If you're due in November 2015, well here's your ante natal club! Come and talk about vomit inducing man-scents, cheese roasties you simply cannot do without/or stand, the picked ice cream you must have right now, and the bubbling desire to tell the world but checking dates to restrain yourself!

roughtyping · 02/04/2015 17:58

halestone I'm so, so sorry. Massive hugs, don't know if you'll read this but I'm really so sorry.

Re dreams - yes dreams about lots of stuff, all really vivid. Very broken sleep too.

So bloated, feel (and look) absolutely massive. Not a proper bump at all, it's all just flab. I hate looking like this. I struggle with my body image anyway so this is hard.

Age gaps - no small age gap for us, DS will be nearly 12! I had him when I was 17 though so prob best I've waited really!

TwoBeesInTheHive · 02/04/2015 18:07

so sorry Halestone Sad

Annatha my dd is 2y4m and my ds is 1y4m and they get on amazing. they are best friends and couldn't be without each other. its so lovely to watch them together Smile

Mamama31 · 02/04/2015 18:07

Roughtyping I will have a 15 year age gap by the time (all being well) this one is born! I had ds when I was 19 (obvs not planned but best thing in my life ever!) and it was all so easy and anxiety free in the early days....this time is terrifying! oh to be young and care free again without analysing everything!

sophiaslullaby · 02/04/2015 18:08

Halestone hope you get to read this and all previous comments to you. So very sorry, sending hugs and as said before hope you've got love and support for you.

NotSpartacus · 02/04/2015 18:15

Evening all.

Halestone. I'm so sorry about your news. Take care of yourself.

I've been feeling pretty rank. Really exhausted , so much so that I came home from work a few hours early today so I could lie down. I'm 8 weeks today so hoping this gets better soon. Food is proving pretty difficult. I have been very strictly low carb for so long, and now I find myself craving salt and vinegar crisps, crusty bread and loads of fruit. Salty chicken soup also. I can't bear to even look at fish or meat. The worst thing is that tonight for dinner all I want is a dirty great pizza from Dominos! Oh! The shame!

I know I am supposed to book at a hospital soon, but am really struggling with it. My nearest is the Whittington where I had my Dd2 (and it was ok) but I am also thinking about UCH (partly because they were so good when I had a missed miscarriage and one of my ectopics). I am going to have an elective section (after two emergency ones I don't fancy a third!) and i think I am likely to have to stay in hospital for a few days afterwards, because my blood pressure rocketed after the last two births. I know the medical care at UCH is brilliant, but I wonder about the 45 min cab ride home after a cs. I could just go for the Whit, but I know so little about the doctors there. The Whit birth centre is amazing, but I won't be going there. Really not sure what to do. They are similarly inconvenient for ante natal appointments and work. Does anyone have any thoughts? What should I prioritise?

Mamama31 · 02/04/2015 18:27

Notsparticus I would go with the place you know and trust. The cab ride home will be a one off thing and over and done with in no time however if you have to stay in hospital for any length of time you want to be comfortable and trusting in the care you receive.

I have eaten so much bread/toast since becoming pregnant it's ridiculous! Can't believe how many loaves we are (I am) going through. I used to only eat bread at wkends as tried to be low carb but today I had for breakfast bacon and egg on toast, lunch supernoodles on toast (someone on here put me in the mood for that) and dinner fish finger and beans in bread lol seriously what is that about?!!!

TheTravellingLemon · 02/04/2015 18:50

I feel sick . I've felt a bit nauseous until now, but I'm actually sitting here concentrating in not vomiting. DH just came home from work and kissed me hello and I was Envy. He had chocolate at lunch and I could smell it on him and it made me heave Sad

Mamama31 · 02/04/2015 18:56

Thetravellinglemon, poor you! How many weeks are you?? I keep waiting for MS to hit but might still be a bit early for me, I'm sure it's enroute if last time is anything to go by!

TheTravellingLemon · 02/04/2015 19:00

8+4. Last time I didn't really have a problem at all apart from when I brushed my teeth. Envy

I hope you escape this time mamama

Mamama31 · 02/04/2015 19:03

Oh you have got along quite far before MS hit! Hopefully it won't stay too long for you. Yes I'd love to escape MS if possible but a small (insane) part of me wants it to feel more pregnant! (what is wrong with me?!)

HeirToTheIronThrone · 02/04/2015 19:07

Hello all. Halestone if you are still around I'd like to add how sorry I am. Please take care of yourself.

I had my booking in appointment today, feeling a bit more reassured that the spotting yesterday and today is normal. Feels a bit more real now I have my file of notes!

TheTravellingLemon · 02/04/2015 19:09

I know what you mean though. It's a long 12 weeks. You just want to know that all is ok. The MS is vile, but strangely reassuring as are the crazy ass dreams and the Incredibly sensitive sense of smell, not to mention the bloating.
