If you're due in November 2015, well here's your ante natal club! Come and talk about vomit inducing man-scents, cheese roasties you simply cannot do without/or stand, the picked ice cream you must have right now, and the bubbling desire to tell the world but checking dates to restrain yourself!

ooh Flossylil feels like a milestone! Grin
Finally got myself to the GP and filled out the form for the midwife. Feels like a step in the right direction! just gotta wait for them to contact me now Smile

sophiaslullaby · 01/04/2015 18:42

I was just going to say -feel as if I've gone up in the world. A step closer Grin
I'm getting call back from senior midwife tomorrow about having booking in app on Friday (finally!) So lot happier.

Having bad day eating-wise though. Feeling sick and only carbs will 'cure' it. Now wondering what to make DH and me for dinner when DH could eat a horse and I just want cereal.....
Does anyone else just have cereal for tea time?

NewMrsX · 01/04/2015 18:50

Yeah me sophia my current thing is weetabix.

I'm so excited, I'm going to an open clinic thing tomorrow for a group talk. It's what my midwives do before the booking in to inform you of antenatal test choices and stuff so you're prepared for the booking in appointment. It'll probably be boring but I can't wait Grin

Unthoughtknown · 01/04/2015 18:53

Ha I've been waiting for the December thread as well! Came home to a letter from the midwife saying she has tried to contact me. So perhaps my gp surgery had the wrong number. Either way feels like stuff is happening now which is good.

annatha · 01/04/2015 18:58

Sophiaslullaby I'm having coco pops. I put an asda order in earlier and it looks like a 12 year old ordered the food shop- ice cream, loads of kids cereal and several varieties of chicken nuggets Blush

TakesTwoToTango · 01/04/2015 19:14

Grin I'm loving all the tales of crazy food! I too am loving cereal. Raisin bran for me, usually first thing. The morning before I do anything else, in the hope that it will reduce the nausea for he day. No idea if it's working or not, but I have felt a little bit less sick and a bit more able to function for the last two days (just watch me tempt fate!!).

sophiaslullaby · 01/04/2015 19:17

gasp chicken nuggets! I could do with those now. Annatha my last food shop also looked child-like. Fruity polos are now a staple as it gets rid of the metallic taste.

Ah glad there's more ladies in the Breakfast-food Club! Hasn't pleased DH though as he thinks I should be eating more than a bowl of cereal for dinner. Asked him to tell me when I last managed to finished my plate in the last 4weeks...

Karmanna13 · 01/04/2015 19:20

I'm also weird about food at the moment. I'll think of something I fancy for dinner, spend all day fantasising about it, but once it'S on the table I can't bear to eat it. So frustrating as I love my food. Nothing tastes as I would like it to. And poor DH is cooking all the dinners as I can't cope in the kitchen for too long, and I just pick at it, bless him. Big easter dinner at my parents on Saturday but I feel sick just thinking about it. Will be a lot of meat which I've totally gone off...

roughtyping · 01/04/2015 19:22

Hello hello Smile just checking in. Hope everyone's doing well. I'm 9 weeks today Smile scan on the 16th! Still want to stuff my face with all the food.

CuntCourtIsInSession · 01/04/2015 19:39

I'm not normally a big fruit eater but I keep demolishing mangoes, and big fruit platters. And I also basically hate soup but at the moment keep thinking longingly about it. Grin

Crumbelina · 01/04/2015 19:48

Love, love, love the fact that so many of you have the same food tastes as me. I could happily eat Special K all day and my last supermarket trip consisted of Haribo, quavers, Jelly Belly, Lucozade and fizzy strawberry laces. I can't do a weekly shop at the moment - food has to be bought daily after work depending on my food whims.

Ooh chicken nuggets! All I want to eat is kiddie food.

Frescoed · 01/04/2015 19:56

This thread moves fast, almost missed the new one!

CuntCourt I'm trying to keep the gym up as far as I can at the moment, but we'll see how long it lasts! Finding circuits harder than lifting right now, I quite like to focus of lifting even when I feel a bit nauseous...

Food's a bit more of a battle, right now the Bakewell Tarts are winning Grin

I've been to the GP, but only last week - when should I be getting an appointment with a midwife, I'm 8 weeks tomorrow I think? Am I a bit slow off the mark?

Blueblink · 01/04/2015 20:02

Ladies, I'm so pleased we are on food talk! I've just made the worlds most amazing beans on toast! It was wonderful! I've also just been and stocked up on cereal (crunchy nut for me) my DP is also pretty pissed that I'm so disinterested in dinner at the moment. He is actually the main cook in the house and I think he's taken it personally that I just don't fancy what he's cooking!

On another note: Ache! Anyone else's face look like a spotty teenager? Also my boobs, spots all over them! yuck!

AmandaMae · 01/04/2015 20:22

Evening all. Sorry I've been so quiet but I am really struggling with N and V, and now low blood pressure too! Feeling seriously fainty and dizzy, can't think and just no energy at all. Anyway the talk of brekkie food has inspired me and I'm off to get some weetabix. I had to leave the table mid-dinner to chuck and certainly don't fancy the rest of it now. A weetabix and a yoghurt for my poor churning guts.

Welcome aboard to those who have joined!

goodenoughmum88 · 01/04/2015 20:38

Yay! Somewhere to actually talk about impending babyness.
Due no. 2 mid nov by my calculations, no booking in until 5th may as midwives so busy, wondering if I'll get a scan beforehand or not. It's child two so have been exhausted but still going, luckily DH is very hands on and gets it and ds is a sweetie pie really so all good. I think colds are defo worse in pregnancy I never suffer like this when not pregnant! It's rubbish and can't take any decent drugs!!!

annatha · 01/04/2015 20:53

Oooh strawberry laces, I could just eat some of those. crumbelina I've been doing daily food shops too, what was delicious yesterday makes me feel sick today. Luckily my dh is on nights this week so he's happy with cereal for tea (breakfast for him) but we've given up trying to eat together. I'm hoping to do a roast dinner on Sunday but knowing my luck I won't want to eat any of it!

One things for sure though- it feels AMAZING when you finally get to eat what you've been craving. Yesterday's mature cheddar and crackers was the best meal I've had in a long time.

HeirToTheIronThrone · 01/04/2015 20:57

Ugh, I made a lovely chilli for DH when he came back from football. I took about 3 bites and gave mine to him Sad I want to eat but I don't know what!!

Lauramum23 · 01/04/2015 20:58

Well I had a decent tea and wolfed it down curry and rice! Right enjoyed it I did! I just cook what I fancy last night it was tomato soup!

But I am a cereal for tea lass myself and you have now given me a coco pop craving!
I shall purchase some tomorrow!

Lauramum23 · 01/04/2015 21:01

Annatha I had a proper urge for hot cross buns the other day, there was 2 left and I got a sniff of them today and they smelt horrid so I chucked em, you are right one thing you fancy one day is rank the next day!

CuntCourtIsInSession · 01/04/2015 21:06

Frescoed I can't even imagine doing circuits right now, so well done you - I think I'm going to be taking it quite easy for the next while. Grin

Annatha yes - I've made chicken Waldorf salad for myself this evening and it tasted like absolute heaven, but I should probably eat the rest of it now as there's no guarantee I won't find it disgusting tomorrow. Wink

CuntCourtIsInSession · 01/04/2015 21:06

BTW I heartily recommend the Belvoir Ginger Cordial if you come across it at the shops, it's doing my nausea no end of good.

cryingbabymess · 01/04/2015 21:07

Blueblink I've spots all over my cleavage! My face touch wood is alright.

Thumperroo · 01/04/2015 21:12

Hi all. I did pop in to the first thread but dropped off as I had bleeding and cramps. I honestly thought it was another mmc. Happy news today though as an early scan showed a very healthy little bean with good heartbeat. So relieved and looking forward to the chaos of two babies under one!

roughtyping · 01/04/2015 21:14

Lovely news thumper Smile

Yep also have spots on my boobs too. It's rubbish. And on my face!

HeirToTheIronThrone · 01/04/2015 21:15

Great news Thumper!

Laura you have put the idea of hot cross buns in my mind now...
