Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
AngeG · 04/12/2006 11:21

fantastic names. Any ideas for me

geordiemacmincepie · 04/12/2006 11:22

angelG???

Sexonreindeerlegs · 04/12/2006 11:23

How about AngeGabrielle? or however you spell it!

geordiemacmincepie · 04/12/2006 11:24

angelG???

AngeGabriel · 04/12/2006 11:32

Thanks for the ideas guys. Not sure if that's how you spell gabriel either, but checked and think it's right

MerryBugmum · 04/12/2006 11:33

Cough, cough, cough

So glad to see MIAM back, although she claimed to be having her scan the same day as me, but mine is in fact tomorrow and hers the next day, so one of us was muddled

Tried my name change, but not convinced it worked.

Hope everyone is well, especially Geordie - as let's face it, we've had more than our fair share of sickness, so it seems doubly awful that she's have a sickness bug!

Sexonreindeerlegs · 04/12/2006 11:35

Fabulous names! Soooo festive I am now quite excited!

MerryBugmum · 04/12/2006 11:35

Ooh, it did work. And the coughs were because I have the cough from HELL, stopping me sleeping and I won't dare take DS to Tumble Tots today either. Sigh. Plus I'm concerned that if I cough through my scan, they won't get the measurements they need. Oh, and can we say the words urinary incontinence? You first timers will have all the joys of this if you go for another baby...

AngeGabriel · 04/12/2006 11:44

Oh poor you merrybugmum - hope your feeling better soon.

Urinary incontinence mmmm yes the joys of being pregnant. Speaking of which, I've noticed in the last few days that I am ummm leaking from my norks already. Not loads or all the time just at night probably when I lean on them. It happened in my last pg. Just wondered if anyone else has had this Oh I'm 22+1 today.

SparklySnowflakeKid · 04/12/2006 11:47

Morning folks - have FINISHED MY CHRISTMAS SHOPPING Get to wrao them all up now - going to make an effort this year and use ribbon

My tumble drier arrives today - thank goodness - the chinese laundry is now officially closed

Love the new names

MerryBugmum · 04/12/2006 11:47

Thanks, AngeGabriel. And you did spell Gabriel right; the reason I know is because I LOVE that name, but if this baby is another boy, we can't use it as round here he would get called 'Gay Boy'. Not, I hasten to add, that I'd mind if he turned out to be actually gay as an adult, but I don't want to offer the nasty little creature teasing ammo on a plate So maybe I should hope it's a pink one? Naming would be easier, I think

SparklySnowflakeKid · 04/12/2006 11:48

Me too re the leaking - just a little - seems to dry on then flake off ROFL

MerryBugmum · 04/12/2006 11:48

Nasty little creatureS that is. The name callers. Not my baby!

CaptainDippyClausWithABump · 04/12/2006 11:53

Awww, Bugmum, that is a shame - I think Gabriel is a Beauitful name!! Awww, little DD2 is leaning on me as I type this. She is so cute!

Think people's Festive Names are fab - Well Done!

HollyandMistletoeforever · 04/12/2006 12:01

MerryBug - You'd be ok in Ireland with Gabriel - very popular there. And look at Gabriel Byrne - mmmmm! . Don't look at Gay Byrne though (anyone who has spent any time in Ireland will know what I mean!!).

Taking a day off work tomorrow to finish ALL my Christmas shopping (this is just for Ireland tho, done only a few things for here). A friend is flying to Dublin next week and will take all my packages for me to avoid postal nightmares so I need to get my skates on! Then maybe I should start to write some Christmas cards...

heidle · 04/12/2006 12:23

was just wondering who all these bizarre people were who had hijacked our thread.............but then of course I read back through and it all became clear!
off to attempt a change myself........back in a mo!

harktheheraldheidlesings · 04/12/2006 12:26

did that work?

harktheheraldheidlesings · 04/12/2006 12:27

oh good
time for lunch after all that effort I think.....

hotlipsmummy · 04/12/2006 12:35

LOL at all the festive names! Not wanting to be bah humbug but my name in RL is quite festive already!! So not sure what I could change mine too without it just being my name, iyswim!

Am feeling a bit about the "leaking" down there (not norks!) too. Just keep at the pelvic floor exercises and am hoping it will go away... plus feeling a bit "cysitisusy" (sp?? word??). am hoping its not an infection...

Sigh, back to work - although am taking the next Mondays off to use up some holiday so have just worked out this is my last Monday at work until 8 Jan - hoorah!

SleepInHeavenlyPesha · 04/12/2006 13:26

Hi all, am loving all the xmas names Sexonreindeerlegs, is that legal?!

I am completely lost, ahve popped in a few times over the weekend but not long enough to actually post so now dont remember anything and really wouldn't know where to start. I am absolutely shattered today, hardly slept at all last night. Dps stepdad had a heart attack sat evening and although it was a major one and he seems fine now (moaning about missing fa cup yesterday and asking consultant if he knew cricket scores!! Oh and complaining about being kept in cos he was hoping to go back to work tues ) its obviously still really worrying. He had a scare a while ago i think and eats very healthily, has never smoked, drinks wine of an evening but not an excessive amount and is a gardener so fit and active so hard to know really what else he can do. But I am really worrying about dp as his real dad died when dp was about 3 and it was his issues with that that caused problems last time i was pg and so now to have worries over bean, and his grandad has just had an operation to remove a lump from his tongue and now his stepdad in hospital is all abit much at once and men aren't the best at dealing with things like this really are they! I think he'll be ok, everything else is going really well for him and us, just as long as nothing else happens and things dont get any worse.
Sorry if thats all really garbled, i did say i was tired didnt i?!

Anyway have mw this afternoon at 2.45 so dp is racing straight over after he finishes work at 2 so i dont have to take ds with me which is a relief. Have to try and convince mw we need a scan at 28 weeks. hopefully wont be a problem but you never know. No idea who im seeing, there are a group of mws at my surgery and so far have only met one at my booking in, last time I went is was a mw from a different surgery covering who I didnt like at all but fingers crossed it be someone nice this time.

SleepInHeavenlyPesha · 04/12/2006 13:33

Oh re the christmas giving thread, I think although for most people its cos they are really short of money there are some mnetters who have been nominated because they have had a really difficult time lately and so people felt receiving a gift this christmas for them or their children would really lift their spirits, even if they weren't particularly short of money. and also as someone else said (sorry forgotten who it was ) some people have received vouchers so will have been buying things with them perhaps?

weewishyouamerryonion · 04/12/2006 14:00

pesha - what a tough weekend for you. hope it goes ok this afternoon with MW.

I agree with the stuff you said about the xmas thread (sorry to others here for hijacking this one about it!) and i am pleased to have been part of it. what i found a bit uncomfortable is that i read some of those who have received gifts / vouchers then talking on other threads about ordering designer clothes/ accessories online for their LO. it is my own view that if someone could afford to do this then maybe they could think of sending MN gift / voucher to someone else? not a major issue but i found it interesting.

ChillyTiliTinsel · 04/12/2006 14:39

Hello ladies.

Hope all is well have had a quick scan through and as per usual cant remember a bloomin thing!.

Thanks all for the congrats on the scan.It still hasnt sunk in that its a little boy swimming around in there. We are thinking on Alex for his name, well its the only one me and DH kind of agree on.

Best of luck to all with scans coming up.
I really need to do a proper catch up.so sincere apologies for all I have missed

love all the festive names.
Take care allxxx

runnyhabbit · 04/12/2006 14:55

Afternoon ladies

Loving all things festive
Just need to think of a festive name

Got docs this afternoon to try and sort this dreaded thrush out. And I'm feeling a bit cysitisusy too. Like that word Hotlips, think I'll add it to the runnyhabbit dictionary

Really want to decorate this weekend, but as dh pointed out, we need to actually finish properly decorating first Got paint etc but the smell really turns my stomach, so have to wait until dh gets some time off work. Never mind.

Off to do some housework while I'm in the mood.

x
