Brickie totally agree with you! She should be enjoying life.

FX for good news manatee and billi

frozenfairy123 · 18/06/2015 06:19

Manatee thinking of u! Please update us asap.

So sorry billi

Having hit 10 weeks my nausea and vomiting has declined. So much that rang mw in tears yesterday. She said she can't refer me for a scan unless I'm bleeding. I wasn't preparedto lie as that's tempting fate. Anyway, I had ordered a doppler and it arrived so I thought I would have a listen and found a hb! Amazing! Think I may get a bit addicted. Had 1 last time but it was quite late. Xx

Pugmumlondon · 18/06/2015 06:39

manatee yes keep us posted.

fairy my nausea has also suddenly improved. Trying to see this as positive as am 8 + 3 and heard hb last week at early scan. It does mean I feel more human though which is a big plus!

brickiemum2 · 18/06/2015 06:40

frozen I've just hit 10 weeks too and the nausea has markedly declined. Totally normal, the hcg plateaus and then slowly falls from now on as the placenta takes over. Don't panic. says she having panic attack about tomorrow's scan Hmm

Blackandwhitecat3 · 18/06/2015 06:53

Urgh tmi but poorly tummy in the night and this morning, I feel dreadful. Have to go into work though cos I have an internal job interview Sad. Bit worried I might keel over!

mrsfazruns · 18/06/2015 07:41

Checking in after a few busy days at work and can't keep up!! Thinking of you today manatee and really hope you get good news at your scan!!

After a few rough days I've had 3 good days with minimal symptoms at 10+2 .... Many one else feeling better!? X

kep1979 · 18/06/2015 08:09

Thinking of you manatee

OTheHugeManatee · 18/06/2015 08:12

Well I don't think the prognosis is very good. I had more bleeding and some horrible sharp stomach pains overnight. Sadly I think the most likely prognosis is mc, though I won't know until the scan obviously. The only other possibility, as I wasn't bleeding super heavily, is that the pains were fibroid degeneration. I guess we'll have to wait and see though. I'll let you all know. Thanks for your thoughts and support Flowers

I'm so sorry to hear that. I'll be crossing my fingers for you. There is a lady on another thread who had a lot of heavy bleeding and her pregnancy is progressing so you never know.
Glad you have some support with you, I know I'd be in bits. Thanks Thanks

crumble74 · 18/06/2015 08:29

Fingers crossed for the scan today manatee. Thinking of you Flowers

fishermanswife1 · 18/06/2015 08:33

Everything crossed manatee that this is your fibroid. Try to rest up til your scan. What time are you going in? We are all thinking of you.

fishermanswife1 · 18/06/2015 08:43

Yes mrsfaz, frozen and bwcat. I had a marked improvement in nausea in wk 10. Tiredness though...that has really stepped up. I'm like the walking dead.

11 wks today and hoping for this mystical "glow" and improvement from wk 12. Not convinced I believe in it yet!

Anyone else around wk 10/11 experiencing dry skin and spots? Apparently its due to increased progesterone. But wondered what others may be doing to fight it. As I'm failing and look bloody awful

AlohaMama · 18/06/2015 08:57

So sorry manatee, sounds very scary. Glad you've got your mum with you. We will be thinking of you during your scan, is it this morning? Flowers

impatientlywaiting · 18/06/2015 09:00

So hope it's the fibroid causing all of this worry Manatee.

EdgarAllenPoe · 18/06/2015 09:01

Hope the scan is positive Manatee, hugs for you either way.

Had my first tv-induced sob last night. It was the beginning of DIY SOS Big Build or whatever it's called with Nick 'the housewife's dream' Knowles (that's his official title). It was the usual sad story of a family hit by illness and bad luck which I find touching but doesn't generally set me off. This particular family the dad was an electrician who'd been hit by both a rare syndrome and MND (the poor man!!!) and it was particularly sob-worthy due to his very young family and terminal diagnosis. But the thing that got me was that he'd started to rewire his house before he became ill, and it was only half done and he was unable to complete it. I'm in the middle of rewiring my house and it's in a very similar state. I thought, what if something happened to my fella and the rewire is only half done and Nick Knowles wouldn't be there and boohoohoo what a mess.

So illness and young children losing a parent doesn't make me cry. But not finishing the rewire before the sprog comes does. I must be some kind of monster!

mrschatty · 18/06/2015 09:18

coffee your story just gave me a burst of emotion. How sad that poor woman but like the others said screw you Dr I'm eating my sugar!
manatee let's focus on the fact could be the nasty fibroid xx Let us know how you are
Those discussing ms mine is easing off definitely this week. (10+3 if I'm going off lmp) but still gaggy first thing/when need to eat I'm sure it's normal

mrschatty · 18/06/2015 09:20

Aw edgar ha I'm the same even before I was pg is always find unusual injustices of life devistating and tragedy I could manage!

crumble74 · 18/06/2015 09:34

Yes fisher I usually have really dry skin but now I've been having tiny spots on forehead - not a good look!

Increased progesterone makes sense, I even take extra progesterone so no wonder I'm breaking out. I can stop on Sat though, fingers crossed. Roll on the glow!!

brickiemum2 · 18/06/2015 09:51

Really hoping it's just a naughty fibroid manatee xxx

fish yes, I never get spots on my face but constantly have wee ones on my chin and jaw line at the minute. The skin on my arms and legs isn't good at the best of times but right now I'm clawing it until it bleeds. I think these symptoms ease up later on when progesterone had less of an influence. I think ……

loveulotslikejellytots · 18/06/2015 09:53

Got everything crossed for you manatee. Thanks

On a slightly soppy note, is anyone getting their DH, DP etc a father day card from the bump?

I picked one up in asda because I saw it, but now I'm not sure whether to give it to him! It is a bit soppy and he'd probably think nothing of it if I didn't give him one!

mrschatty · 18/06/2015 09:58

loveu yes I've done it. It's just a wee one nothing soppy just a few words from the bump! Cuuute

TeenieDeenie · 18/06/2015 10:03

Morning all!

Manatee You must be very frightened, I hope your scan goes well this morning and your little bean is oblivious to all that is going on. We're all here for you, let us know how you get on. Fingers and toes firmly crossed.

Glad to hear some ladies are finally getting a little respite from the nausea and sickness. My midwife did mention to me that it can begin to ease anywhere between weeks 10 and 14 due to the placenta starting to take over.

8 weeks today for me, I can't believe the 12 week scans are about to start! Feels like an age away until mine... Crumble are you first on Monday?

These first 12 weeks are such a scary time, I'm glad I have this group for support! Feeling emotional today

MissMartin10 · 18/06/2015 10:44

thinking of you manatee i have my fingers and toes crossed Thanks Thanks xx

MissMartin10 · 18/06/2015 10:46

coffeenut · 18/06/2015 10:46

manatee I really hope it's the fibroids. Sorry you're in pain Sad

yy to the bad skin. Terribly dry/dermatitis on my hands (doc said no cortisone cream either) and spotty on my face.

My nausea completely left and panic ensued at the 9/10 week mark.

11 weeks + 1 today. I want my harmony results One week tomorrow until my scan. So exciting about the monday scan!

And yes, totally agree, if I ever get to 93, I will be living off scotch whisky and chocolate.
