Anyone else with a super faint BFP showing a due date for June 2016?

Got a barely there, second line on Sunday but has taken me this long (and 6 more tests Blush ) to accept that I am finally pregnant again after my mmc in April. Sooooooo excited. Anyone else on the preggers boat with me? :)

Derbygirl ... Don't we all? My dad says it will never stop. He says, you are 32 and I still worry Smile

biking ... Sounds dreadfully confusing. Glad you have someone to help you figure the system out. Best of luck.

Thanks for your wishes for tomorrow. Keeping my fingers and toes very firmly crossed.

lepudding ... you have a repeat scan tomorrow too, don't you? Bestest of luck!

Oops I have been away for 24 hours and got really behind!

London so sorry to hear your news, really hope it happens again for you soon.

Belvedere my in-laws are in Bristol and DH grew up there, we got married in Somerset earlier this year and I loved the countryside around the area when we were looking at venues :-) We haven't decided properly on an area yet but probably want to be just outside of Bristol (as we like a bit of a countryside feel) but with good links into the city, we want to be quite careful not to isolate ourselves so we can get to know more people. If you have any advice on where all the young families tend to be so we can make sure we aren't too far away then that would be great! We did see a nice house in Clevedon but worry there wouldn't be many people our age there and it's quite far out from Bristol itself when traffic is bad. Thinking about areas not too far from the Clifton Bridge at the moment so we can get into the city that way.

Just got back from my first appointment at the doctor since BFP and it was a bit rubbish. I had a list of questions but after I had asked a few she started getting impatient and told me we only had 10 minutes and basically just gave me a print out and told me I was worrying too much and to go away. The printout is really basic stuff that I knew anyway and when I asked about the flu jab she didn't know when I should have it, said she would find out but forgot and by the end of the appointment I felt quite upset and forgot to ask again. I'm a vet and would never treat my clients like that even if I was in a hurry! I think the hormones are making me really emotional because I just cried all the way home even though there's nothing actually wrong, I think I was just hoping to have a nice conversation with someone who could give me advice but instead I don't feel like I know anything new at all :-(

They are referring me to the midwife but I probably won't get seen until just before the 12 week scan, is that normal?

Sorry for such a long post!

Lovelybeano · 12/10/2015 13:24

I daren't phone the doctors, my next door neighbour is the receptionist Confused I don't want anyone to know yet, when do you need to go to the gp?

Derbygirl37 · 12/10/2015 13:32

Omg!! Who's stupid idea was it to eat loads of beetroot yesterday?! Every time I go to the loo, it looks like there's tons of blood Confused Arrgghhh! Lol x

mrsmugoo · 12/10/2015 13:34

In my area you don't need to go to the doctors at all. I made a GP appt last time and when I said I'm pregnant at the appt they basically said "well what do you want us to do about it?!"
I really hate my GP surgery anyway, I wouldn't even be pregnant now if I'd taken their crappy advice when I went to them with my 7 day luteal phase, unable to conceive. I was told to step away from the Internet and stop overanalysing everything. I was given a 21 day blood test that should have been done 7dpo (I.e I ovulate late, so need it later than day 21) which falsely showed I hadn't ovulated which she then said was totally normal to sometimes not ovulate. I'm so glad I went to a private doctor who straightaway did the correct tests and confirmed I have a luteal defect and practiced progesterone. BFP first cycle!!
I'll pop into the midwives clinic sometime this week to get a booking in appt.

JellyBaby26 · 12/10/2015 13:38

rose you should see the midwife for your book in appointment at around 8 weeks. Then you will get your scan at around 12 weeks.

Re your flu jab, just call reception and get booked in for the next flu clinic. I love my doctor but they are a bit useless for ante natal appointments. I would ring and get the midwives number and book in yourself. Don't be a shrinking violet!

lovely tbh I don't think you need to go to the doctors until after you have seen the midwife. All they do is work out your date. But you should get your booking appointment with midwife sorted.

laughingGnomette · 12/10/2015 13:48

Derbygirl37 please see your doctor or local EPU if you're really worried about aches and pains. Its absolutely normal to feel some twinges in early pregnancy but don't let worry eat away at you.

Rose - what a horrible experience! I think some GPs have a 'pregnancy is not an illness' attitude and don't appreciate that I can be a very confusing, worrying time. When I was pregnant with DS, I went to see the doctor first and she gave me the flu jab at that appointment so I imagine you'll be able to make an appointment and have yours whenever suits you.

laughingGnomette · 12/10/2015 13:52

Derbygirl37 - re: beetroot, Haha! I remember getting a very worried phone call from DS's nursery once when I forgot to tell them that he'd eaten loads of beetroot the night before! Oops!

Torfhinn · 12/10/2015 15:01

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience rose, you'll find the midwives much nicer Smile

I've got my scan tomorrow morning as well nehagarg! [handholding emoticon]

lepudding · 12/10/2015 15:09

Yep, nehagarg, scan tomorrow late afternoon and I'm absolutely bricking it. Hugs to all!

On an unrelated and totally TMI note, is anyone else noticing, erm, how damp the general situation down there is? Please tell me I'm not the only one feeling... soggy.

nehagarg · 12/10/2015 15:21

Me, me, me Lepudding ... Been feeling extremely (soggy is a good word) down there today. I read that there will be some discharge because the vagina is trying to stop infections from moving up.

Torfhinn, Lepudding .. I am sure it will go brilliantly for all 3 of us, tomorrow. Group hug! How far along are you girls? I will be 6w5d tomorrow.

Mrspopper · 12/10/2015 15:30

Good luck with all the early scans. Nausea really kicked in today... Bleurgh. Although the bone crunching tiredness seems to jade lifted so able to stay up past 8.30... Woo. I am missing wine :( found some nice (ish) non alcoholic beers.

mrsmugoo · 12/10/2015 15:31

Good luck to all tomorrow's scanees. I'm 5+4 today. I'm starting to feel the teeniest bit nauseous now and I'm flipping exhausted so pretty sure I'm "feeling pregnant" now haha!

(Oh and I've gone off coffee!)

I really feel like 6 weeks will feel like a milestone.

lepudding · 12/10/2015 15:32

I have no idea! Scan last week showed an empty gestational sac, either meaning I was around 5 weeks (so hopefully about 6w now) or a less optimistic alternative. Last AF was on 24 August, and I usually have 30-35 day cycles. The very worry-inducing CB Digital thing told me "only" 2-3 weeks on Thursday which made me lose my shit in a panic as well. I keep trying to work out rough dates but not getting very far.

torfhinn best of luck to you tomorrow as well!

ToInfinity · 12/10/2015 15:35

Me too lepudding! Yuck!

lepudding · 12/10/2015 15:39

Ooh, another question I've just thought of. What's the etiquette for bringing OHs along to appointments/scans? I'm absolutely sh*tting bricks about tomorrow so SO will be coming along, and I'm not sure whether it's the "done thing" to just invite him into the exam room or whether he's supposed to sit in the waiting room until (possibly) called. Sorry if an odd question! Blush

tigress23 · 12/10/2015 15:43

Lepudding it's your appointment and I'm pretty sure you have the right to bring in whoever you want. I bring DH into any appointment I'm nervous about and I don't check first, we just walk in together.

nehagarg · 12/10/2015 15:45

Lepudding... Last time I had my DH in the exam room with me when we went for an early scan (following bleeding) ... Going to do the same tomorrow. Pretty sure its okay. They are used to OHs accompanying for scans. Lots of couples come to my EPU and I havent ever seen the staff bat an eye.

As for dates. I hope, you've only got them off by a week or so. Happens all the time. Smile

Mrsmugoo ... Ahaa! Glad you are beginning to feel a few symptoms now. Though the nausea can be extremely dreadful. I have it off and on and absolutely hate it.

Clockstooticky · 12/10/2015 15:54

rose sorry your gp was a let down. Anything we can help with? Every area is different re midwives, some areas they cost see you for booking at about 5 weeks, sometimes more like 12. Both are ok.

I'm so dizzy and sick.

Violet88 · 12/10/2015 16:10

I've booked an early reassurance scan at 8 weeks, so on the 2nd of November. I take it when it says on the website that you can have an early scan from 7 weeks onwards, it means 7 weeks from LMP and not from actual conception doesn't it?? I thought it did but now I'm doubting myself. Anyone know what I should see at 8 weeks from LMP?

Good luck to everyone having their scans tomorrow!!

lepudding · 12/10/2015 16:17

Yes, weeks are counted from LMP onwards, not from conception (as who knows when during your cycle that occurs). This is also why dates get adjusted during your dating scan etc., as the LMP date might not exactly correspond to the size, depending on when you ovulated/implanted.

AFAIK...

mrsmugoo · 12/10/2015 16:17

Lepudding I took my DH to my booking in appt and both scans but he didn't come to the routine mw appts. They were pretty boring to be honest. He'll come to the scans this time but I doubt he'll bother with any mw appts this time.

mrsmugoo · 12/10/2015 16:20

At 8 weeks you should almost certainly see a heartbeat. My scan is 7+2 and I hope to see a heartbeat too.

Lovelybeano · 12/10/2015 18:31

I'm off to attempt my body combat class as a pregnant person Confused hope I can still do all the moves without putting my hand on my tummy or bursting into random fits of tears like I have been all day haha

Belvedere · 12/10/2015 18:32

Mrsmugoo I feel the same, I'm 5+3 and started to feel sick today. I'm really craving bland food like fish fingers and waffles! Im also tired and my boobs kill so feeling pregnant for sure. I'm looking forward to getting to 6 weeks too, and then I can phone the midwife and make my booking in appointment.

Rose- I work in Lettings in Clifton, Redland, cotham and surrounding area so if you want help let me know. I think Henleaze and westbury park in north Bristol are nice family areas with good affordable houses. But they all are nice to be honest. Let me know if I can help.
