spam that made me lol! alien I think I may be being optimistic, having never been pregnant before I don't know how I will look/feel!

alien I should think they will book it by your LMP, maybe just don't mention the scan until you're there?

I had my booking in on Saturday and I've already gained 3kg/6lbs! And I'm only 9+4... I used to have a completely flat stomach, I already have a little pot belly that I can't suck in! Hope it will even out once I get to second tri and hopefully feel less nauseous/craving carbsHmm

Snowflake15 · 23/02/2015 21:05

Also alien my boobs seem to fluctuate too! I wouldn't worry too much (I know easier said than done)

Lovely to see everyones scan pics Smile

I chased up my scan today and it's booked for 23rd March. It felt so long away so I near enough instantly booked a private scan for next Friday Blush I just can't wait a whole month to see/hear our little Peanut!

Also really wanted a pic to give to my Mum on Mother's Day when we tell her!

monkeymoonpig · 24/02/2015 06:46

Scan day finally here! Spent most of last night with tummy ache/cramps and on the loo (sorry for tmi) Sad so feeling sorry fpr myself. Just have to get thru DS getting to preschool after week off (will break my heart if he gets upset, which im expecting) then off to the Royal Shrewsbury for midday. Hope to get a good photo, 12wk scan of DS looked like an alien blob LMAO! Grin

DoctorDonnaNoble · 24/02/2015 06:47

Good luck monkey! 2 weeks today until my scan! Time's going REALLY slowly at the moment.

SpamAnderson · 24/02/2015 07:07

Good luck monkey can't wait to see your pic! 10 days til my scan, eeek!

Grrr I'm fed up with this sleeping lark. Yesterday I got woken at just gone 1, took 4 hours to get back to sleep. This morning my body decided 10-3am was plenty of sleep for me :( wanted to get up at 5.30 with DH but just couldn't bring myself to do it, I'm so tired :(

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 24/02/2015 07:12

DoctorDonna...think we need done serious distraction techniques to get through the next fortnight...

DoctorDonnaNoble · 24/02/2015 07:14

Damn straight! I also have two parents' evenings to get through and I just get so exhausted Hmm
I cast the first class of three in their year 7 play yesterday, so I'm expecting some complaints today (2 of the boys were really upset!).

THEworrywart · 24/02/2015 07:16

Just found this after my post about being worried on pregnancy!

Got my scan on Thursday convinced I've had a mmc due to no symptoms at all stomach pains and general being a worrier!

Good luck to everyone who has a scan this week though.

ditzzy · 24/02/2015 07:19

Welcome worrywart glad you found us! I have to drop offline for the rest of the day, but there's always people around on here and chatting. Take a look through the rest of the thread too, and you'll spot the others who are currently worrying.

THEworrywart · 24/02/2015 07:21

Thank you ditzzy!

SpamAnderson · 24/02/2015 07:36

Has anyone has gestational diabetes before? I'm really concerned I'm developing it but you don't hear anything about it until later in pregnancy. I've lost 13lbs now since 1st January even though I'm back to eating pretty much normally, the tiredness seems worse than ever, I'm drinking like a horse and weeing a ridiculous amount. Literally bursting for a massive wee, then 10 mins I'm bursting again :/ I know you wee more frequently in pregnancy but not to this excess :/ had the GTT test when I was pregnant with dd1, it was negative and refused with dd2.

THEworrywart · 24/02/2015 07:47

Spam - your symptoms are quite normal for pregnancy even if they seem excessive. You could pop into your local pharmacy and ask for a quick bgl test the will be able to tell you if you're showing up diabetic or borderline.

Fluffin · 24/02/2015 08:17

Hi ladies, thought I'd join in. I'm 31 and 9+5 with my first, have my scan in 2 weeks and am dying to tell people, but holding out as best I can - figured it's ok if I tell strangers though!

Hope everyone has a wonderful, non-queasy day Smile

TheMidnightHour · 24/02/2015 08:25

Morning all! 13+1 today, and have been telling lots of people :) told DP's sibs and parents (who were fine about it - neutral/vaguely supportive. Phew!). Best we could hope for, really! I thought it was more like telling colleagues than family, but they are not a demonstrative bunch - my lot jumped up and down, squeaked and nearly cried so 2 extremes there!

Scan on Friday, and I'm starting to fret in case something has gone wrong and will have to un-tell everyone. Realise odds are low as had private scan at 8+4 but only get one roll of the dice here!

Hypnobirthing - I haven't tried it obvs (first timer) but a couple I'm close with did. She said it was useless - he said it was brilliant. Their program came with CDs, and the dad/birth partner was supposed to listen to them too. He says its the only think that's ever helped him sleep on a flight - out in 10mins, slept for 6h!

THEworrywart · 24/02/2015 08:29

Sorry i was meant to put this on my first post, I've had heavy boobs near enough every day for the past 8-9 weeks now I'm 12+2/3 and I have woke up with NO boobs (I'm basically an aa normally) please tell me this isn't a sign I'm going to get bad news on Thursday :(

Mummyboo30 · 24/02/2015 08:31

Good luck today Monkey, looking forward to seeing your pic. Mine's at 2.30, eek! Smile

GoooRooo · 24/02/2015 08:37

Good luck Monkey and Mummyboo and hello worrywart Smile

Because my baby is not due until 29th September I feel like I'm always playing catch up with you guys. No 12 week scan date yet, I'm only 9 + 1.

Jessica32 · 24/02/2015 08:39

Morning all. Having a bit of a stressful time. I had some bleeding yesterday afternoon so the hospital should be ringing today to offer me an early scan.

Trying to remain positive and sensible as no pain and it's now stopped. Doing ok but when it started happening all my logic didn't help at all. My best friend had several lots of bleeding and worse than I've had and was fine. Didn't help in the first half an hr though.

Fingers crossed I can post a nice pic later today or tomorrow.

THEworrywart · 24/02/2015 08:46

Good luck Jessica I'll have my fingers crossed for you! Lots of people experience bleeding and have healthy pregnancies so try and stay positive Flowers

Fluffin · 24/02/2015 08:46

GoooRooo, me too! Due on 24th (unless they tell me otherwise at the scan) - was tempted to join the October group so I didnt feel so far behind!

GoooRooo · 24/02/2015 08:50

Good luck Jessica - everything crossed.

Fluffin we'll have to stick together Smile

Treaclepie19 · 24/02/2015 08:51

Fluffin and Gooroo, I'm due on the 20th so not too far ahead!

OP posts:
Snowflake15 · 24/02/2015 08:57

fluffin and gooorooo I am due 24th sept and I'm sure there's a few others around that time as well! It's annoying being behind but in a way nice as we can get advice from others going through it a few weeks ahead - booking in appointments for exampleSmile
