I'm quite lucky because I tend to wear baggy trousers anyway so am managing to be fairly comfy at the moment (as comfy as you can get with constant nausea anyway).

Stocking I'm 5'3 as well and find getting good-fitting trousers a nightmare at the best of times (usually end up in Next Petite)... But of course nowhere will do Maternity AND Petite trousers, I think I am going to be doing a lot of rolling-up / sewing-up!!

BananaRaces · 15/07/2015 10:42

Meant to say I'm 5'3 with very short legs!!

clarabellski · 15/07/2015 10:48

I'm at the opposite end of the spectrum - 6ft with 35 inch inside legs. The range of maternity clothes that might fit me is uninspiring to say the least. I think I'm going to live in tights and smocks.

Spanoo · 15/07/2015 10:49

primary and stocking I feel your pains. So far I'm really not good at enjoying being pregnant!

brummie your awesome attitude inspires me to feel more positive though!

Pogmella · 15/07/2015 10:51

Banana and Stocking if anywhere sells those mid calf length/capri trousers in maternity I usually find that those stop at my ankle and fit like normal straight leg trousers?!

StockingFullOfCoal · 15/07/2015 10:52

clara DH is 6'6 and a 38-39 inside leg. The struggle is real!

jellypi3 · 15/07/2015 10:57

i'm not a fan of top shop, they never fit right. same as primark, never seem to fit properly. I'm a size 14, 5'8 (although I think i'm teetering on a 16 with all the crap i'm scoffing) and do struggle to find clothes that are either long enough, big enough around the bum and small enough around the bust!

lol stocking, are you sure you're not my sister in law (she is 5/3 and my brother is 6/6!)

I hear you jellypi, let's start a campaign for maternity trousers that actually cover your bum and (in my case anyway) don't create a muffin top!!!

RattyCatty · 15/07/2015 11:06

Scan was good thank you ladies!

Would def recommend ultrasound direct in Wimbledon if anyone is near, the sonograoher was lovely. Saw baby! Measures 11+2 which fits dates from EPU scan. Was wriggling round lots! So surreal!

Marsaday · 15/07/2015 11:12

I'm in Barcelona ,its 35 degrees.
Very confused by the arguing as not had time yo read back, so just popped in to say that i got maternity jeans from Next with my last pg and found them good. I ordered loads of sizes to store , tries them on.there and got refunded any that didn't fit.
Also the only place that i found decent black work trousers.

BananaRaces · 15/07/2015 11:13

Congrats Ratty Yay!!

Stocking I'm 5'3 and DH is 6'4! It's useful having someone who can reach things in high places. Grin

Pogmella Oooh, that's not a bad shout (starts Googling).

StockingFullOfCoal · 15/07/2015 11:13

clara hahaha possibly! Got any Olympic connections in the family?

Who do I PM about the FB group?

Purdiepipesdown · 15/07/2015 11:17

So we're reporting now, are we?! Despite my having been called a vile bellend and being directly referenced from a previous group and personally attacked? Right-o..

clumsypots · 15/07/2015 11:19

Had my appointment with the maternity consultant today, scan booked in for 5th August yay! Bad news is I have the marker for this syndrome but won't know conclusively for 12 weeks, consultant gave me some rather blunt statistics and has started me on aspirin as well as the clexane. Feeling rather emotional now.

I am off on the Great Trouser Hunt today, I will report back if I find anything decent (although anything that doesn't split and show my knickers to the world would be a bonus at this point!)

Brummiegirl15 · 15/07/2015 11:20

I'm 5ft so defo thinking rolling up is needed!!!

Purdiepipesdown · 15/07/2015 11:24

Ratty, that is fabulous news.

Next mat leggings are great, so are Red Herring for at least attempting to be stylish. H&M are terribly manufactured and nowhere has anyone invented maternity tights fit for purpose.

Is anyone else feeling a compulsion to jump the fit-looking blokes on the train/in the supermarket/washing their windows?

twinsandapenguin · 15/07/2015 11:35

You can PM me about the FB group stocking

Boobear1983 · 15/07/2015 11:35

I went to primarni a few days ago and bought some long tunic tops which I'm wearing over leggings. I bought a size up from my normal so hopefully they'll do for a few months. I'm usually a size 10 on top and a 12 on the bottom but I've always struggled with clothes, i have short dumpy legs, a slim waist and a long torso. Trousers are usually too long but too big round the waist, hence living in leggings and tunics! I can still fit into most jeans now (11+1) however i don't know how long that will last....

I don't have a bump as such yet, really bloated at the end of the day and have definitely put on a few pounds but my stomach goes back to being flat in the morning.

I'm holding off buying maternity clothes for a while, still worried something will go wrong.

stocking my only Olympic connection is my athletic ability to eat biscuits at the moment. Biscuit

That's lovely scan news ratty

2 more weeks of limbo still to go here for the 12 week scan. Anyone got any insights on how not to go completely mad during this time?

haquoi123 · 15/07/2015 11:51

clumsy I'm sorry to hear you've got the marker. That's really hard news to get. Have you got support? Is the Dr helpful, even if blunt?

Littleoakhorn · 15/07/2015 11:52

Brummie every preganancy, birth and baby is different so although us 2nd and 3rd timers sound like we know what we're talking about, we'll have plenty of surprises along the way.

I survived a presentation to senior management this morning Smile and I'm sooooo relieved.

I'm counting down the days until I stop feeling sick. I make it 24 to go!

Boobear1983 · 15/07/2015 11:56
