Thats great Leanne. Did they find out what caused it?

tori that's a lovely name. All the Olivers I know are awesome :) I like James too, had that as a middle name option if we had a boy

We like Emelia (Millie for short) and Holly

applecore0317 · 04/03/2015 11:41

Glad you are feeling better on the new diet longest really makes it worth it when they work

Chookford · 04/03/2015 12:26

We have Freddie or Stanley for a boy, James is our middle name option too, as its my dh's middle name..

Girls we are struggling a little more to agree!

shinyhappyone · 04/03/2015 12:49

Ahhhh longest, that's most likely what we're calling our son: Oliver James. Love it! I like Finley as another option but DH is not so keen xx

shinyhappyone · 04/03/2015 12:51

Oops didn't read thread properly - that'll teach me! It's tori who mentioned Oliver James isn't it?! Overexcited pregnancy brain sorry! xx

I like it Tori. I think we'll be going for James, with a family name from each side of the family for middle names. Unless we discover another name that we haven't thought of. We both really like Thomas but I'm not keen on Tom which rules that out.

Turquoisetamborine · 04/03/2015 13:33

Longest glad the new diet is working out. Do you have gestational diabetes? Sorry correct me if I'm wrong. I'm sure someone has it.
Tori I love the name. I would have had that first name but my 20yr old cat has the same name. If he wasn't still around we would use it but he is so it would be odd!
Shiney I like Finley too, lovely. Hope you can come up with something both of you like.
Leanne glad you got home. I don't know how people stay in hospital long term. It's awful.

I've been to see my consultant this morning and they found blood in my urine which could be to do with my kidney (was born with only one) so need further tests. Have also had more bleeding so had a growth scan and everything looks good, placenta blood flow fine, placenta in good position, baby's weighing in at 3lb 4 at 30 weeks which is good. I just have to rest so have been signed off for the remainder of my time until maternity so no more work for 13 months!!
I went into work to tell my boss and say bye to everyone so it was nice to tie things up before I went off.

longestlurkerever · 04/03/2015 13:39

turquoise yes that's right. Sorry about the blood. Hope you're OK.

bradders85 · 04/03/2015 13:58

turquoise hope you are ok - pleased everything looked good on the growth scan and enjoy a rest - no more work!!

Leanne pleased you are at home now too :)

I had the midwife this morning and baby was again measuring big - above 90th percentile - like my last appointment so they sent me to the hospital for a growth scan. Was great to see baby again.....even if baby was trying to eat its own hand!!! No wonder! Anyway sonographer said I am measuring about 2 weeks ahead and baby won't be tiny. Also got to see that baby has quite a bit of hair already!!

They sent me to the antenatal day clinic and when the scan measurements were plotted on personalised growth chart it brought the baby size down - still above average but below 90th percentile so that's good! :) Currently at 4lb 4oz at 32 weeks so going to be a chunk! My bump really has grown in the last 3 weeks!!

BeanCalledPickle · 04/03/2015 14:27

Well this baby has been Luna for the last four months but suddenly DH has decided he would feel weird shouting it in the park. Ffs. It fit with the fact we name them after music we love and met my main criteria of being way outside the top 100- I am a Sarah and absolutely hate the fact I am one of three in any office or group etc.

So now we are on Juno. Which is thankfully rare but chosen for the extremely unexciting reason of I like it.

Chookford · 04/03/2015 14:42

turquoise sorry to hear about the bleeding but glad baby is ok, enjoy your rest now hopefully you will start to feel much better not having to work...

bradders remember they can be way out with weights with my dd they told me to expect at least a 9lber if not more she was born at 41+1 weighing 7lb14 so although baby may be measuring above the average it doesn't nescessarily mean they will be a whopper!

Sunshinesaz86 · 04/03/2015 15:38

Hi ladies, sorry to hear some of u have been suffering leanne glad your all ok? Sorry to hear about your pre eclampsia plinks.
turquoise glad your ok but do take it easy and enjoy your time off before baby arrives!

Great news on scan kyz and chook very jealous of everyone getting to see babies again!

Hope midwife went ok today kitty

Hope your feeling better soon piglet

Enjoy your new car shiny

Sorry if I've missed anyone! I've finally had my finish date for work 20th march!! Just over two weeks!

As for names out boy would be Finley Lucas and girls name is Jessica Leigh Grin

applecore0317 · 04/03/2015 15:41

Turqouise glad you have been signed off, make sure you rest

I had a slightly weird but good appointment today. Mainly dealt with the sonographer rather than the consultant. TransV scan showed my cervix had improved by a further 0.2cm :) I queried why the midwife measured less than the consultant, got ready to leave then had to go back into the room to have a bump measurement. Then got ready to leave again and called back in for a Growth scan, everything measuring bang on 28 weeks. Didn't see much as baby is head down facing my back, which is great really. Saw her give me a boot, it was cool seeing and feeling it at the same time.

Then they did my bloods, so random as didn't really see the consultant

leanne963 · 04/03/2015 17:37

Thank you everyone :) They didn't give me a definite answer but did say that all is well in my cervix so the blood is probably caused by irritation and as it was pooling up when I was led down for a cpuple hours it makes sense that I seem to get it first thing in the morning then nothing for the rest of the day! Had he biggest nap from 12 - 4! Ha!

Yay names!!!! All the names you guys mentioned Oliver, Freddie, James, Finley are all gorgeous names!! Juno is very cool, love that!!! We are going for Imogen as I am giving her my grandma's name as her middle name so it will be Imogen Agnes. I know it's quite old fashioned but I absolutely love it!

apple great that your cervix is still improving!!!

longest Glad the new diet is making you feel better!! I really do notice I feel so much healthier when I don't eat gluten, my mum is intolerant to gluten and although I've never been tested I get terrible cramps after eating bread!

piglet boo to wisdom tooth pain-just what you don't need! Sad

I love Oliver James tori - a lovely solid name that rolls off the tongue-good choice!!

How lovely to have a 4d view Chook so precious to see!! Ooh Freddie and Stanley are too lovely to choose between-i'm finding it difficult to choose too -so many lovely names!

Glad you are home leanne! Imogen Agnes sounds perfect

Such a nice Welsh name Bethan longest - not seen very often and am sure will suit her. Very clever to think of Katerina from Catherine-a nice touch!!

apple I love Emelia-has a lovely ring to it!

How rubbish to be bleeding Turquoise so make the most of extended maternity leave and out your feet up! Brew

Sunshine Excellent choice of names there! Very lucky bubba to be called either of them!

Midwife appointment went well. Was a male midwife for the first time. Everything seems to be progressing well constipation could still bugger off and Kitlet's head is very far down and pressing on pubic bone so is obviously the bum I keep seeing poking out next to my belly button!

Blondie87 · 04/03/2015 18:11

Wow a day away from the thread and lots to catch up on.
Plinky I'm sorry to hear about your preeclampsia. A friend of mine had it with her first DC who was born early and is now a fantastic 3yo. A very intelligent and outgoing little thing!
Leanne glad to hear you're ok and back home. Must have been a big shock.
Turquoise glad things with baby are looking good. Hope you are relaxing and taking care of yourself.
Think we have finally decided on a name. Found boys names hard as I want something classic yet not overly popular. I am convinced bump now recognises his name as he seems to kick when I call him it but DH thinks it's just coincidence. He's probably right but I like to think bump approves of our choice! I don't think I'm that big for the weeks I am but I've lots of comments basically saying I'm huge! Maybe I'm deluded! One person asked if it's twins, other was surprised I still had 10 weeks to go and someone else said I'll be big at full term. People feel they have a license to say anything about your body when you're pregnant. I don't find it offensive, just think it's funny!

leanne963 · 04/03/2015 19:04

tori yeah I like Imogen it's not too common, I initially wanted Evelyn but 3 people I know named their daughters Evelyn or some variation like Evey, so I changed my mind!

kitty Thank you :) Oh head down that's good! The midwife had a feel yeaterday and said she was head down too, I could have sworn she is sideways ha!

Thanks blondie I think I am just going to have to accept I have the most sensitive cervix ever. Bleeds when Luther Vandross is playing ;)

bradders85 · 04/03/2015 19:10

thanks chook I'll bear that in mind (whilst still mentally preparing myself for 'Beast Baby Barnes' as we are now calling him/her. Also Freddie is on our name list too - DP suggested it :)

kittiker · 04/03/2015 19:25

All the names here are lovely. We're still making up our minds!

Had our first hypnobirthing class tonight - really enjoyed it. Anyone else doing hypnobirthing?

SmileyScooby · 04/03/2015 19:45

Leanne Glad to hear you have been let out!

Turquoise put your feet up :)

Piglet you poor thing, wisdom tooth pain is the horrible, I've still got 2 left...

Bradders I haven't got a personalised chart in my notes for weight just fundal height or is that the chart you mean? I'm dreading what mine will be measuring at next week at drs appointment (31+1), have another scan end of March. At 28 weeks he was estimated 3lbs...will be 33 weeks at next scan (how much could he have grown in 5 weeks?! Eek)

apple glad all ended up ok in the end today, what a pain about original appointment!

shiny have a lovely time in Cornwall and enjoying your new car

Kitty glad appointment went well and she is head down

Am loving all the names, Oliver is on my like list too! As is Joshua, Jacob, William, Samuel, Dominic and Elliot (and several more!!) need to compare lists with DH at some point hehe.

Have had weird stabby like pain down below couple of times today, noticed someone posted on the pregnancy board and has termed it fanny daggers which does sum it up!! Anyone else had that? Back been aching today a bit but not too bad.

Smiley I've had them before but not for a little while, think its when there has been pressure out on certain nerves and just makes it pinch down there. Ha ha, my friend also refers to it as fanny daggers.

Haven't done hypnobirthing kittiker a lot of people have recommended it to me, but have already paid for NCT and didn't want to pay for something else on top

leanne963 · 04/03/2015 20:17

Yes smiley fanny daggers are not fun! Feels like a really sharp pain for like a split second in my.....well...fanny lol! Midwife said it's baby pressing down on cervix?! Also love Joshua that was my boy choice if we found out we were having a boy!!
