If you're due in November 2015, well here's your ante natal club! Come and talk about vomit inducing man-scents, cheese roasties you simply cannot do without/or stand, the picked ice cream you must have right now, and the bubbling desire to tell the world but checking dates to restrain yourself!

My nausea has really eased up today and I've managed to almost clear my plate! DP wanted to give me a sticker (he gets his knickers in a right old twist about me not eating!) I've begged and pleaded with him for days to make pasta bolognese as that was all I wanted, he did yesterday and I had about 3 bites and couldn't face anymore! He was seriously unimpressed!
Today's craving = Pringles! He's at Tesco now, moaning that yesterday I wanted bacon fries why cant I just eat the rest of them?! Because today is a new day and bacon fries make me want to vomit ok? Keep up!
Oh and yes yes to the spots! All over my face, chest, neck (!?!) and shoulders! I'm disgusting ATM, didn't have this with any of my other pregnancies - quite glad it's not just me!
Congratulations to those who had good news with their scans today (sorry there's too many names for me ATM) Easter Blush

hi everyone, crikey, we're 8 pages into a new thread already!

sounds like everyone is doing very well, although I skipped over those posts about the horror births etc.

Ive known I've been pregnant for a week and everyday has been an anxious one. Some days I have symptoms, some days not. And I worry that something has happened to my baby, has it stopped growing? is it ok? etc the only way to know is if I get a scan every week right?!

Somehow I feel so much dread, I dont think I could get through losing another baby, so I am mega stressed out about this one! ANyone else in the same boat? My first early scan i next fri, friday seems so far away…..

annatha · 01/04/2015 21:44

How old is your DC thumper? I may end up with two under one if blueberry arrives early.

bluebanana your dp sounds like a keeper going out for a cravings run! My dh is also worried that I'm not eating much any healthy foods. Its so hard with nausea though, I'm just focusing on keeping food down.

CuntCourtIsInSession · 01/04/2015 21:51

Great news Thumper!

Ugh, S1mmy it's anxiety inducing for everyone, I think. I have major reasons for concern (genetically) and I just have to bear with it. I've been told I'll get a scan sometime between 11 weeks and 14 weeks and that's it. I've got my first appointment next week at 9 weeks, and I've known since 5+1.

So yes, I think you just have to try and be a bit zen about it. I keep telling myself that whatever the foetus is doing in there, there's nothing at all I can do about it, and its genes have already determined whatever's happened. But some days I'm less zen than others...

Thumperroo · 01/04/2015 21:54

Snap annatha! He will just coming up to his first birthday, however I expect this one to roll up early and for a brief time to have the two under one! Sounds like your the same. No nausea as yet or food cravings, bigger!

Fitnotfatthistime · 01/04/2015 21:55

LOVING the good talk. I've been living on rivetta with soft cheese and smoked salmon, or the same on rice cakes. White fish and veg. Cereal is always amazing. Mini Quorn cocktail sausages. Kikkats. Walkers crisps. Chocolate soya milk. Hot chocolate. Fresh orange juice.

I'm a fitness instructor and taught 4 classes today! 2 x body combat, 1 bodypump and 1 balance so Im not going to sweat the junk Hmm

Thumperroo · 01/04/2015 21:55

Bugger, auto correct.

Fitnotfatthistime · 01/04/2015 21:55

I'm vegetarian most of the time and occasionally eat fish, every pregnancy I've had I have craved fish.

Bumpingalong84 · 01/04/2015 22:13

Hey ladies,
Lovely news Thumperroo
I have felt super nauseous today especially early morning, the smell of eggs sent me retching! Not nice Sad Anyhoo, feeling much brighter this evening, especially coming home to see I have a booking in date 27th April and scan date 11th may! Seems so far away but at least I've got a date now!
Mamama glad your scan went well, fingers crossed for next week

roughtyping · 02/04/2015 07:01

I've been having really vivid dreams. Dreamt last night that a girl I work with was 12 weeks pregnant with twins and I was really annoyed that she didn't tell me! Just texted her and she said her mum, Aunty and best friend have all dreamt about her having twins too - how strange is that?!

Lauramum23 · 02/04/2015 07:16

I've been having weird dreams too but not always pregnancy related. Last night I was kind of back at at secondary school and there was a nerf gun fight! Odd!? I dreamt all sorts last night but I can't remember them all.

FlossyLil · 02/04/2015 07:35

I've been dreaming loads too, it's really disturbing my sleep! What with having to get up to go to the loo multiple times and the dreams, I'm yearning for a decent night's sleep.

Mamama31 · 02/04/2015 07:38

Thumparoo that's great news for you!! Amazing! :)

Thanks Bumping, I feel positive most of the time but then the anxiety and negative thoughts creep in at times when I'm tired etc trying so hard to stay on top of it and have faith. 6 days to go......

CishAndFips · 02/04/2015 08:13

morning all just marking my place so i can catch up on the thread. spent three hours at my booking in app yesterday so didnt have much time to pop in.

Focusfocus · 02/04/2015 08:42

Been up all night puking horrible stuff. Sorry if that's tmi for the morning! Still so bloated and nauseous, also got indigestion. Was rather dressed out yesterday by a pregnant family member's weird reaction to the fact that our pregnancy was planned/timed to suit my professional demands. Mind boggling. Truly.

Thumper that's lovely news!!!

Dreamers - I occasionally have very vivid dreams around birth and labour. My hunch is it's my tokophobia which I have swept under the carpet that's coming through there.

Dressed out? Stressed out*

Lauramum23 · 02/04/2015 08:49

Focus I've just had to look up the meaning of tokophobia! Never come across it but I am a bit chilled when it comes to giving birth, but then again I do get nervous about doing it again though!
Is this your first child I can't remember sorry x

BowiesJumper · 02/04/2015 08:57

Three hours at booking in Cish? Wow! I thought mine was long at an hour. I'm still waiting for my scan date. Impatient!!

I've got spots on my chest too. Yuk!!

Focusfocus · 02/04/2015 09:09

Yup, first pregnancy, first baby!

Great news thumper. I had a scan last Friday and all looked good too. Little heart beat and only one.

I made myself a cheese and bean toastie yesterday. It was amazing. Definitely eating quite a beige diet at the moment.

My 7mo ds had an Ella's Kitchen bangers and mash pouch (was feeling lazy) yesterday and he loves it but it made me feel so sick I was wretching. I can still smell it on him it's so garlicky!

Lauramum23 · 02/04/2015 09:46

Bug oven I'm glad it's not just me that has her own kids making her feel sick!! My daughters hair was making me feel sick the other day!!! It was ready for washing and smelt so strong! Think I'm gonna get some vosene shampoo today I might prefer that smell!

CishAndFips · 02/04/2015 10:09

i know bowies i dont think it was ever that busy with ds but the actual app was about an hour altogether just waited around for two hours. called me through straight away for water sample, height and weight. waited an hour then to be seen by midwife then waitex another 45 min to have bloods taken. i was supposed to book scan whilst i was there but by the time i had finished the department was shut for lunch so they said they will send it in the post. i think it will be the 21st from what the midwife said feels like forever away.

bugoven · 02/04/2015 10:13

laura a friend of mine's little girl had a head that smelt all meaty and it turned out it was a form of cradle cap. I think she used vosene to clear that up so worth a try. I love burying my face into my little boy and usually don't even mind a belch in extreme close up but this smell is awful. Think he'll be having beans on toast for lunch today. I think I can handle that if it lingers.

Lauramum23 · 02/04/2015 10:25

Meaty!??? Grin That made me laugh! No she didn't smell meaty lol just strong hair smell but she has tonnes of hair ( thick blonde shiny she should be on adverts!) and there was a dandruff patch on top because it's hard to wash and rinse properly so I'm sure vosene will help.
Yes beans on toast won't give off odours I'm sure!!
I can remember when I was having my daughter and my friend gave me her baby son to feed a bottle and he belched up a formula burp I swear I could have thrown up there and then!

annatha · 02/04/2015 10:39

thumperroo glad to find someone in the same boat! I'm actually due on dd's first birthday so really hoping this one comes early or v late so I won't miss her special day.

bugoven nausea is the main reason I'm holding off weaning did. She's only 5 months anyway but I'm a complete write off until mid afternoon these days. I can handle nappies and sick as they are but adding mashed up food might just push me over the edge. Sorry dd!
