none of the excuses worked but maybe that is because I am a big drinker that everyone knows I would have to be pg to stop! I found it was more effective to pretend to drink. Depends what you drink but I pretended white wine with watered down apple juice and also white ame. If you drink spirits I also pretended G and T with tonic and slice of lemon. All these worked. Bring on the lying
Feel sick today - had to take day off work the thought of eating or public transport was unbearable. Maybe it is a girl as had no symptoms last two pgs.
I am terrified of twins. No room or money for them. What is it like? We have twins on DH side but I have heard it is only inherited down the female line.

lissielou · 02/02/2007 15:12

sneaks they should give you an early scan, ring your epu and explain the situation

OP posts:
lissielou · 02/02/2007 15:13

pmsl, im using the ads as an excuse

OP posts:
Taichimum · 02/02/2007 15:16

Also all the knicker checker stuff really made me laugh . Was on the bus the other day and thought oh my god my trousers are wet. Got off bus ran to nearest toilet and of course it was nothing. Had had a baby wipe on my lap to sponge down ds after a snack and forgotten.
Sneaky have you had eptopic and m/c before? I am sure they will give you 8 week scan if you have had an eptopic before and are worried.

lissielou · 02/02/2007 15:17

pmsl

OP posts:
Sneaks · 02/02/2007 15:23

Yeah I had an ectopic in 2005 .. it was awful - not a planned pregnancy and I had only found out and gotten my head around the news i was pregnant when it happened I didnt lose either tube as far as i know.

lissielou · 02/02/2007 15:25

you should def get an early scan then sweets

OP posts:
Sneaks · 02/02/2007 15:54

Well I said it to the GP and she said that ectopic was likely to happen in the next 2 weeks if it was going to. . she basically told me to just keep an eye on myself. I know the symptoms from the last time anyway
