Just Shagging Grads thread No.13 for upduffed viroids!

Nessalina · 06/10/2014 07:46

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 13th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed! Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 29th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy! Grin

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

Loving all the silly things our DPs are coming out with!

Yes yes to nursery pictures! Ill be moving house after Christmas and will need inspiration!! Smile

splodge77 · 10/10/2014 13:50

Ha ha funny stories, I remember in 1st NCT class last time round we were talking about the men cutting the cord & my DP piped up "I wonder what they did in caveman days? Chopped it off with a piece of flint?" Everyone looked at him like, who is this weirdo? God I'm so bloated after lunch I've popped me maternity trousers on already - at 11 weeks!! Feels good though.

littleluna89 · 10/10/2014 14:10

rofl splodge flint? I'm cringing just thinking about it!

Oh! DH said at our (one and only) antenatal class "There's more than 1 stage of labour?" that's when I knew we were in trouble!!

Pisghetti · 10/10/2014 14:24

What did they do in caveman days though...?!

I can take a before picture of the wardrobe nursery but won't be able to do the after picture for a while!

Minion · 10/10/2014 14:37

Haha or this
M 'whats the first stage of labour?'
H 'the screaming?'

Hahahahaha

gaggiagirl · 10/10/2014 15:14

hello chatty viroids.
the weather has been so bad that i have been without wi fi for-actual-ever!
Anyway spoke to the midwife who pissed herself laughing when i said i bled after shagging Shock she said 'dont you think you should abstain for a while then?' i made a sad noise she laughed somemore and reassured me so all is good.
I get my booking in appointment when im 9 weeks on the 20th of october, thats forever away.

teejayem · 10/10/2014 15:14

Mr T 'What do you mean your boobs are going to leak, surely it just goes on and off?'

Because boobs are like taps....

Minion · 10/10/2014 15:23

H ' all being well, youll go to hospital around 3am, have the baby and we'll be home by 9'..
Yes, cause its that easy!

Clueless ha

minimooo · 10/10/2014 15:32

Giggling at the man comments! My dh said that surely you can just hold babies upside down in the shower whenever they poo?! Shock He also had a client who said they potty trained at 6 weeks (I didn't believe them but dh said he saw them holding the baby over the toilet???) so now he has it in his head that we will be doing the same Hmm I can't say that I'm totally confident with the idea of leaving dh with baby alone at the moment!!

Had my booking in appt on Wednesday and have 12-week scan on Monday (am completely terrified because last time I was diagnosed with blighted ovum at 12-week scan) Just trying not to think about it at the moment.

Looking forward to nursery pictures!

Hope your booking in going ok today kato?

Hope the babies move round to better positions ness and juni

Hope you're not too tired today wil after that early morning post!

(Sorry for mammoth post!)

KatoPotato · 10/10/2014 15:41

Hi viroids, sorry for the lack of posting here, but after La's news and also watching a 'may 2015' thread full of sadness I'd slunk into a bit of a scared place. I was so casual with DS but I just now worry every day.

Had my booking in today (9 weeks) which made things seem a bit more real now, and the MW was very positive about having another elcs.

Hope everyone's well, 12 weeks scan is on 3rd nov.

KatoPotato · 10/10/2014 15:42

Oh and during the appt she was flicking through my notes and came to DS's birth notes, I looked and said to DH 'oh look! 0956 he was born! Then burst into floods of tears!!

laurenamium · 10/10/2014 15:43

Oh mini my next scan is on Monday too Grin

KatoPotato · 10/10/2014 15:48

And I've just started crying again because min remembered my booking in was today!!!!

FurryScoob · 10/10/2014 15:53

Ok this is our baby cupboard room. Shit tip to nursery in 2 months.
My DB & nephew live with us at the moment so when they move out & baby gets older she can have a bigger room.
I'm not a fan of pink rooms so its stayed blue but will have butterfly's & flowers on the walls.

FurryScoob · 10/10/2014 15:59

kato I came off the November thread when people started dropping like fly's & stayed here. Hope the next few weeks go by quickly & you get to see your little bean. Flowers

Good luck to everyone else with scans soon, time goes so bloody slow in the first trimester!

couldbeanyone · 10/10/2014 16:00

Hi all sorry not keeping up with thread very well, you are all talking loads!

All pregnant ladies should be in my house where a mini great british bake off has ensued this afternoon, including ginger biscuits, for medicinal purposes, obviously Wink

Scan next week!

minimooo · 10/10/2014 16:12

Ah bless you kato! I've had lots of crying episodes too. Usually at adverts and when my Rachel's Dairy rice pudding exploded in the microwave Hmm

Nice to have someone else going to scan on Monday too lauren! What time is your appointment? I'm hoping it won't be affected by the midwife strikes (I can't imagine it would...I don't think the sonographers are striking)

Wish I could come and get some cake and biscuits could! They sound delicious.

Love the before and after pics furry. Blue with butterflies and flowers sounds gorgeous!

littleluna89 · 10/10/2014 16:16

kato the fear is totally understandable. I almost ran screaming from my Facebook group because we lost so many girls in a short space of time, I don't remember anything like that with DD's group, but I think I was much further along before I joined! The bonus of this group is everyone's at different stages, the people who are about to have screaming bundles of joy kept me going through most of the fear here, so even if I didn't post much (people are probably sick of me posting now :P) I was able to lurk fairly safely.

furry I think time goes slow al the way up to 20 weeks, at least past then there are fairly regular appointments, and bags to pack, and stuff to prepare etc etc. I've started my birth plan and birthing partner plan to keep me occupied.... the birth plan is a page and a half separated into general stuff, 1st stage, second stage 3rd stage and NICU (i think he headers make it huge) but the guide for DH may actually become a book by 36 weeks... We're getting out all of the baby clothes to organise the week after the 20 week scan too bounds round excitedly 6 weeks to go!

DH and I are in serious disagreement what a surprise about the nursery situation, we're in a three bed house (we have the biggest room, DD has the next biggest room, the third is an unspeakable dumping ground that people keep sneaking more and more bloody rubbish into!!) and I desperately want us to have a spare room to actually put guests in, so I was going to keep bump in with us until they were sleeping okish and then put them in with DD (her room is pretty damned huge just for her) but MiL is worried that bump might disturb DD so of course DH is convinced that bump will keep DD awake for the next two years and desperately wants the third room to be a nursery. Either way it would actually need clearing, which isn't going to happen in the next millennia...

laurenamium · 10/10/2014 16:22

Mmmm biscuits Grin

Mini my scans at 2. It was at 3:20 but they've sent me a letter changing the time "due to unforeseen circumstances" so i guessed that was the knock on effect of the strike maybe!

Furry the nursery transformation is amazing!

KatoPotato · 10/10/2014 16:24

Thanks so much everyone! Thanks going to go for a nap now, before dinner at mil's!

splodge77 · 10/10/2014 16:36

we're in a quandry as well about where to put baby - we're in 3 bed house but DS's room is teeny-tiny. At the mo our second biggest room is guest room/my office but i think we'll keep the double bed in there and stick cot in too so that if people come to stay we can move in with the baby and they can have our bedroom. (DP's family live a few hours away so we want somewhere they can stay when they come up). reckon we'll end up putting both kids in the bigger room together at some point, mind you the walls are so thin in our house i'm sure DS will get woken up by baby wherever we put it. ah well...

wilmabedrock · 10/10/2014 16:58

Yeah i'm worried about bigger one being disturbed too, she's a pretty light sleeper.

Tee, your fella sounds hilarious. Love that he thinks holding a 6 week old over the toilet is the same as being potty trained! And the 3 or 4 outfits Grin . You should try that and put him in charge of laundry.

Can't believe the massive birthing plans. Think mine was 3 bullet points long last time and didn't even achieve any of them! You're all so organised. Think I have my head in the sand.

Hope you feel a bit happier soon Kato.

Please can someone make dinner for us?

wilmabedrock · 10/10/2014 17:01

Sorry, that was Mr Minimoo. It was the optic boobs comment that was MrTee Grin

Nessalina · 10/10/2014 17:15

Hello all - it's taken me an age to catch up!! Grin

Good grief Wil, sympathy on the long night Confused

Fx on your scan Mini - I know it's unlikely for lightening to strike twice with these things, but if doesn't help the scanxiety!! Thanks

God, I know just what you mean Kato, the November thread got properly depressing, I just stopped reading after a while and retreated into my own head Sad Luckily this thread started up again properly and I felt like it was a lot less scary somehow... Though we've still had our share of bad news unfortunately. Not long til scan though, and hopefully the only way is up after that! Smile

Lol @ Mr Min, I'm sure he can have all the baby time he wants Grin Deffo worth having a chat with midwife about hip pain - it does sound early for it to be giving you that much gyp!

Aww Lauren that's cute Smile Mine is the silent type too, don't say much but they're there when you need 'em.

Luna - Love that your DH is gonna have your LO dpsing before they can talk Grin I'm a bit of a WoW junkie myself - never occurred to me that I could get my first born trained up to go raiding with me!!

Fab nursery pics Furry Smile Ours needs a bit of work yet... Blush I think we'll have to move if we have number two - there is no space in this house!!

This position nonsense is all a bit of a mind f*ck Juni Sad DH is already fed up of my angsting!! I'm definitely gearing myself up mentally for a CS now... If he's not turned yet then I'm not sure he will...
At least with back to back once your waters go there's a good chance of baby swivelling as they engage? Fingers crossed anyway!!

DH has actually yet to say anything too dim... He's been reading up like mad on baby stuff, so embarrassingly enough I think he might be better informed than me Blush He's in the dog house today though - I borrowed his car so me, my pal & her baby could drive out to go for a walk this morning, so he took my old car. And left the lights on when he got to work, so came out to a flat battery!! Confused Rang his breakdown cover, turns out he's only covered in his own car! I rang mine for him, and I'm only covered if I'm with the car, so I had to drive 30mins to meet him for when the AA arrived! What a pain. Have now added him to my policy to prevent future incidents Hmm
My hips are buggered after 30mins driving, 1hr walking, then 1hr 30 mins more driving - whimper! Shock

Dude. Epic post!!
