We're handholding for the newly graduated viroids and handing out hooyahs to badly behaved miroids. Between womble pains and boobs with veins, some of us are still managing to shag! It's JS Grads 47!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 47th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 46th grads thread is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 60th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Really hope it isn't much longer for you Sock.

The forecast looks lovely and cooler from now. Grin

LondonGirl83 · 15/09/2016 20:56

Sock hope baby comes soon. The other old wives tale is DTD helps. Just thought I'd mention as we are JSers

Canters your reaction is too funny. I've had a male midwife already with this pregnancy. Also most obstetrician-gynecoligists (at least in the US) are men and it has nothing to do with surgery. I imagine the same is true here as on St Thomas hospital the majority of the obgyn consultants who offer private care are men. There was only one woman out of circa 8 consultants.

ChatEnOeuf · 16/09/2016 08:07

One of the loveliest MWs in our trust is male. Gets awards every year :)

Hope you've not too much longer to go, Sock. At least it's getting cooler today.

Glad you're going to see someone, Fuzzy.

MyBlackCat · 16/09/2016 09:24

Hope it's not too long for you sock

I've struggled a bit this week - did a bit too much on Monday and carried something too heavy, feel like I've pulled my stomach muscles quite low down almost under my bump on left side.

Desperate to parkrun tomorrow but walking is uncomfortable today so not hopeful, only plus is I feel better in morning and get worse as day progresses.

Anyone else had this?

Canters15 · 16/09/2016 19:17

I wasn't disputing that lots of men do o&g, in my trust the majority are men too. Given that I'm having an elective section for tokophobia and a big portion of that is disgust at intimate examinations it's fair to say my reaction might not be entirely rational!

LondonGirl83 · 16/09/2016 19:42

Oh, sorry Canters to hear you have tokophobia. Glad that they are giving you the birth option you want though.

Fuzzy glad you are getting some additional support.

SockQueen · 16/09/2016 21:35

Thanks for the support viroids, I'm getting very fed up now! I didn't object to the male midwife, I think it's very unusual but he seemed nice and professional so I wouldn't object in a clinical setting. I think O&G is becoming more female-balanced, certainly more than the other surgical specialties, but it's going to take a long while yet! I considered it as a career for a while but realised I don't like operating enough.

My bump definitely looks like it's "dropped" in the last few days, so I'm hoping that's the head engaging and something will happen soon. Haven't dared suggest DTD to DH yet - he hasn't wanted to for a few weeks as he doesn't want to hurt me/baby, and I don't want to bring it up and get rejected!

Canters15 · 17/09/2016 12:50

No worries London. Thanks, it's definitely the right option for me.

Poor sock, you sound like you're coping really well with going overdue. I hope the bump dropping is the start of something.

SockQueen · 18/09/2016 15:10

Well, I've been stretched and swept again, there was some progress with my cervix (now Bishop 9) but now I just need to get some contractions going!

FuzzyOwl · 18/09/2016 17:28

Surely it can't be much longer Sock and if there is a positive, it must be that the government rather is now cooler. I did not envy anyone giving birth in the recent heatwave.

Hope everyone else is having a good weekend.

SockQueen · 20/09/2016 20:55

I'm getting so fed up now. The last two days I've just started crying for no reason, out of frustration that my stupid uterus is not doing what it should! Not helped by Waitrose not having any raspberry leaf tea available, though I have bought a whole pineapple. Today I've walked at least 2km as briskly as I could, and spent fucking hours on my ball. Also watched some Call the Midwife on Netflix, which just made me cry more. Still just irregular mildly uncomfortable tightenings.

Ah well, in 36 hours hopefully I'll be on my way into hospital for induction...

SockQueen · 20/09/2016 20:56

Oh, and we did give JSing a go on Sunday, but it didn't appear to achieve anything and it wasn't exactly comfortable so I'm not keen to try again...

NameChange30 · 20/09/2016 21:37

Oh Sock, poor you! Hope you can find plenty to distract you until something happens!

FuzzyOwl · 20/09/2016 21:51

Sorry to hear all that Sock. It can't be much longer before Socklet makes an appearance! If you are induced in the end, I hope it goes well.

MyBlackCat · 22/09/2016 21:41

Hope everything is ok sock?

So I'm now suffering from major cramps in my calf muscles, I've not known discomfort like it, if I've been sitting for a while I find it really difficult to walk, they are agony. I'm being woken in the night with crampy spasms, I've got 11 more weeks of this Shock

Also I've probably neglected my pelvic floor and now feel like I need to piss all of the time, not great in a job where I have to present to groups for up to 1.5hrs at a time. Think it's time to get some tena lady and to religiously do my exercises Shock I can fix this right?

FuzzyOwl · 22/09/2016 21:51

Thinking of you Sock.

I hate the leg cramps MyBlack. I've heard banana and tonic water help but I am still suffering so don't have much confidence in them. I am stretching my legs each night in the hope that helps.

Since I am further ahead than you and also haven't been doing my pelvic flood exercises, I really hope it can be fixed!

Hope everyone else is doing well.

LondonGirl83 · 23/09/2016 13:47

Sock hope you've done a baby by now and are just too busy resting and marveling at baby to update fred :)

Who is next in line after Sock?

NameChange30 · 23/09/2016 15:13

Sock I've been thinking of you too. I really hope baby is here and you're both doing well!

According to our stats spreadsheet (which is looking a bit sad and neglected) Fuzzy is next, EDD 5th Nov. Is that right Fuzzy?

NameChange30 · 23/09/2016 15:15

Mimi I notice your 20 week scan was on Monday - how did it go?

MyBlackCat · 23/09/2016 17:26

Geeez there's not very many of us are there? I can't edit, but I'm 34 if anyone wants to amend, my 20 weeks scan was back in July.

FuzzyOwl · 23/09/2016 17:42

No! I can't be next! Shock Due date is 2 November but ELCS will be booked for 39 weeks, assuming the baby isn't earlier like DD was.

NameChange30 · 23/09/2016 19:55

I've updated the spreadsheet!
Chat you're not on there yet but I guess you're probably waiting for your 12 week scan? When is it?

ChatEnOeuf · 23/09/2016 23:33

Oh I don't want to go on any spreadsheets - too superstitious! 12w scan is Oct 5th, but I have an 11w checkup on Weds next week.

Hope all is going smoothly Sock

Low potassium is said to cause restless legs...crisps and bananas apparently.

MyBlackCat · 24/09/2016 08:09

Crisps and bananas are two of my favourite things Smile

I'm going to attempt parkrun this morning, not optimistic that it will be fun, then my parents are coming over for lunch.

Have a good weekend everyone Grin

NameChange30 · 24/09/2016 08:42

Chat Fair enough!
Thanks for tip about restless legs, I get it really badly sometimes.
