A trace of protein is nothing to worry about. I had +1in my sample last week and the dr just said that my bp was fine and +1 was barely anything really.

Glad trace was ok tori.

Have been at a wedding this weekend. Was fun but would have been better with a glass of wine and some cake!

Chookford · 08/03/2015 17:34

tori glad everything is ok, hope you don't have any infections or anything!

apple don't worry it's not just use, think most of us have had to do things we are not proud of to have a more comfortable experience on the toilet!!

SmileyScooby · 08/03/2015 20:03

steph and tori glad everything ok with you both x
apple sorry you haven't had a good day, hope you didn't have any more mishaps x
Had all day antenatal class today, lots of information in one go but it's done now I guess rather than lots of evenings but at the same time would have been better split over maybe 2 half days.
Hope everyone has had a nice weekend on the whole, can't believe have only got 4 more school weeks until start the unofficial maternity leave (easter hols)....where oh where has the time gone?!

applecore0317 · 08/03/2015 20:44

You ladies are awesome Grin

Wow Scooby that does sound like it would be a lot to take in in one go, I take it they send you home with lots of information to go over, so that you don't forget it.

I went to a baby exhibition today and there was a NCT stand, they were telling me about all the Mums and babies groups local to where I live, not just nct ones and the woman on the stand is also due in May :) was handy as I haven't got a clue about what is available in my area

Royalsteph · 08/03/2015 21:57

my ds has a broken bone after wrestling with his brother. what a bloody weekend!! it's been one drama after another Sad

Royalsteph · 08/03/2015 21:57

*collar

Turquoisetamborine · 08/03/2015 22:05

Glad you are ok tori and baby of course.
Royal hope your son is better soon, ouch! Glad it's not just my son who loves to wrestle. He's so gentle with me but give him any male who is up for a fight and he will have them pinned down in minutes. Drives me crackers!
I've bled most of today. I don't know what I'm supposed to do now. It's more pinky and sometimes brown, not the gush of red I had when I ended up in hospital. Think I'll ring triage tomorrow.

d0ttyne11 · 09/03/2015 07:37

Morning everyone,

Hope you are all taking care of yourselves and keeping OK - particularly Tori & Turquoise

I was just thinking over the weekend - Have any of you bought anything during your pregnancies that have made a huge huge difference to you ladies?

This was after the absolute bliss of spending 4 quid in JoJoMama on a pack of bra extenders! They have been absolutely transformational and no longer am I suffering with digging in elastic! I can't recommend them strongly enough Grin Definitely the best £4 I've spent this year...

gingerfluffball · 09/03/2015 07:56

Oooh d0ttyne I think I need to get myself some extenders too.

Best thing I've bought has been some stretchy cotton cropped nursing bra things. Sooo comfy for sleeping in and generally lounging about the house.

On the topic of boobs, when are you all planning to get fitted for bras for when milk comes in? I'm obviously a total novice but is it best to plan ahead before birth or do we drag our sleep-deprived selves to the fitting people postpartum??

applecore0317 · 09/03/2015 08:16

Ginger when I went to be measured a few weeks ago they said to go in a few weeks before due date to be fitted for a nursing bra

Thanks Dotty may have to get some of those

best thing for me has been my Boppy pregnancy wedge pillow, small enough to take where I need it and supports the bump well :) down to £15 in argos at the moment

Thanks Tori and apple, will be putting 37week bras in my diary then Smile

Titsalinabumsquash · 09/03/2015 10:05

My best things are some proper maternity knickers from H&M, I was just going to buy some huge regular knicks from Adsa but I saw these and they have an extra stretchy side panel for the bump, they're so comfortable!

That and the many, many bottles of Tesco own Heartburn medication (Gaviscon soon adds up!) I forgot how much I hate heartburn, I carry a bottle of it to swig from during the day and keep a bottle on my bedside table at night.

Titsalinabumsquash · 09/03/2015 10:07

Also, has anyone found themselves going full circle and are back to having pregnancy sickness? I was halfway through a lovely sausage sandwich yesterday (I've been starving hungry!) and I randomly had to leg it to the bathroom to be sick, naturally I came back and finished it off and was fine after that but it's reminiscent of the early weeks.

I had a bit of queasiness last week but other than that have been fine. I didn't get morning sickness in the beginning anyway

Chookford · 09/03/2015 12:35

steph hope your DS is ok... Broken bones are such a pain!

turquiose hope you are ok, I agree with everyone else def call triage...

Hope everyone is ok. I'm off work this week I'm so excited!! Haha

Ameilius · 09/03/2015 15:32

Another one here starting maternity leave at the start of the Easter hols, only 14 work days left!! Grin Great timing by us teachers!

Glad to hear that most people are doing ok, and that baby-prep is going well. Ginger can I ask where you got your nursing bra tops? I'm finding 'real' bras so uncomfy..

I never really stopped having sickness and nausea, but it's been getting much worse recently. Tits I've found that I have to eat before I realise I'm hungry as if wait until I actually feel hungry the nausea/sickness is so much worse. I'm just eating little things every 3hrs or so.. Not that that's helping the weight-gain..
