Pipbin when's your scan?

I need advice on telling work. Actually I need a kick up the arse. I am 15+2, my work trousers don't do up anymore, nobody is going to be cross/upset/left with more work to do, but somehow I just want to pretend it's not happening as far as work are concerned! Anyone else?!

Natanotherone · 11/01/2015 22:23

Just pm me your email address and I will send invite to the group. It's secret so no one will see you have joined or be able to see posts other than us.
Will add people in the morning :)

x

Sophie,

With you on not telling work, after DS I was back a month before getting pregnant with DD and this time I have been back a week (since Monday) and already through the first trimester... My boss is going to have a heart attack I think! Dreading it although not much they can do about it really!

LaLa5 · 11/01/2015 22:38

Toast we are due date buddies and I'm also West Sussex!

misseskimo · 11/01/2015 22:58

Just been out for a meal for my DH's 30th with a group of friends, and feeling rather uncomfortable! Heavy chinese food probably wasn't the best idea, but hey!

got due date buddies also! There's a few of us for 7th now!

bad have tried to add you to the group twice, it says your already invited and can't invite again? If it doesn't work let me know and I'll add you as a friend and invite you that way (you can delete me again after if you like).

Anyone else want to be added to the fb group please PM me or nat with your email address and we'll add you :)

Pipbin · 11/01/2015 23:02

Sophie scan is a week tomorrow. Which is forever away.

missmorse · 11/01/2015 23:47

sending sympathies to all those with back ache! I've had sciatica on and off since I was a child, so I am trying hard to do lots of preventative work to avoid getting it too bad while pregnant.

Pilates or yoga can help strengthen your back, and also ease pain you might already have. But you have to make sure its the kind of class where the instructor really knows what they are doing! i.e., they know the difference between strengthening your core muscles to prevent back pain, and doing endless crunches because you want a flat stomach... ;-)

At work I just use a normal small cushion on my chair -- propped up so that its squished against my lower back, if that makes sense. It helps, and if nothing else it reminds me to have good posture when I'm at the computer. I'm interested in people's experiences with the big ball chair thingies. I only tried one once and it seemed a lot of hard work!!

smallgreenbanana · 12/01/2015 04:39

Not going to join FB group as not on FB! Hope we can still keep the chats going here - they are a bit of a lifeline.

4.30am insomnia again... as soon as I need the loo I'm awake. This time I'm thinking about work. Hmm

smallgreenbanana · 12/01/2015 04:42

14+5

Fleurchamp · 12/01/2015 06:22

I had planned to tell work today but have been awake for hours mulling it over.
I am going to hold off. They don't officially need to know for another 12 weeks.....
So while I am up I am going to go for an early morning swim Grin

itsnotthatdeep · 12/01/2015 06:53

Checking in ?? heading off to work in a bit

itsnotthatdeep · 12/01/2015 06:54

My email is [email protected]

Thanks

StoneBaby · 12/01/2015 07:25

Bad night sleep too. I've been at work for 45mn and would rather go back home! My mum keeps on telling me that I should get sign off due to exhaustion like with DS but I can't convince myself it will be worth it

Morning, at work, eating Mcdonalds, hoping that this will stay down.

I hadn't been sick since last Sunday, I thought it had passed. My body lied.
This morning was horrid! Just staying positive hoping it's a good sign, but i've hurt my back being sick and I have a headache and generally feel shit.

My belly feels smaller today, don't like that feeling.

Broody Yes!! I feel like I am having my menopause not a baby haha

To the ladies who have not told work yet, don't be afraid! Everyone will be really nice about it. My lot all know, they bring me mcflurries and bacon rolls, although I do get called Fatty a lot haha

Scan Thursday, just hoping my best mate don't go in to labour (she is due Friday) as she is coming with me!

GotToBeInItToWinIt · 12/01/2015 08:44

14 + 6 and have had some bleeding this morning Sad. Not loads but I would say it's more than just 'spotting'. I spotted throughout my first pregnancy but never as much as this. Just waiting for the midwives to open at 9am so I can give them a call.

Number3cometome · 12/01/2015 08:46

GotToBeInItToWinIt

fx every is ok, you've had your 12 weeks scan already haven't you?
Is it red bleeding? May be something and nothing, thinking of you and let us know how you get on x

I'm 12+2 today, feels like I am ages behind everyone but glad to have reached the 12 week milestone.

GotToBeInItToWinIt · 12/01/2015 08:50

Yeah I had a scan at 9 weeks (private reassurance scan) and one at 13 weeks, all was fine. I'm trying not to feel to anxious as I have no cramping or anything but it was bright red blood and more than I would expect for 'spotting'. I was told I had a cervical erosion last time and that was why I was spotting throughout so it may be related. Fingers crossed.

Zampa · 12/01/2015 09:04

FX got.

My new 2nd trimester symptom is a shocking headache. Had them all weekend and fluids and paracetamol just aren't shifting them.

smallgreenbanana · 12/01/2015 09:04

gottobe fx for you Flowers

smallgreenbanana · 12/01/2015 09:06

zampa I've been waking up with headaches and likewise finding paracetamol and fluids not really shifting them completely.

Butler4 · 12/01/2015 09:26

Zampa I'm the same have had a headache since Saturday and its so bloody sore. Haven't taken anything for it apart from drinking loads of water, which means more time in the toilet!!

misseskimo · 12/01/2015 09:26

Fx all is ok gottobe

I had nausea all through first trimester, but never got to the point I was or thought I'd actually be sick... This past week the nausea has been so bad I see spots, get flushes and literally feel like I'm going to go, but nothing happens! I don't know what's worse!? Just missed two buses from being in the bathroom, about to miss a 3rd. But I'm terrified if I leave I'll be sick on the bus Sad think I'll ring and ask if I can wfh today. Fx I haven't forgotten about any important meetings I'm supposed to attend Hmm
