Hi everyone, hope your all well. turquoise I hate it when people stir! If I was you I would go to the hen do meal regardless - you are medically signed off and they can't argue with that.....like you say it won't be wild and you still have to eat!!
We had our 2nd antenatal session last night and it was with my own midwife so was much better than last week's session. We covered pain relief and watched a dvd on breastfeeding. The midwife also showed us a plastic tray with the various circles of centimetres dilation......DP thought it was a cup holder! haha! Hospital tour next week then that is finished with. lots of baby movements and still munching on the mini eggs! (32+6)

bradders85 · 11/03/2015 17:34

oh meant to ask also......is anyone else going through a stage of having hot flushes in the middle of the night? For the past week or so I wake up and end up stripping off I'm so hot!!

applecore0317 · 11/03/2015 17:58

Turqouise you didn't ask to be signed off. Popping out to M&S or for a meal is not the same as being at work ALL day! just leave them to it, they're just being arses.

Been a bit warm bradders but not too bad. Glad you are enjoying the antenatal classes :)

Aww turquoise big hug!! Try and not let them get to you, just think about your baby and realise that they mean noting to you!!

Yes bradders boyfriend is in a long sleeved top and I am just wearing pants lol! Definitely feeling hot! Thank god we are not heavily pregnant through June, July and August!!!

Kyz · 11/03/2015 20:39

Evening everyone :) hope you're all ok :)

I had an awful night last night, I woke up with a start at about 3am, felt like someone had been smothering me, I couldn't breathe and felt all panicky. Luckily it went away eventually but the past couple of days I have felt a bit short of breath and it's only getting worse. I did mention it to the MW today who said it's quite common but because of the protein s deficiency they want me to see the GP so I have an appointment for tomorrow morning.

turquoise i'd be narked too, if you bled all over the chair at work, what on earth else do they need as 'proof'? I would go too, you've been signed off, you're hardly dancing about outside of your workplace laughing at them!

that sounds like a good session bradders! yes to the hot flushes, and breathlessness is worse at night (see above). I am not a fan of night times atm, I'm always hot, always feel like i'm dying of thirst, always in agony with my legs and hips and now can't breathe very well either. It's not much fun here at night time!

My appt went well today, baby is head down and i'm measuring spot on. 29 weeks tomorrow. My word!

You know, i'm still not in the slightest bit ready :s

Realising how not ready I am has spurred me on to write a list, though. Not that I know what to put on it!

bradders85 · 11/03/2015 20:50

leanne yes I am grateful I will not be pregnant over the hot summer months!! It's no fun!
KyzI totally agree the nigthts are no fun for me either at the moment, like you hot flushes, waking every couple of hours and my legs are really painful, struggle to get comfortable!
Pleased your midwife appointment went well too and good luck with the G.P tomorrow :)

Scottishgal78 · 11/03/2015 21:06

God thought I was weird till I came on here today! Woke up last night dying of thirst, took a drink from the glass from by my bed and seemed to not be able to breathe while drinking! Got such a fright! Now I know it's not just me!Grin

piglet81 · 11/03/2015 21:15

Isn't it funny how lots of us on this thread have the same strange symptoms at once? It's very reassuring reading everyone else's experiences :-)

FeelingBlessed77 · 11/03/2015 22:23

I am exactly the same. hot flushes, not just at night though, and really thirsty.

shinyhappyone · 12/03/2015 05:20

Am wide awake after hot flushes and crazy breathing so come on here to see what you're all up to and what do I find...? Posts that some of you are suffering the same!! This group really is a god send sometimes!
Turquoise, I'll bet your boss just made an innocent comment about seeing you and the office stirrer has tried to make something out of nothing because they have nothing better to do with their time. Don't worry about silly office people when you have enough on your plate! Out bodies are very good at telling us when to slow down. That's what you've done and quite bloody right too! Look after you and your precious cargo! xx

applecore0317 · 12/03/2015 07:20

ooh I hope I don't join you all on these hot flushes and breathlessness

just feeling a bit light headed this morning and queasy, have had breakfast so its not a hunger thing. Also sat here getting kicked whilst she hiccups at the same time lol

Hope the GP can help you this morning kyz

I am also having a moment where I cannot actually believe how quickly this is going for us... from next week we will all be in the 30's week wise I think Shock

cuphat · 12/03/2015 07:49

Sorry to hear that some of you have been suffering with hot flushes at night.

I haven't had any yet, but I had the most horrendous hot flushes day and night for a couple of months after having DD. I was really worried it was going to be a permanent but it must have been a temporary hormonal thing. I couldn't walk for 5 minutes without getting really hot and sweaty, which isn't like me (I normally have to exercise intensely before I sweat).

Titsalinabumsquash · 12/03/2015 09:10

I'm really breathless, people have started mentioning it Blush I don't think my stupidly low blood pressure or extreme girth helps.

I'm still waiting for the 'omg I'm going to actually have to deliver this baby and look after it!' Meltdown that I had with the other 3, it usually occurs in the middle of the night but I've not had it so far, maybe this time my brain is just doing an almighty and knows I can't not do it all iyswim?

Justyouwaitandsee · 12/03/2015 09:13

Hi ladies, sorry to hear so many of you are having a tough time.

I have been feeling warm for quite a while and do have some hot flushes but mainly during the day at work. Had to acquire a desk fan! But mostly I feel pleased as my colleagues complain about the cold.

I worked a 2hr event on Tues and think I was running on adrenaline as I was running about the whole time. But could barely hobble by the time I got home. A good reminder that I need to take things easier.

Am very excited as my bulk order of ASDA baby clothes arrived yesterday. Everything on our essential clothing list for £24 (8 sleep suits, 8 short sleeved vests, 2x scratch mits, a hat and little pair of booties) all very cute and lovely soft fabric, much softer than all the clothing I felt in the main high street stores.

Now have everything we need for baby just need to sort out the stuff for me!

Titsalinabumsquash · 12/03/2015 09:16

I also had the most ridiculous conversation in m&s yesterday, I had an hour to kill before meeting my sisters for lunch do I had a look around the reliving shops for some maternity knickers after my success with h&m to see if anywhere had any cheap deals, mothercare, h&m, next all looked at I wandered into m&s and asked an assistant if they sold any multi packs of maternity briefs,

Her - I'm not sure what you mean? Can't you wear your regular underwear?

Me - Well no, I haven't gained any size in my bottom but obviously my bump is quite big and I find regular knickers uncomfortable when they sit under my bump.

Her - oh well, just go up a size I guess or maybe try a corset?!

Me - uh no it's fine, I'll go back to kind of the other shops thanks anyway.

Her - Oh! Have you thought about a thong in a bigger size than you'd normally wear?

Me - I'm 8 months pregnant, I'm not really looking for thongs right now..

With that I left. Bizarre woman she couldn't comprehend the idea of maternity pants at all. Confused

Turquoisetamborine · 12/03/2015 09:24

Tits!! Do you think it was her last day at the job or something?? That's really made me laugh.

I'm over my upset now about work busybodies. I'm going to the meal on Friday and as long as I'm getting plenty of rest and attending my many hospital appointments I don't see why I shouldn't do the odd bit of food shopping or getting out and about.

I also had a hot flush in the night. How bizarre!

Just your haul sounds lovely, what do you need to get for you?
Anyone have a hospital bag list for a section?

gingerfluffball · 12/03/2015 09:53

Tits that is hilarious, what a numpty! And a CORSET?! Blush

applecore0317 · 12/03/2015 10:22

Tits that is one idiot sales assistant! made me chuckle though :)

Turquoise Glad you are going out and not letting them get to you

Just Have to agree, the asda stuff is lovely quality, I also got some baby grows from Sainsburys as they were the only ones I could find with the built in scratch mits, also really nice :) Asda had a fair bit in the sale too when I went in the other day, got a pack of seven vests for £4

Sunshinesaz86 · 12/03/2015 13:32

hahaa tits that is so funny, i agree with ginger what a numpty. i think my DP would be mortified if he caught me walking about in a thong with my bum and bump hanging out!!

turquoise i hope you enjoy friday too take no notice of ppl and just look after no1!

apple and just i to have had some lovely things from asdas need to try and sort out what i have got and what my mum and mil have got me too to get straight in my head what else we need. I also need to start thinking about my hospital bag, i know some ladies found a very useful link with a list, does anyone remember what site it was?

oficially 6 and a half work days left for me!! wahooo to be honest i dont think i could of physically gone on longer, strange how i will be leaving at 32 weeks and my twin sister also had to stop work with SPD at exactly 32 weeks with her two pregnancies! weird! high five to you ladies working right up to the end.

applecore0317 · 12/03/2015 15:02

Sorry to hear some of you are suffering with hot flushes, and breathlessness I'm really thirsty at night now but that seems to be all..

Have spent a lovely day at bluewater today buying myself bits (it's my bday) and my mum bought me lots of bits in Mothercare so I'm officially set for my hospital bag now! Hurrah
