Bust yep I'm with you on the back pain. Spent 3 hours shopping today - big mistake as ended up in bed with a migraine, and my lower back is killing me! Shopping bags = heavy, I need to remember that!

SophieBarringtonWard · 11/01/2015 18:57

Hello, hope everyone had a good weekend Smile

Checking in, 15 w 2 d (?), edd 3rd July, DC3.

Bustherb · 11/01/2015 18:57

Oh I'm glad I'm not the only one want. Me being a first time mum - didn't realise that there would be so much stuff that I can't do like I used to anymore! Shock X

WantToGoingTo · 11/01/2015 18:58

Bust i know! Just little normal every day things give you aches and pains and make you so tired! Little reminder every so often that you are actually pg and growing a baby!

LovelyWeatherForDucks · 11/01/2015 19:01

Checking in. Had successfully scan last week (the relief!!!) and EDD is now 25th July (lost 5 days, grrr).

So tempted to book a private sexing scan for 16 weeks!

Ceejay14 · 11/01/2015 19:07

Marking place. Thanks for the new thread and the FB page.
13 + 6 (feels like I've lost a week as was excited about being 12 weeks this time last week, then was moved forward 6 days at scan)

cheetarah · 11/01/2015 19:30

Hi all, checking in. EDD 24 July. Haven't been posting as wasn't entirely convinced I was actually pg despite approx. 20 home pg tests, haven't really had any symptoms. Have been following though, glad you are all doing well with the recent scans. Had a successful scan on Friday finally and have booking tomorrow, what a massive relief. Has been so difficult hiding it over Christmas but have told close friends and family this weekend. I'm 33, this will be DC1.

Pipbin · 11/01/2015 19:47

Welcome Cheetarah
Good to hear that you had a good scan after no symptoms.

NotPennysBoat · 11/01/2015 20:10

Feeling pretty good here, apart from being super tired and having a permanent grim taste in my mouth! Next appt my 16wk mw appointment on 4th Feb, then scan on 24th Feb! Counting down to every milestone Smile

I'm with you on the back ache. I think mine are mostly due to my work chair as I didn't suffer to much this weekend but do during week days!

My scalp is very funny at the present as it seems to be full of scabs! But I don't itch it. I guess I need to change my shampoo but don't know what to get Hmm

Bed time now

That's not good stone you should speak to your manager Smile yes I get scabs on my scalp but it's normally when I've had too many scalp bleaches or toners. They don't come on straight away, normally overnight. Maybe your scalp doesn't like the shampoo anymore xx

GingerbreadHead · 11/01/2015 20:47

Yes on the back ache! Can't believe it's started already Confused I had it terribly with DD, through late pregnancy and most of her first year with bf....really ought to do something too to strengthen my back!!

Thanks for the new thread Stone, lost track of what number we are on now!

Just a quick thanks to Zampa and a couple of others (sorry forgot names) too for getting back to me about the harmony scan info, does sound very thorough!

broodylicious · 11/01/2015 20:57

I get that occasionally with my scalp stone - I take it as a hint that my shampoo or conditioner isn't appreciated by my scalp anymore so change brands. I find a bottle of something different usually does the trick. Boring fact, I like those garnier ultimate blends at the mo.

BadIdeaBear · 11/01/2015 21:02

Has anyone ever used a backless kneeler chair? They're supposed to be really good for bad backs and I have heard someone say good when pg.
I had one briefly years ago and they did feel v good for your posture.

Great to see new people checking in.

I PMed miss about the Facebook group - should I actually write to you nat instead?

GingerbreadHead · 11/01/2015 21:28

I have one of those bad it's ok, does feel a bit better, but I alternate between that and a normal chair, sitting in one or the other all day feels too much!

I'm a bit confused, not very good on the ole fb, how do I join the group!? I can't find it when I do a search for it.......

Naturegirl82 · 11/01/2015 21:37

I had an inflatable cushion for my work chair last time that was like sitting on a gym ball. That definitely helped my back and it wasn't expensive. I'll probably start using it soon but need to find it in the loft first.

WiIdfire · 11/01/2015 21:42

I dont have back ache but i do have pelvic girdle pain. Anyone else? Ouch :-(

Zampa · 11/01/2015 22:11

You're welcome Ginger.

Have started telling people this weekend, which makes it more real. Had a chat with a friend who's due at beginning of May and she's only put on 9lb and hasn't started wearing maternity clothes yet. Very jealous!

Number3cometome · 11/01/2015 22:11
