OK, OK, so we already had a couple of babies on the last thread, but we're going to struggle to keep up with the number of new arrivals in this one!!!

Congrats to ratty and nectarine

Good lucks mads

I'm still in hospital, was so ill yesterday evening! So had the insane itching from the spinal block. Started with an itchy nose, if anyone had told me how bad it was going to get then I would have known to ask for drugs then before it got really bad. Was in a lot of pain the 1st night, got up next morning and was doing really well, had a shower, had my urinary catheter removed. Then forgot how to pee! Agony of full bladder, contractions and wound, so they started dosing me up with pain killers. They kept on saying I needed to get up and walk but I had so many visitors that I wasn't comfortable being in my nightdress I stayed in bed all day. By afternoon I was in a huge amount of pain and my abdomen was swelling up. They said it was trapped wind, tried to force me to have more pain killers to get me up, which thankfully I refused. More visitors, everyone was having a party around me, not realising I was deteriorating, until I passed out in the bed. Abdomen looked full term again. They were like it is just trapped wind. Then the projectile vomiting started, turns out my intestines has developed ileus on surgery day from the spinal, compounded by the painkillers. All the food from the 2 days came back up mostly undigested, over the next few hours. It was a completely miserable night. The pain of retching with an abdominal wound is horrendous! Had to have all pain relief except paracetamol stopped. Finally started farting at 1am, which has helped but intestines aren't working properly. Looks like I may have to spend today/tonight in hospital as well. Hopefully will actually be able to hold Josh today as couldn't yesterday evening. DH has been wonderful with him and done everything.

monkerina · 04/02/2016 07:56

Northern and Gone, my due date is the 18th and pretty sure I'll go over... you won't be last!! Final day in the office today, wfh tomorrow then maternity leave: cannot wait.

Good luck Madsaz!

madsaz76 · 04/02/2016 07:58

Oh rufus sounds terrible. Hopefully the ileus will pass soon and you can settle down. Really nasty set of symptoms to get - you really don't seem to be having any luck.

clarabellski · 04/02/2016 12:29

Welcome back Till/sky I'm sorry to hear you've been having a rough time Flowers

Mad OMG waters breaking! Exciting (not nearly as exciting as a big delivery of snacks including TUC crackers!). I hope you go into labour spontaneously soon and can avoid the induction.

There are plenty of ladies not due until later in the month - I bet we'll be welcoming babies well into March. No idea if there's a post natal group yet. Maisie/Mawsy/Isla? Do you know?

NorthernChinchilla · 04/02/2016 13:23

Oh my God rufus that sounds horrendous, you poor thing! Glad your DH is being so supportive and here's hoping you get your cuddles Flowers

madsaz76 · 04/02/2016 13:42

God I am so bored. Like beyond bored.

Can't even go on other threads as have somehow attracted abuse from someone for using the wrong 3 letter acronym leading to daft messages which are just irritating me. I suspect I could be a proper troll today if I let myself.

The child has ignored the eviction notice and is quite happy in there. Don't want to go out as worried about risk of unpleasant experiences with dampness.

Can't do a lot as just feel grim walking around. Not the plan I wanted & DH driving me mad already. God give me the strength to not murder anyone with a blunt implement .....

MidnightRun · 04/02/2016 15:09

Mads there is an interesting active post in relationships just now 'what would you do' fairly sure it's a false poster but Iv just had an interesting 20 minutes reading it.

Sorry things aren't progressing quicker for you, have you been doing all the hot curries and bouncing on a ball? Iv put a hot curry in the freezer especially for trying it out nearer the time :p how much longer before you'll get to go in if nothing happens? Hopefully baby will realise it's eviction time and head for the light in the next couple of hours!

birdbrain21 · 04/02/2016 15:27

Mads I had the opposite to you my waters didn't break until I was pushing so was contracting for ages at home before going to hospital it is really frustrating to be waiting around I would try keep up a balance of lots of rest if your not in pain but when your not resting stay really active to help baby drop down and come out quicker

madsaz76 · 04/02/2016 15:29

I've even done some tidying up. I'm just daft to assume that this would happen predictably.

I daren't go near a fake thread. I'm an intolerant git right now. Hey ho - we can set off in a couple of hours and pootle in

Troika · 04/02/2016 17:30

Good luck with the induction saz. My first labour started with waters breaking but I was lucky and contractions started within half an hour.

Sorry to hear of your complications Rufus, wishing you a speedy recovery

MidnightRun · 04/02/2016 22:47

Just realised baby hasn't had hiccups in a few days, normally she has them numerous times during the day then really strong at night time.. Movements totally normal other than that. Is that weird/unusual? Xx

Newlywed123 · 05/02/2016 10:13

NorthernChinchilla it was excellent.. is it weird that I really enjoyed my Labour, well apart from the stinging/burning from pushing. But I don't think anyone enjoys that bit!

Rufus doesn't sound like you're having a good time Sad really hope things get better rapidly for you and you can go home soon to enjoy newborn cuddles. Flowers

It looks like I've had a one side boobjob which is throbbing and Lettie has decided she wants a long morning nap, the little diva! Grin

haquoi123 · 05/02/2016 10:44

Awww so jealous newlywed!

rufus that sounds awful, really hope you feel better soon Flowers

mad all the best of luck with the induction!

midnight my baby hasn't had quite as many hiccups as usual - he still gets them but they're not as often and not quite so severe. Lots of good movement though.

I think I'm getting regular surges, but they're every 20 mins or so - a bit more intense than my usual braxton hicks... Exciting, keep coming!

Troika · 05/02/2016 10:56

Good luck haquoi, hope this is it!

XingXingFox · 05/02/2016 10:56

Exciting hacquoi! Keep us posted!

HandbagFan · 05/02/2016 11:50

Haquoi - No! You're my date twin and you're not allowed to start til I do! I'm not having anything other than trouble walking and a dodgy stomach, so don't you dare go into labour yet! Wink Only joking, hope this is it for you and it's quick and easy.

Good luck to you too, Madsaz. Sending lots of positive thoughts your way for today!

I'm resigned now to be being here til 41+12... 39+6 today. Gong for lunch with my parents and really hoping someone asks "when are you due?" So I can reply tomorrow!

haquoi123 · 05/02/2016 12:13

Not to worry handbag, as soon as I acknowledged it, it all calmed down! Sad Grrr. I'm reading to take my mind off it all in the hopes it'll pick up again

HandbagFan · 05/02/2016 12:20

Oh no! Hope I didn't curse you haquoi! I'm not getting any of these practice rounds - hoping that means when it starts it really starts. Doesn't sound much fun to keep getting excited and let down!

cudbywestrangers · 05/02/2016 15:03

Hi all! A bit late in the day but was wondering if i could join the group? Due date tomorrow, finishing work a couple of days ago and being confined to the house by a toddler with chickenpox has given me a bit of time to play on my phone! Congratulations to those who have already had their babies and hope not too many late pregnancy problems for everyone still waiting!

Rufus200 · 05/02/2016 16:43

Don't think I put a pic up of Joshua-James yet.

Finally home from hospital. 3 very put out cats! Just had to fight one off from the Moses basket when he decided it was a new scratching post with baby inside it. I have a feeling that my 3 fur babies are about to become the least popular members of our house with me and are going to find life very different and that they now have a horrible mummy who doesn't want them anywhere near her.

MidnightRun · 05/02/2016 18:46

Rufus Joshua-James is absolutely gorgeous!!

You must be so so in love! Congratulations xx

clarabellski · 05/02/2016 20:40

rufus he's so tiny! Love!

haquoi123 · 05/02/2016 20:43

Awww rufus, gorgeous!! You know what, he looks like one of his 3d ultrasounds (or more correctly, vice versa)! It's amazing how accurate those are. Beautiful. Glad you're home from hospital :)

Welcome cud, you join midnight and me on our due date tomorrow!

Some pretty full on surges but nothing regular or leading anywhere... This little one is a tease!

MaryEllen1 · 05/02/2016 20:46

Ahhh his gorgeous rufus!!!
