I'm at work, bleeding still and miserable but no one knows so it's bearable roll on Monday for scan so I know either way... No pain at least.

I'm still having very light occasional brown spotting, I know it's likely nothing to worry about but it is causing me anxiety (just being a drama queen I know).

Hello mamama31 I have had brown spotting too. I rang NHS direct and they got me all panicky, they treated it a bit like an emergency and kept saying BLEEDING and I kept repeating that it was NOT BLOOD. I rang GP - out on call. So they told me to ring early pg unit who said it's completely normal. How many weeks are you? I am 4 x

Ash, your not moaning your telling us about something which isn't right and is scary. Thats what we're all here for. No-one tells you that sometimes bleeding can be part and parcel of your pregnancy. Your are doing the right thing getting it checked out.

mamama just saw that your EDD is one day before mine so we are both having the same spotting at the same time. Hopefully it's all ok. I know they said its fine but I just want it to go away!

Missmrsmummy thanks so much for telling me that, it has really reassured me! I am 5 wks tomorrow. I think it worries me because I always got brown spotting in the lead up to my period each month so it's like I'm expecting it to arrive :( I might speak to GP over the phone on Monday for some reassurance and possibly get bloods taken to check everything is at the level it should be. I know im being over the top about it, but the anxiety is just too much. It's taken so long for us to get here I'm absolutely terrified of something going wrong :(

mamama I also got brown spotting before my AF too! Which is why I panicked and rang for advice yesterday. I will be interested to hear what your GP says on Mon. I am going on Weds and might see if I can have bloods taken.

Ps how long were you trying? We took 14 cycles. I was convinced it was because of the spotting. So I took B complex for 2 cycles and got bfp on second cycle. Not sure if it's safe to continue taking them so I'm having one every other day.

Missmrs that is so interesting!! We were ttc for 19 cycles and on the list for ivf. I was told the spotting wasn't an issue. But I also started taking bcomplex 2 cycles ago and got bfp on 2nd cycle!!!! Oh my goodness can you believe how similar wee are?!!! I stopped the bcomplex completely when I got my bfp, and just started taking pregnacare as I was taking B100 complex and that has quite high bvit doses I was afraid of taking too much. I'm wondering if being pre af spotters with old blood being stored somewhere each month and coming out pre af, if this is just our bodies getting rid of the old blood we had stored?! Just a guess, a nice guess of what I want it to be of course!

Ugh I am really struggling to eat anything. OH keeps trying to suggest things to eat but everything makes me feel sick on top of the nausea I already have. I seem to be surviving on toast and pasta with cheese, but worried this isn't exactly very healthy. Has anyone got any good tips of food they can eat? I am struggling with anything unless its plain which is so far from my normal appetite!

Gosh mamama that's unbelievable - we had the very same experience! So glad you didn't have to go through the ivf process in the end. We were due to have private consultation this week so we cancelled as we got our bfp! I'm just hoping my pg vitamins have enough b vits in!

Sorry to hear you're feeling so sick stace I haven't started with nausea yet but I can only imagine how horrid it is. I suppose at this stage it doesn't matter what you eat as long as you get something down you! I would eat whatever you fancy and maybe see GP for advice - I think they can give you anti-sickness tablets. Then if it subsides you can eat healthily x

I am not sure, I am scared to take one and scare not to! Maybe you could have one now and then ask GP on Mon. They are v strong so one will keep you topped up!

Thank you halestone I've been 'sent home' from work ... my senior cook knows I'm pg and the bleeding and it was a quiet morning so she said be off with you we'll cope. Happy to be back on the sofa don't need to do anything til scan Monday morning now.

Missmrs I took half of one. I will keep doing that until I speak with GP. Just realised I've a meeting on Mon morning and GP only takes morning calls. I will have to wait until Tues, but I guess that will give me more of a chance to see what's going on. Is your spotting steady? Or just a little a few times a day? Mine is a little a few times a day, but it's really making me terrified!

mamama it's hardly anything, just when I wipe and hasn't got any worse since yesterday. I am sure we will both be fine. Honestly, the nurse at the epu wasn't alarmed or concerned at all so it must be common x
