applecore0317 · 09/03/2015 17:37

sunshine I finish on 1st May

Whooping cough jab all done, didn't really feel it but I compare to the steroid injections now

Turquoisetamborine · 09/03/2015 17:59

Hi all, bleeding still off and on but as it's mostly brown, midwife says it's old blood and as long as I'm getting plenty movement (which i am) they think it's down to the cervical erosion.

Had to go to the big hospital in Newcastle so took the chance to go to the massive Primark. Got three nursing bras for a total of £12 in my usual size. Can always get more of those ugly things when the baby comes. My heart sank when I saw them, so unflattering. Also got some plain white muslins, white socks and white bibs. All 100% cotton so why buy more expensive. I like to see my babies all in white when they are just teeny.
Having an easy day tomorrow. Can't believe I've got weeks ahead of doing nothing.

Turquoisetamborine · 09/03/2015 18:01

Tori you should have no problem getting signed off. You need to rest now, no point being in pain.

Whoop to all those finishing work soon. It's awesome! Sorry you have a while to go apple don't push yourself too hard mind!

applecore0317 · 09/03/2015 18:05

I won't Turquoise I promise :) I can always get signed off for the last two weeks if I am struggling

Scottishgal78 · 09/03/2015 18:26

Glad everything's ok turquoise. Finally weighed myself this morning and wasn't as bad as I thought - but have just devoured a large Big Mac meal!

Sunshinesaz86 · 09/03/2015 18:49

Ahh u still have a little while to go then apple I have massive respect to all the ladies working up until may! I don't think I could do it.

Glad all is ok turquoise I got a few bras from primark however two are already two small and one gives me the itchiest boobs ever!! But don't mind for the price. U make sure u take it easy x

Hope u enjoyed your Big Mac scottish I've just had pizza! Mmm!

KittyVonCatsington · 09/03/2015 19:13

Thank goodness everything is okay Turquoise - still frightening for you I'm sure!

Bring on the Easter Holidays I'm not counting down or anything!

Thinking of you Tori

Another Parents Evening down - one more to go this term Grin

Justyouwaitandsee · 09/03/2015 20:33

I'm another one counting down to an Easter finish Smile

Comfy sleep bras are one of my best purchases too (wearing them 24/7 now!). I have Emma Jane bras from Amazon.

Kyz · 09/03/2015 20:36

Evening everyone, hope you all had a good weekend :) Just catching up with the thread :)

apple no probably not! I keep napping when DS has a nap, and on the days I don't get chance to, I really feel it. I did think for a bit that the nap was causing me to be awake in the night, but I didn't get any better sleep at night without the nap, so sod it, i'll sleep as often as I can! If my last pregnancy is anything to go by sleeping will only get worse. Or rather, not sleeping ...

congrats on passing your theory mumof3 that's fab :)

blondie I had never even heard of the GTT before these AN threads. I have an appt with the mw this Weds, but I don't recall it being mentioned when I had DS, either

ouch steph hope your son is better soon!

d0tty bra extenders are the shizzle, they are fantastical and very amazing :)

Bless you tori fingers crossed they will sign you off

glad everything is ok turqoise :) Still scary but glad all is ok!

LinaDee · 09/03/2015 21:49

Hi everyone

Hope you're all well.
I'm looking for some opinions in a name my DH has suggested if we have a girl ( I figured you guys would be friendlier than the baby names board!)
He has suggested Caragh - I love the sound of it and I like the idea of having an Irish/alternative spelling but u feel like my head is mush just now. The other name for a girl that's in the mix is Emily but I'm just not "feeling" it if that makes sense!
So confused!!

Scottishgal78 · 09/03/2015 21:55

Hi Lina is this the Irish spelling of Kara? If so I like it!

LinaDee · 09/03/2015 22:00

So my husband tells me Scottish! Haha!

Scottishgal78 · 09/03/2015 22:08

I like it. I love Celtic names. We'll probably go with something Scottish/Irish ourselves. Always liked Kara as a name. Would've been on my list but I'm having a boy.

Ps. Had a look on the names forum - see what you mean!

applecore0317 · 09/03/2015 23:06

Nice name, particularly like the unusual spelling :)

gingerfluffball · 10/03/2015 01:34

Ameilius my soft nursing bra tops are here, they're very comfy and I usually whip off my more structured 'outdoor' bra as soon as I get home and put these on! It's an Aussie company but they do ship to the UK and have a sale on atm.

Sunshinesaz86 · 10/03/2015 07:37

I bought two very soft stretchy mat nighttime bras from new look ideal for just lounging around. Forget there on but at least my boobs don't feel like udders walking round bra-less! Blush

gingerfluffball · 10/03/2015 08:32

Yes sunshine - I particularly hate the feeling of my boobs resting on the top of my bump, need to have something comfy in between bump and boob and also to hoik them up a bit!

mumxof3x · 10/03/2015 08:52

Morning ladies,

Hope your ds is ok royal, sounds nasty.

Tori, I think it would definately do you best to be signed off work, hope your ok

mumxof3x · 10/03/2015 08:56

Phone posted argh.

Turquiose, hope the bleeding settles.

Oooo OBEM starts tonight :) yay.

I have my review next week for the tachycardia and I have not even been contacted yet by cardiology for the 24hour ecg grrr. I seem to have loads of appointments alately between me and ds2.

Hope everyone is ok x

Royalsteph · 10/03/2015 09:12

thank you all!! ds is okay, he has to keep his arm in a sling and can't move it much, it's trying to keep a 4 year old entertained without much movement that's the hard bit. but I have this week off with him so it's not too bad, although I'm sick of peppa pig already!
I hope you're all feeling better and taking it easy. I need to invest in some comfy bras this weekend, but will need to get measured for the twentieth time. 25 days left in work (not that I'm counting) Smile

leanne963 · 10/03/2015 09:27

Happy Birthday Tits Sorry, i saw on Facebook!!!!

I don't feel like my boobs have got much bigger! I hope i don;t jinx myself by saying that!!!

applecore0317 · 10/03/2015 09:38

Happy Birthday Tits :)

Mum how are you feeling now?

yey for OBEM, will have to put a reminder on for that

lol Leanne, mine went from peanuts to a 36DD... DH is pleased ha ha

I know some people that haven't changed much, but still good to get measured to make sure you have the right support even for a small charge

leanne963 · 10/03/2015 09:43

Haha wow apple thats a big change ha! I have deceptive boobs, they don't look huge but i still have to wear a 34dd normally, i will probably go get measured next week!
