If you're due in November 2015, well here's your ante natal club! Come and talk about vomit inducing man-scents, cheese roasties you simply cannot do without/or stand, the picked ice cream you must have right now, and the bubbling desire to tell the world but checking dates to restrain yourself!

Has anybody gone off their favourite food items?

I seem to have totally gone off chips, burgers and the like which was my biggest weakness! I miss them, but then actually I miss wanting them, and liking them. I've got some and picked at it, thinking of my former love with fondness and gloom. I want to want my favourite things but they've been replaced by a craving for tart berries?!?!

I think we may have swapped focusfocus - I have been on a real health quick, loving all the quinoa, salmon, super food stuff I could get my hands on. Now all I want is curly fries, baked beans, burgers etc. I don't know what has happened! I have also gone off pizza which I have always loved.

I just had marmite on toast as a snack before going out to dinner (I am still in the office waiting for DP, very bored, hence lots of posts from me). Marmite truly is the food of the gods, followed closely by butter, followed by bread. Mmmmm.

BlueBananas · 31/03/2015 18:56

Oh I miss the feeling of wanting and enjoying food Sad

annatha · 31/03/2015 18:57

Oh Ann I'm so sorry if I upset you, please don't leave the thread. I was incredibly lucky with my birth and can't imagine what it must've been like having a traumatic birth and a premmie too Flowers I hope you get the support you need through this pregnancy and don't let the mws push you into anything you aren't comfortable with.

MamaGotABrandNewBag · 31/03/2015 19:02

I am eating weird stuff, yesterday I had an eggy bread toasted filled with banana and chocolate spread... And jam and cheese sandwich today. picked up an order from new look today, got these jeans thought they were a bargain for £6

CoffeeTwo · 31/03/2015 19:06

Ladies who are not sick and craving stodge, I just had the best tea. Sausages, mash, Yorkshire puddings and gravy. Yummmmm.

BowiesJumper · 31/03/2015 19:16

Oh coffee that sounds amazing. I cannot stop eating. It's ridiculous. I must control myself!

Lauramum23 · 31/03/2015 19:19

I'm about 6 weeks now I think Shock and feeling more sick now,.
I had to have real butter yesterday on toast yum! Tonight we have had tomato soup for tea I couldn't face anything else but there was some left in pan ( husband will take it to work) and omg it stinks gross it's turning my guts!!!
Someone mentioned curry earlier so we will have that tomorrow hope I can eat it!

Don't know if anyone read my post earlier about my daughters stinky hair it's now been washed and trimmed by moi ( I'm a hairdresser) it's so thick she's got lovely hair but hates me brushing it!
So today with my aversion to her hair and tomato soup Lordy Lordy!!!

AnnbagLauramum23 thanks for the advise -I got back on the phone to the hospital and get the feeling my form was lost...So my details were passed over to a midwife straight away and I'm told I'll be getting a call soon...so still no date!

cryingbabymess · 31/03/2015 20:39

I'm still panicking about this stitch feeling on my right side! Confused It's not sore just annoying because it won't go away! Am I being stupid? All I can think of is the person telling me it could be a sign of ectopic! HmmShockConfusedSad they also said it could be something else but I didn't pay attention to that part, only the awful part and I can't stop thinking about it and I'm going off my head!

BlueBananas · 31/03/2015 20:39

Has anybody got signs of a bump yet? Mine is seriously big, keep telling myself it's because it's my 3rd (well 4th pregnancy) and you show earlier with each one, but DP keeps saying that there must be more than one in there because seriously I'm abnormally huge!

cryingbabymess · 31/03/2015 20:40

Blue how far are you? I feel I've a bump but it's just flabby! Lol.

Thanks ladystark Smile I'm struggling with food at the moment but did just eat a cream cake :-)

ninjabeer · 31/03/2015 20:47

Really interesting reading all these posts. I heard from my friend again who is feeling a lot better after seeing her midwife. Just goes to show how much of a roller coaster birth can be. ann I hope you stick around. As a first timer hearing about the experiences of those who have done this before is extremely helpful even if it was not an easy birth and we are all here to support each other.

BlueBananas · 31/03/2015 20:49

I'm only 8 weeks, there's a layer of flab I'm not gonna lie ha but it is definitely bump, completely rounded out at the hips
...trying to muster up the energy to get out of bed and take a picture

BlueBananas · 31/03/2015 20:53

cryingbaby maybe it's a trapped nerve? If it's there all the time but not sore it's less likely to be ectopic, the pain from an ectopic is excruciating, if you're not really suffering I would say probably not
Definitely mention it to your midwife though

cryingbabymess · 31/03/2015 20:58

Blue thank you! I'm relaxing a bit. I feel silly annoying the MW with something like this! I've been sent to new midwives so I don't know them yet. Shock

It's a bit more niggly and sore now I'm lying down but it's defo not sore!

Crumbelina · 31/03/2015 21:04

10+3 and I've had a bump since 6 weeks, which I'm guessing is largely bloating (but didn't stop me buying maternity jeans). People say it tends to get better by 12 weeks so it'll be interesting to see what shape I'm in by then.

Still completely off most food. Cheese on toast for dinner was all I could cope with. I'm soo hoping it goes by 12 weeks - I'm practically counting down and will be pretty miffed if MS is still here. Sad

BlueBananas · 31/03/2015 21:17

cryingbaby you won't be annoying anybody seriously, that is what they're there for. If you're worried give them a ring

CoffeeTwo · 31/03/2015 21:27

crying I've been getting a stitch like pain. It's more noticeable when I move suddenly. I spoke to my practice midwife last week (who was lovely and I was so relieved as the last lot were a bunch of fishwives) and she said it's normal but if it gets painful or if there's blood to go to the gp who can refer to the epu.

Lauramum23 · 31/03/2015 21:30

I'm just podgy by the end of the day, I'm not wearing maternity till I see an actual baby in there! I'll just wear my hideous but oh so comfy joggers!
