bumbleand helbelle my DH is off work today due to a cold - poor wee lamb, can you tell how synpathetic I am?! - in any case, take it easy Flowers

I went to bed yesterday at quarter to 9 Grin spent the weekend gardening as ours is/was a right mess, about two thirds done but rather achey today! Weighed myself this morning ... As long as I don't put on any more weight it'll be fine Grin

SouthDownsSunshine · 16/05/2016 08:42

Sorry to hear that more of you are bleeding. If it's just a bit, try not to worry. I've had bleeding throughout this pregnancy, and baby seems to be doing just fine. However, I've not worked so that I can rest.

I'm going to have to buy new bras today :( None of my bras fit. I hadn't wanted to buy any new, but I can't avoid it.

Azure83 · 16/05/2016 09:02

south that's what I did this weekend! M&S non-wired, two for £14 or something. They're super comfy! I was properly fitted as well. I knew I went up a size but it turns out I went from 34D to 36C. Very confused and clearly don't know how bra sizing works!

Hope all you ladies who are worried and bleeding get good news this week!

Helbelle75 · 16/05/2016 09:34

I went in to set work and am now at the doctor's. Sending my love to everyone in this situation. I've read that the placenta starts taking over around now and so symptoms may start to decrease and placental implantation bleeding may occur. Hoping to goodness this is the case.

Helgathehairy · 16/05/2016 09:34

I had my early scan and all is good. I'm measuring bang on my dates (8+3). There was a little heartbeat! Cautiously optimistic now!

tisilisa · 16/05/2016 10:02

Thinking of you helbelle. Hope everything is good 🙏🙏🙏

bumbleclat · 16/05/2016 11:49

I've just been to the Drs and they've booked me in for an early scan tomorrow morning before 9.
I'm feeling really emotional about it and worried about now going back to work :(

SouthDownsSunshine · 16/05/2016 12:03

Big hugs to helbelle and bumble.

tisilisa · 16/05/2016 12:06

Thinking of you too bumble 🙏🙏🙏

Helbelle75 · 16/05/2016 12:09

Doctors for me too bumble. I've booked in for a private scan this afternoon as don't want to wait for epu one later in the week.
Fingers crossed for us both xx

OrianaBanana · 16/05/2016 12:27

Good luck ladies, thinking of you all xxx

firawla · 16/05/2016 12:48

Good luck to helbelle bumble and any others with bleeding.

I had the tiniest tiniest bit of blood yesterday. Nothing since, so haven't called the hospital, but taking it as a hint to slow down a bit and make sure I don't pick up the other kids at all. They're older now so i don't really carry them but had to help them get down from play equipment in the park etc, and had been mowing the lawn on the weekend. Not sure if those things should be a problem but it might be better if dh does all the strenuous stuff for now!

I got my apt through for the 12 week scan. Annoyingly it's when we're away on holiday though so I'll have to call and change it, and probably have it a week later. The letter said its a fiver per scan pic! Prices have really gone up since my other kids!! Can't wait to see the baby though!

SolomanDaisy · 16/05/2016 12:53

Good luck with the scans helbelle and bumble.

TinySalmon · 16/05/2016 13:08

Thinking of you helbelle and bumble - hope all is well!

kippersandcurtains · 16/05/2016 14:03

Hello team - sorry I can't keep up much, but I do try to red the posts even if I can't write. Joining everyone else in thinking positive thoughts for helbelle and bumble.
A few days into week 11 now and still feel lousy, though managing better than previously. Knackered by 3pm, nauseous from the moment I wake, dread food preparation etc. Ho hum. One week today till scan, which will help. It'll also be nice to be able to tell people the truth, particularly as I look distinctly tubby around the middle, and have a delightful grey complexion - and so am getting some concerned faces in conversation. Of course, no-one likes to actually ask if you're pregnant, even if there are some guessing.
firawla I think I'm going to take your lead and stop routinely picking up my two boys - they don't need it anymore (with a few exceptions) and my back is definitely a bit more creaky than before. Do they know you are pregnant? I haven't explained to my two yet, though will post-12 week scan.
Awaiting news from FB friend (previous MN antenatal board poster from my second pregnancy) of the birth of her second son today (elec. section). Hoping that photos of a brand new person will help give me perspective...

Anewleaf · 16/05/2016 14:14

Sending positive thoughts hellbelle and bumble.

Second week off work and whilst in hospital I was put on these drips which must have done me a world of good as I was able to eat and keep down a meal!

So incredibly weak at the moment and just wishing to get past this period because it's just awful! I miss work, colleagues and the kids won't be saying bye to my year 11s at this rate.

readingrainbow · 16/05/2016 14:23

Lots of positive thoughts for hellbelle and bumble.

Still spotting here but nausea is on the increase. So I'm just going with the flow and not going to worry. Dh is happy for is to book an early scan but maybe not for another week or two once we've moved into our new place and settled slightly. He would have to take time off work etc.

readingrainbow · 16/05/2016 14:24

Anewleaf - feel better soon. Must be misery for you. Flowers

SouthDownsSunshine · 16/05/2016 14:41

anew that must be so tough. This is my seventh week signed off work, plus a week and a half leave over easter. I've really wanted to get back at work at times, but DH and the midwives keep reminding me that I'm growing a new life and that's more important than work. It's not like taking time off for d&v - you're taking time off because you're ill and your baby needs you well. Do you think you might be able to pop in and say goodbye to your year 11s on a better day, or maybe send an email to a colleague for them to read?

I hope you do start to get better soon. Are the meds working a bit?

On a separate note, new comfy bras and pants bought. We don't have a full length mirror so it was a bit eye opening to see how big (overall) I've got. I'm going to have to start watching what I eat as I don't want to put on extra weight over the pregnancy as a whole.

Sorry for the essay, but with my 12 week scan on Monday, I'm starting to have second thoughts about the testing. We get testing for all 3 here. I had always thought I'd get tested, but now I'm not so sure. I don't even know if I'd do anything if they came back with a high likelihood. I think I'll have to do some more research.

firawla · 16/05/2016 14:46

kippers yes mine do know. I would have waited until after 12 week scan to tell them but we went to legoland a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't go on rides so I just told them to day before. They are quite excited so I really do hope everything goes well, would hate to disappoint them!

Anewleaf · 16/05/2016 15:05

Are you taking anything for your nausea reading? Moving house sounds stressful but hopefully it'll be an upgrade for you and your family.

I could write an email South and have it read out. Give me something to do in bed.
New bras sound nice... I'm quite scared started off 34g and am currently a 36K after dd1...I think they start running out of letters after that!

Is the testing screening you're talking about? x

lilydaisyrose · 16/05/2016 15:06

Hello everyone!

Just back from my booking in appt and popping in quickly before I have to shoot off on the school run!

All booked in at 10+1 today and notes home, feels more real now! Saw a lovely home birth champion midwife who remembers me from my two children (born in 2007 & 2009) - remembers giving me sweeps when I was overdue with DC1 Blush. We had a long conversation about BMI and whether or not to get weighed - I ended up getting weighed after listening carefully to her but asked not to know my weight/BMI. I have declined consultant appts and the metabolic clinic but will get extra growth scans at 28, 34 & 36 weeks as well as a presentation scan (due to planned home birth) in late pregnancy. I got a bit upset when recounting my upsetting experiences with consultants & anaethetists due to BMI with DC1, the midwife was lovely and very kind. Got wee checked (fine) and blood taken (eventually out of wrist!!) and got carbon monoxide test (1ppm) and chat re. screenings and whopping cough vaccinations.

Scan 2 weeks today and DH is randomly off that day (very lucky, he is a teacher - just by chance they've a random Monday holiday) so that's next on the horizon.

Thinking of everyone struggling/bleeding - back later to chat properly.

readingrainbow · 16/05/2016 15:17

Nausea isn't bad enough to warrant meds, though I do desperately cast about for different food & drink combos that might ease it a bit. Right now fizzy water with lemon & lime squash works, but not too much at once!

I crave carbs but when I limit my intake I feel better. Ridiculous situation.

Helbelle75 · 16/05/2016 16:01

I'm out ladies. Baby had stopped growing at 8 weeks, no heartbeat.
Best wishes to all of you, thanks for your company.
