Ahhh blondie how sweet of your parents!

I'm seeing my mum in the morning then my husband is cooking dinner for me and my MIL (and the rest of the family not just us two!!) so should have a relatively relaxing day hopefully! Back to work on Monday after a week off, not looking forward to it but only have two weeks left to Mat leave so I'm on the official countdown now!!

leanne963 · 14/03/2015 10:20

Kitty Haha they sound so similar. Unfortunately everyone humours her and goes 'yeah you ARE so busy'....'Don't do too much, you need to relax' argh lol!!

smiley Woman Hitler is the best anagram ever hahah!!!!

shiney my mum and I have definitely got a better relationship since the pregnancy, we had a really bad 7 years where it was a very difficult relationship and we just screamed at each other all the time, so I do appreciate the relationship now!

Oooh tits one month!!!!! Sounds so close when you say it's exactly a month away! Kinda jealous!!!

Have a good weekend everyone!!!! I'm still willing summer to hurry up, it's still too cold for my liking!!!

leanne963 · 14/03/2015 10:23

Aww blondie that is so sweet of them!!!!

Saw my mum on Thursday cause DP parents booked a table for tomorrow! So seeing his mum tomorrow but it's also his dad's birthday on Monday and DPs birthday on Wednesday!

KittyVonCatsington · 14/03/2015 10:52

4 weeks tits!!?? And there was me thinking 7 weeks was close Grin

I promise to be a lovely MiL myself of course Wink

I can no longer put on my own socks. Really hurt my bump trying to lean to my feet. Thank heavens for DH!!!

In terms of sleeping I seem to just keep alternating from my back, and either side. I don't think you need to worry too much I have only read that the left side is 'optimum' - it's not though if we put too much pressure on ourselves and end up sleep deprived!

Is anyone else feeling emotional? My DH is getting a little bit stressed as he is trying to get all the house jobs done before baby arrives. But as soon as he gets at all stressy, then I burst into tears and then can't stop Sad We have our class this afternoon so I have been trying to get some chores done. After sitting down for a rest, our usually rather unsnuggly cat has just jumped up and snuggled right into the crook of my arm on my lap. She has never done this with me before (and only occasionally with DH) so it feels like she almost knew I needed some extra love! Smile

leanne963 · 14/03/2015 11:52

just Animals are great like that, they do sense when you need a little love. My dog is so clingy with me at the moment it's quite cute ha! I'm not emotional but I have a very short fuse and people piss me off a lot quicker than they would normally.

I am 30 weeks tomorrow and does anyone else feel slightly bizarre to say they are over 30 weeks pregnant. I swore I would never get past 12 weeks, the first trimester felt like a lifetime!

Chookford · 14/03/2015 12:02

leanne snap, I'm feeling the same I'm beginning to realise in a matter of weeks I am going to have another baby.. I've been kind of living in a bubble incase anything went wrong (after a mmc) but now I may actually have to start really preparing for this little person to arrive! Smile

applecore0317 · 14/03/2015 12:33

Wow Tits That's scarily close!!!!

Am so tired today, impressively DH got back about half twelve, but it woke me up and he then proceeded to ask me if I was proud of him for being considerate and getting back at a decent time, then told me all about his day at Cheltenham, he was well and truly pi$$ed lol

Struggle to get back to sleep and then slept on and off, ah well only 4 and a half hours left of work... good thing is though, that due to a shift change I am now off for the next four weekends!

leanne same here! am 30 weeks on Wednesday and can't quite believe it

Awww Just I wish my cat would do that, they are apparently supposed to be able to sense when someone is pregnant and be nicer... don't know how true it is though

kitty glad your DH helped with the socks, could do with a long stick that is designed to put socks on :D

Blondie that nursery is lovely, so sweet of your parents to do that :)

Kyz I second the recommendation for the tangle tease brush, they are amazing! wouldn't be without mine

leanne963 · 14/03/2015 12:41

Chook yea I was the same, had a MC in June and I just couldn't allow myself to get my hopes up with this pregnanct. Even when I got to 12 weeks I was like 'but she isn't viable yet I need to get to 20+ weeks before I can relax' It is crazy how soon our lives will change!!!

Blondie87 · 14/03/2015 12:43

I know, it's really kind of them :)
Re sleeping I'm trying hard to sleep on my left and surround myself with pillows but inevitably don't stay that way! We can only try our best!
I'm getting so excited for the baby now! Woke up on Thursday night with period like cramps coming in waves and burst into tears because I thought I was in labour! Think was some Braxton Hicks.
I like preparing for the baby but it also really panics me, making me worry in case something goes wrong. I know it's important to think positively though so sending everyone positive thoughts!
Tits that's close! How exciting!

leanne963 · 14/03/2015 12:51

Aww blondie bless you! It's hard isn't it!? We are so close but at the same time it's still so far and im worried something could happen!! I've been getting period like pains too, midwife said they are normal so I am trying not to worry! Just imagine in a few months we will all be posting pics of our little babies :)

Blondie87 · 14/03/2015 13:36

Thanks Leanne, reassuring to hear it's normal! Really sorry to hear what happened in June. May will be an amazing time for this group, can't wait to see all the little ones!

Scottishgal78 · 14/03/2015 14:17

Aw blondie that is so sweet! My partner's parents have done much the same. All this talk of MILs from hell makes me realised how lucky I am. My own parents passed away many years ago and I'd be lost without his mum and dad. They've even been up at our house everyday and remodelled out whole bathroom. They're nearly 70 and they laid the flooring and everything! They don't tell us in advance cos they know we wouldn't let them! So lucky!

kitty was struggling to get my pants on the other day and OH was trying to help and the short tempered pregnant part of me was like 'I can do it myself'! He was only trying to help but was early and I was tired! Grin

KittyVonCatsington · 14/03/2015 15:02

Oh the joys of pregnancy Grin

Strangely enough I've not had any more Braxton Hicks since about 28 weeks...

leanne963 · 14/03/2015 15:36

Thanks blondie I was very lucky to fall pregnant again so soon! :) so happy to be this far along now and I hate complaining about all the annoyances we have to put up with cause I feel like I should just appreciate it. But no sleep and restless legs are really grating on me lol

Blondie87 · 14/03/2015 16:10

Scottishgal that's so lovely of them. They sound like a great source of support.
Leanne you're allowed to say how you feel, it doesn't make you ungrateful just human!

shinyhappyone · 14/03/2015 16:48

Turquoise, I was really close with my mum until about 5 years ago. I'm not really sure what happened. My sister has 2 little ones and mum complains she doesn't see them enough but then doesn't make the effort to see them and often says no when my sister asks her to babysit. I live 200 miles from my family but she doesn't even really text or call. Luckily I have 3 wonderful sisters who we see all the time and very supportive family on DH's side so really have nothing to complain about.
Happy Mother's Day for tomorrow to all of you who have little ones already. So strange to think that next Mother's Day us first timers will actually be mummies. At what point are we supposed to feel grown up and wise? Didn't happen with mortgage or marriage and not kicked in with motherhood yet!! Wink

Chookford · 14/03/2015 16:52

shiny I'm still waiting for it to kick in!! I'm a married mother of soon to be two and still behave like I did when I was 18!! Wink

Sorry you're feeling low Tori, I know it is hard to be reliant on other people but hopefully this is the only time you will have to be and its all to keep you healthy, increased pain when you're growing a little person inside you just isn't worth it. Besided men get off bloody lightly so it won't hurt :)

Glad you treated yourself to some bits

scottish snap... I am the same

Also as far as I am concerned we're Mums already, just incubator mum at the moment :D

KittyVonCatsington · 14/03/2015 18:49

Incubator Mum Love it!!!!

Tori Try not to feel guilty - your partner is here be just that-let him look after you so you can look after Baby-remember you will be doing the bulk of looking after Baby v soon Grin

Blondie that room looks terrific. How kind of them!! They must have enjoyed doing it too.

Turquoise I think your MiL ringing at 6:30 is a little bit much. Though maybe she thought labour had started or something!?! At least I hope that was her excuse Hmm

I'm back in hospital yet again! A different one this time though as we were visiting my MIL so I don't even have my notes with me (start carrying your notes everywhere with you girls).
Went out for lunch with MIL and went to toilet, looked at the toilet bowl to see so much blood that I thought they must have used some weird blood coloured bleach in it! Loads of clots too, sorry tmi. No pain though.
Maternity assessment unit says everything is fine with baby but getting kept in for observation.
Phone is about to die so I'll catch up with personals later but hope you are all having a better Saturday than me!
