Anyone else with a super faint BFP showing a due date for June 2016?

Got a barely there, second line on Sunday but has taken me this long (and 6 more tests Blush ) to accept that I am finally pregnant again after my mmc in April. Sooooooo excited. Anyone else on the preggers boat with me? :)

Hi Princess I got my BFP on the same day as you, after 7 cycles ttc. I know what you mean about giving up on the "it'll definitely happen this cycle" optimism, I was really starting to think that something was wrong with me and it was never going to happen.

Does anyone know anything about dentistry in the early weeks of pregnancy. Got an appointment to have a crown tomorrow, which will involve a local anaesthetic. Obviously I will tell the dentist tomorrow and see what he says. If its safer not to have the anaesthetic so early in pregnancy I'd rather put the dentist back a few weeks, but then I've read that if the tooth gets infected or gum disease then thats a risk for mc anyway?? Anyone else got this problem?

13loki · 05/10/2015 18:32

Hi. Joining in after lurking a while. I'm not really sure when I am due, because I've only had one period after having our youngest, but I didn't get a BFP until 6 weeks after my period (BFN the day before the BFP). I'm guessing Early June. This will be #4, and I've just had a promotion, too. Dressing having to tell work, but I'm a teacher and lunch duty is a real issue. We weren't going to tell anyone until after a scan, but I'm going out on Friday and my friend will ask me and I'm not sure I can lie. Friend is on mat leave and we have been tag teaming maternity leaves for a few years- she went off, then I went off and she replaced me, then I went back to replace her for her baby and now I am hoping she will replace me again. One day we will work together!

PrincessPunzie · 05/10/2015 18:48

Violet yes exactly the same attitude here! I think because all my friends have either gotten pregnant within three months of trying, or tried for years to no avail, I was convinced that there was no middle ground and that we were now doomed to failure or a long, heartbreaking slog. I feel very lucky, slightly silly for having been so negative, but also like it's too good to be true and something might spoil it at any time. So many conflicting emotions!

laughingGnomette · 05/10/2015 19:00

Oh my gawd I can't keep up with this thread! What a busy month!

nehagarg - Yay! I had my son at the Whittington and can't fault the care I received on the antenatal ward.

Good luck to everyone going for an early scan. I'm calling the EPU tomorrow to arrange mine. I'm absolutely bricking it though and panicking over every ache and pain. Most of them are on the side of the ectopic which I hope is normal three months post surgery... fingers and toes crossed.

nehagarg · 05/10/2015 20:11

Welcome princess and 13loki. Congrats on your BFPs.

Gnomette ... I have hard all good things about the place. They did my ERPC after my mmc in April and they were brilliant. Went out of their way to help me. Didnt have to think twice about registering with them this time around. Smile Just got my booking and scan details too 6th Nov and 11th Nov. cant wait!!

Good luck at the EPU Gnomette. Hopefully its nothing and just the normal aches and pains of pregnancy.

Evening all, I hope you are all well. Welcome to everyone new!

I'm intending to carry my current exercise regime (light aerobics/yoga/pilates) for as long as I can. You might find a lot of instructors will flatly refuse to teach pregnant clients - I was booted out of both my pilates classes with no. 1. This time round I'm with a council run gym who are a bit more relaxed about these things. I went to pilates this evening and told the instructor and she said if I were a private client she would 'send me on my way' Shock I'm just taking it easy - aiming for maintenance rather than improvement.

Getting lots of lower abdominal pain/twinges, especially on the right hand side. I don't remember if I had this last time. I get them more when I move around. Anyone else got this?

nehagarg · 05/10/2015 20:46

I get mine when I move around too Torfhinn but not always. For example, had proper aches while cooking etc yesterday. Nothing today. Comes and goes.

Sometimes pain on one side can be related to where you ovulated from. I know because my last pregnancy I was scanned early with ?ectopic and the pain was just where I'd ovulated (they could see the point of ovulation in scan).

I've got the most rank wind! I never get like this! I'm dreading DP coming home, he'll think our drains are playing up or something!

I'm not planning on telling anyone. I told a couple of people last time and they were supposedly good friends but spread the word so I ended up, for weeks, having to tell people that it wasn't going well, (i found out at 8 weeks that it probably wasn't viable, but there was still a chance. Then finally had confirmation at 11+ weeks), and then that I wasn't pregnant any more, then ended up having a couple of months of work due to all the complications.

Defo going to be team yellow this time! I loved it last time. So exciting. (although I think it's a boy)

Theresaflyinmyhouse · 05/10/2015 21:38

Oh and I've got a personal trainer. Just wondering if I should tell her? She's a friend so I'd kind of rather not, but then also feel I should...

earlgreydrinker · 05/10/2015 21:46

I've been aching on my left side but it's eased off this evening thankfully, I was a bit worried. But then everything at this stage is worrying!

I teach yoga and have trained in pregnancy yoga. We were told not to take on new people until after 14 weeks. If you regularly go to classes though you should be able to keep going with modifications but tell your instructor. Prenatal yoga is great for keeping active. I did yoga right up till my due date. I will swim later in my pregnancy too. However, as I recall between 8 and 12 weeks last time I was too knackered to get off the sofa most evenings!

bikingintherain · 05/10/2015 21:49

Congratulations to the newbies and everything crossed here for those with early scans.

Violet88 I would call the dentist before you go to say you've just found out your pregnant. I needed quite a bit of work doing after DD1 and the deal I made with myself and dentist was that I would get it all done before trying for DS. When I was pregnant they wouldn't touch me. But post preganacy had one final bit done. The benefit was though that many of the cost were covered by the NHS with the medical card you get. It may of course been the work that I needed doing, but it might save yourself a trip if you cal them first thing.

bikingintherain · 05/10/2015 21:50

Thinking about it, I think part of the problem is that your gums have a tendency to bleed lot more during pregnancy.

laughingGnomette · 05/10/2015 22:42

Theresaflyinmyhouse - I'm really sorry you had to go through the pain of explaining to everyone. I can't believe people didn't keep something like that to themselves. I'm not telling anyone (apart from DP) until everything appears to be safe and in place.

nehagarg - ooh booking in and scan dates! Very exciting! I hope the time flies smoothly by for you. I'm so sorry about your mmc. It is comforting to know that if things go wrong we are in safe hands.
One thing I'm quite curious to know is if they still offer acupuncture to bring on labour. It didn't work for me but they put some extra pins to help with my swollen ankles and it saved my sanity and was an absolute miracle cure!

Team yellow here too. I found out with DS but I don't plan to have more than two children so I'd like this one to be a surprise.

I keep telling myself not to get too excited incase something goes wrong but I can't help it! Think positive eh?

LittleTink76 · 05/10/2015 22:55

I might try pre-natal yogo if I can buy a dvd. I always work out at home (well apart from when I'm running). I try to work out 4 times a week & when I do my yoga dvd I'm careful not to do anything around my abdominal area.

I'm turning in to a real worrier with this pregnancy even though I keep telling myself to be positive. I'm constantly worrying that my symptoms aren't as strong, I think I'm getting a bit obsessed with the few symptoms I do have. I know I need to relax a bit but it's easier said than done.

Hope everyone is ok.

LondonGirl83 · 05/10/2015 23:05

Hi all! I haven't read all 18 pages but I'd love to join! I got my BFP last Wednesday but it is only starting to sink in. DH and I only started trying in August share happily surprised its happened so quickly (also mildly terrified)

Our due date is June 9th and I'm just about 4.5 weeks along.

JellyBaby26 · 06/10/2015 07:03

london we are due date buddies! Although guaranteed they won't arrive on the same day!

I don't have any exercise to give up. I walked a lot last time and swam but not as easy with a 4.5 month old. I have a few pg yoga/Pilates DVDs that I may do in the hope they will ease my hip pain!

Snowflake16 · 06/10/2015 07:30

Morning all, currently 6wks 3days and sleep is starting to return to normal Grin
Now it's the nausea that's my biggest problem, haven't been sick yet but the smell of food is the work of the devil. Can't cook anything so have been eating things like cereal and toast for the last couple of days. I really hope this phase doesn't last too long, I love my food.

Congratulations and welcome to all the new joiners.

belkins · 06/10/2015 07:38

Had my bloods taken yesterday, they're at 210 so incredibly low.

I'm pretty sure it's only the progesterone stopping me from bleeding. This will be my 8th miscarriage. I'm one of those people that some of you are afraid to tell Blush

Pls could someone take me off the list? I could be wrong, there may be a miracle waiting to happen over the next few days but this thread isn't the right place to air my fears - it makes it too stressful for all of you!

Best of luck to you all, fingers crossed for a non eventful 8months for you x

mrsmugoo · 06/10/2015 08:06

Belkins I'm so sorry :( I really, really hope it works out and that you have support around you Thanks

Violet88 · 06/10/2015 08:14

So so sorry to hear that Belkins and fingers crossed that it isn't what you think and you come back to the group. xxx

lepudding · 06/10/2015 08:15

Belkins, that's terrible and I hope things work out. Flowers and hugs to you.

nehagarg · 06/10/2015 08:49

Oh no belkins. Fingers crossed that its not what you think. Hugs. Flowers
