Happy birthday chookford! Hope it's been fun.

Everyone is much more organised than me with their nurseries and hospital bags. I really must get cracking! Did buy a few bits (maternity pads, Lansinoh etc) the other day - I had a bit of a chuckle to myself when I realised what a completely miscellaneous selection of stuff I had in my Tesco basket Smile

SmileyScooby · 12/03/2015 18:37

turquoise I'd just ignore those comments (difficult I know!) but it's not as if you are pulling a sickie, you've been signed off.

kyz sorry to hear you woke with a fright, hope it's a one off and that the appointment went ok.

tits what a fab convo, would have loved to have been nearby at the time hehe I'm surviving with normal bigger size pants (proper Bridget Jones at the mo) but they are a bit saggy on the bum. Like you I found wearing normal pants under bump uncomfortable.

Sorry some of you suffering with hot flushes, I've escaped that one so far, but you got to love how we all seem to post about similar things at similar times though :)

Had 31w appointment today, measuring 33 so at the mo still within the 2 week leniency, although part of me was hoping it would be 31/32 not 33, head down at the mo and all other tests ok :)

Will have a look at that link apple shared. Am also not feeling ready for all this yet...3 more weeks until easter holidays!! we've got a crib (still flatpacked) and mattress, car seat, pushchair and a couple of outfits people have bought us...that is it...trying to work out what is essential to have ready and what isn't...any words of wisdom?

Chookford · 12/03/2015 19:38

Thanks piglet has even a lovely day.. Smile

Chookford · 12/03/2015 19:38

Been not even!!

KittyVonCatsington · 12/03/2015 19:44

Happy birthday chookford Cake

I too have not started a hospital bag or anything close to one! Thought I would get started around Easter (am 32+4) with the list to help!

Oh those that are blissfully unawares of the trials and tribulations of pregnancy-love that shop assistant Grin

Just come back from another antenatal class. DH can now change a nappy on a doll at least Wink

Know what you mean Tori. When we went cos I was bleeding he was all worried and very attentive until we had the scan and were reassured everything was fine. Then had to wait an hour for anti d and he was falling asleep! Grin dunno how he'll be in the long drawn out process of labour!

Kyz · 12/03/2015 20:50

Evening ladies :)

Thanks for the luck re: gp - all is well, just baby in an awkward position so I should be fine, he recommended I sleep propped up on pillows, so i'll try but have a feeling I won't get much sleep that way, but we'll see!

oh dear Tits surely maternity knickers aren't that weird a thing??

I also like Asda baby clothes, you can get some really lovely things from there :)

thanks for that link apple that's a really useful list, i also need a bag to put it all in lol

happy birthday chook! glad you've had a good day :)

piglet you've got more than me already ;) I'm really not very organised at all! I've started writing a list, if that counts...

glad your appt went well Smiley

Really must get organised with this baby business! Ah well, it'll all come together in the end! I hope :|

applecore0317 · 12/03/2015 23:24

Happy Birthday chook

Think our NCT start in three weeks, DH will hate them I think :D also booked to go on the NCT first aid course.

Hope the sleep position helps kyz

I shaved my bikini line blind tonight and asked DH how I did, he said "Umm yes, good job"
me "is it wonky"
him "ummm a little"

Grin ha ha ha

Anti D tomorrow, then no needles for a good while I hope

Chookford · 13/03/2015 07:32

Thanks kyz and apple

Haha apple I keep meaning yo sort out that area but know full well I Will end up looking like I've had sex with a chainsaw! So have told dh that's his job this weekend to give me a good trim!! Ha that's real love got you Grin

applecore0317 · 13/03/2015 08:39

Ha ha Chook I may need to ask DH to help next time, although it might be pushing it giving that we haven't been allowed to DTD in 5 months

FeelingBlessed77 · 13/03/2015 09:08

Morning ladies. Me and DF are going on our bump moon today. going to Windsor. Am really looking forward to it.

leanne963 · 13/03/2015 09:45

Happy Birthday for yesterday Chook Hope you had a fab day :D

Kyz How did you sleep last night propped up?? I have feel full of cold the past two days and have not been sleeping as my fail safe method of lying on my back until my nose clears cannot be done during pregnancy lol! I feel like i am pissing off the baby as i am sneezing so hard every 5 minutes and she has actually been a lot quieter than usual!

Haha apple I havn't touched my bikini line in ages as my skin is so sensitive at the moment shaving causes such a red rash, even my armpits are sore and i only do them every 3 or 4 days ( Thank god its winter lol)

applecore0317 · 13/03/2015 10:09

Hope you have a lovely Bump Moon FeelingBlesed :)

Leanne Have you tried waxing your underarms? I've been doing that, means I only have to do it every three weeks :)

leanne963 · 13/03/2015 10:21

apple Waxing?? The thought of it terrifies me lol! Although would be nice to not have to shave!! I will definitely consider it! Little pre labour treat haha!

applecore0317 · 13/03/2015 10:44

I find my underarms really easy, usually just takes one waxing strip and a few minutes, and I find it doesn't hurt much either, so have been doing it myself for the last few months :)

piglet81 · 13/03/2015 11:14

Morning all. Friday, hooray! Is anyone else a bit of an emotional wreck at the moment? I feel all tearful for no good reason. Probably partly because I'm still a bit sore and sorry for myself after the wisdom tooth, and also completely exhausted. Anyway, enough of my whinging. DH and I are going away for the weekend - can't wait to actually spend some time together, as it's been hectic lately!

Chookford · 13/03/2015 11:28

feeling hope you have a lovely bump moon!

piglet hope you have a lovely weekend away..

Thanks leanne

Hope everyone is having a lovely day, thank god it's Friday...

Royalsteph · 13/03/2015 11:40

Happy Friday everyone. another week down thank god.
ds is on the mend slowly but surely, had a bit of a panic moment when he face planted off the sofa straight onto his bad shoulder thankfully no damage done but I've never moved so fast.
enjoy the weekend those of you who are going away. my mum is up this weekend so hopefully a chillout one for us, 4d scan on Sunday at 32 weeks (where is the time going?!?) will put pics up if baby cooperates Grin

leanne963 · 13/03/2015 11:43

Aww that sounds fun Piglet :) Not feeling emotional just full of rage if people piss me off lol! In the line of fire at the moment if MIL. Long story but she is just grating on me at the moment and i just feel like everyone just accepts her self centered ways and i am feeling like i will just explode one day soon and i am not looking forward to it! Ahhh.

applecore0317 · 13/03/2015 12:56

Yey for Friday :D oh wait am working tomorrow lol

Piglet hope you have a lovely time

DH is at Cheltenham races today, so an all dayer and probably carry on when they get back by heading to the pub, is it wrong to be a bit resentful that he can just do what he wants? Obviously I tell him to have a good time etc, but inside I want to stamp my feet and have a mini strop..

Glad Ds is on the mend Royal and hope you get some great pics from the 4d scan

leanne963 · 13/03/2015 13:49

OUCH baby is definitely feet down today and every time i can feel her move lots near my public bone i feel like she is kicking my cervix too and i get little stabbing pains! TURN BABY TURN!!!

apple I was supposed to have uni today in Cheltenham and i decided against it as i knew there was going to be no point in attempting to battle the traffic! ha!

piglet81 · 13/03/2015 14:10

Thanks ladies Smile

Those low-down kicks are the worst, leanne! Shock

Sorry you're missing out on the fun, apple - can you plan a nice Friday night for yourself instead?

applecore0317 · 13/03/2015 15:05

I'm going to a friends for dinner, just feel like he has way more fun at the moment lol

I get downward punches and head butts lol
