Do give your local EPU a ring though, they'll get you in asap (if you need referral via a GP/A&E you can either go straight to A&E or I got a phone appointment with my GP who then referred me), mine were great and very quick to see me.

Ash so sorry to hear this, I agree get seen as soon as you can.

I'm having a bit of very light beige coloured discharge....has anyone else had this? it's freaking me out... :(

Thank you lauramum and bowies I've just got the number from the docs. I'll ring in the morning if it's no better or worse. I told my bestie yesterday and she's being a great help as has two herself. I'm a lot more comfortable now I'm home thank you all so much xxx

Just a thank you to takestwo for making me realise and come home I feel so much better and bleeding almost gone so relieved ... Note to self I own the business I am the boss I can come home when I want don't need an excuse .... I will repeat this until it sinks in ??. Still in (very happy!) shock...was due to start IVF this month after 2 years of trying and had made peace with giving up...unfortunately means was not as good as should have been with folic acid or or leading virtuous lifestyle but been assured by friend who is obgyn that key thing is to be good from day you get pink line. feeling super tired and chilly but otherwise grand...anyone else here taken by suprise?!

Yes Ninja bus baby twins! I suspect though that it will be pushed back when I eventually see a medical professional as I ov quite late on.

Me Sleepless! Almost 2 years of TTC, thought I was going for IVF, had a bad health scare (long story), got the all clear, stress disappeared, thought to myself "I couldn't give a stuff if I get pregnant, at least I'm healthy", then got a bfp about 2 weeks later.

I had a fair bit to drink at about 13-14 DPO (didn't test until 19 DPO - too scared of a BFN again) but I have seen the following extract from a book called Expecting Better (keep meaning to order it):

"For the period between fertilisation and your missed period, your baby is a mass of identical cells. If you do something that kills one of these cells (such as heavy drinking or some kind of really bad prescription drug use), another cell can replace it and do exactly the same thing. The resulting baby is unaffected. However, if you kill too many of these cells, the embryo will fail to develop and you will wind up not pregnant at all. Perhaps you knew that, and I just run in an exceptionally ignorant crowd. But I've never seen it on a leaflet."

Can I just say that I'm loving my Topshop maternity jeans. Pure elasticated loveliness!

My regular jeans got too tight at about 5 weeks(!) and I think that's down to all the food I'm eating ...

Checking in here 7 weeks today, still knicker checking, still prodding my books to see if they are sore (sore from prodding now at least). Dp seems to think they are getting bigger but I'm not sure! I am 10 days in to a 12 day holiday at the moment, and came within about 5 seconds of fainting/being sick in an extremely busy and significant place of religious interest. Luckily I was ushered out in time!

I had my booking in appt today and got my scan date for end of April. So excited! Although not happy to be at my heaviest ever knowing the scales are only goin to go up...

When she asked whether I wanted to be booked in for all the tests they can do I had no idea what to say. Would I really want to know if anything was wrong? Is this the start of a lifetime of worry?!

Oh ash I'm glad you are feeling more comfortable at home. You are right! Being able to leave when you need to without having to share your medical info much be a perk of being the boss (there's got to be some payback for all your hard work!!). Fingers crossed that things continue to settle down for you and if you feel you want it, you manage to get an EPU appointment.

Crumbelina, I fear I may have to move into mat wear soon too. All this spotting has made me a bit cautious to squeeze my heavily bloated self into my usual jeans. At the moment I'm surviving with stretchy leggings, but I'm missing my jeans!

Oh no. We've got a pop-up bar at work this afternoon, which I'm obviously avoiding. Now someone has come over and put a glass of Champagne on my desk whilst I was on the phone.

I did the usual raise the glass to my lips and pretend to take a sip, but I can only do it so many times. I need everyone to go home so I can pour it down the sink (such a waste!).

Ooh do it TakesTwo, it's lovely! I have quite a small frame and if someone looks closely enough they could possibly twig. I think I'll tell work at 13 weeks - it'll be interesting to see how big I am by then ...
