Evening girls youv'e all been really chatty today! NJ glad things have died down but do take care of yourself im sure your sensible enough to know when to contact someone so i wont nag to much!

I had a horrible night (suprise suprise!) We had a lovley time at the cinema, the file was excellent. I got home went to sleep and woke up about 1hr later vomiting everywhere and did so untill this morning, DP took the day off work to help look after ds. Luckily im feeling ok now and we managed to do a spot of shopping and either brought or ordered the rest of the baby stuff.

Got really annoyes earlier i measured our stairs and got a stair gate that was apparently for appropriate size, got it home and went to sit it only to find its miles to big so now i have to drive miles away to return it!

On the plus side we don't need to buy anything else except the nappies and we still have £100 left of the maternity grant.

I have been having some savage heart burn i was using Gaviscon lemon tablets but they are gross and i can't take them when im feeling sick, i have also tried Tums and Rennies and both didnt work so i may pop back to the chemist and see if there is anything else on offer, i have all the normal pains and aches same as NJ so i feel for her! Im seeing my midwofe tommorrow so i will get her to do a full check up to make sure were both healthy.

Going to bed now as im knackered and ds had gone to bed early with a bottle as he's still all snuffly. nighty night

calsworld · 03/10/2006 19:28

Oh dear Charlee - we must have been hugging the toilet simultaneously last night!

I've had loads of problems with heartburn, I thought it was all normal and was taking tums etc...(can't stand minty flavoured chalky medication) but it was getting worse and worse...finally I went into hospital a couple of weeks ago in the early hours coz the pain got so bad, they thought I was passing gall stones and gave me morphine, a drip for dehydration and three days bed rest! Guess the heartburn had kind of gone beyond normal....after lots of tests and about a thousand urine samples...they finally released me with a prescription for ranitidine which stops your body producing the acid - I've now got it on repeat prescription....thank god!

Last night's bout of sickness was due to me taking some gaviscon - I tried really hard to keep it down but something about peppermint just makes me sick! Sorry if TMI.

Anyway, for those struggling with heartburn, its worth asking about ranitidine, you can get it from the chemist in the form of Zantac, and there are some 'own' brands too - but you need a pharmacist who knows what they're talking about to let you have it or doctor can prescribe.

I'm starting to get really jealous of you lot now...I've only just cleared 31 weeks and still have 7 weeks left at work! (I haven't updated the list with my new due date of 1st Dec) My levels of dizziness are reaching an all time high, I've never been so forgetful and I can't believe how long it is taking me to do the simplest tasks at work - my boss is beginning to despair!!

Sorry for long rant, its been a bad day, and the heartburn is starting up already....tums at the ready!!

((HUGS)) to all....

MeAndMyBoy · 03/10/2006 20:30

Evening ladies, my word some of you are really suffering

FGLH fingers crossed that all is fine, will be thinking about you tonight.
Calsworld - might be worth getting your iron levels checked dizziness can be sign of being anaemic, even if you feel fine in yourself. Glad your heartburn has been sorted sounds awful.

Stacey you poor thing with being sick and feeling horrible, hope you can get it sorted out soon.

NJ - pls take it easy, I know you'll do what's right but I'm worried about you.

Debbsy - hope your backs feeling better and you're not feeling so horrible.

Debz99 · 04/10/2006 08:34

FHLH hope you're doing ok pop in a give us an update as soon as you're able.

podglet · 04/10/2006 08:46

Hi all,

FHLH, let us know how you are doing? Hope all is ok.

Charlee - hope you are feeling better too sweetie.

Still no coroners report here so I have been at work yesterday and today and then taking the rest of the week off. Hoping they will provide it today so we can make a start tomorrow. Still hasn't hit me, just want to get something sorted. I would like to get the cremation done and dusted asap and then I don't really care how long the other paperwork takes. I just want "closure" on that bit first.

Got my consultant appointment tomorrow morning after my scan last week. Am curious as to what he is going to suggest. Am going to demand a Glucose test though as I have all the symptoms of Gestational diabetes. I am also going to ask for the Strep B test as I have been told I have this but nobody seems to be taking it seriously.

Hope everyone else is ok and the aches and pains aren't too bad!

saralou100 · 04/10/2006 09:23

morning all!! have been feeling pretty lousy for the last 2 days! monday ended up feeling very sorry for myself as i couldn't even walk to the park with ds, felt sorry for the poor little sausage - he didn't ask for this!! bh carried on all day and alll night, but settled down yesterday and baby managed to sit on a nerve in my leg so ihad this horrible feeeling in my leg.. the list of complaints went on and on!! but i'm ok today (knock on wood)

hope lo's ok fhlh.. thinking of you xx

staceym11 · 04/10/2006 09:25

oh FHLH i hope that everything gets sorted and your lo is ok.......let us know asap im worried now!

well off to midwives in a bit so wont be on for much of the day........still didnt sleep well last night, its starting to get silly....thing is that i acctually have energy during the day and im not sure where its coming from!!! its gone by evening and dds bedtime tho, dh having to do most of that!

well hopefully convincing my parents to buy us a tumble dryer as an xmas pressie today (to have today) as my washing is just not drying on my airer anymore, well it is it just takes 3 days which is ridiculous!! getting so behind, need to sort summit out before lo arrives.

oh and had soem good news, the job my mum was going to be taking the beg. of nov she now isnt so she wont be working 5 days a week which is great coz il need her help when lo comes. especially as i havnt coped with a newborn completely on my own before and now il have a toddler too (we lived at mum and dads till 5 month ago)!!

right must dash, will let you know how midwives went later!

FoghornLeghorn · 04/10/2006 10:25

Morning ladies, sorry to panic you all. Needless to say we got on the trace at the hospital and the baby started going wild - great big movements
Really glad we went though as feel completely at ease now and they weren't busy so i don't feel like we wasted anyone's time.
DH was looking at the monitor to see baby heart rate, movements etc and saw that I had a contraction, he started panicing bless him.
Midwife came in to take trace off with a great big bunch of flowers and a balloon saying "its a boy" (obviously for someone else on the ward) so now DH is adamant that was a sign and we are defo having a boy.

Morning all,
FHLH - glad everything went fine and they managed to put your mind at rest, my friend had the same thing she went up to the hospital 2 or 3 times for a trace and they were always very accomodating.
Sorry to hear that so many of you are feeling rough, i think that's just the way it's going to go now but on the plus side that means we should start having baby's popping out to say hi fairly soon.
Only 32 days to go!

Debz99 · 04/10/2006 10:57

Glad things are ok FHLH.

Feeling a bit queasy this morning, was sick first thing but feel rather ropey now ! Hope I'm not gonna be like this for the next 4 weeks !

Glad your MW visit went well MyGirl I'm off to mine at 3. Did you know you were having a girl??

Debz99 · 04/10/2006 16:11

MW appointment went ok. Blood pressure is down, iron is 13.6 So no tablets required, heart beat 144 today. Am measuring 37 weeks ... does this always mean larger baby? Baby is kinda on his side towards back so hopefully he will shift position before I go into labour no more pain than absolutely necessary LOL ! Not got to see midwife until 38 weeks now as I have a growth scan booked next week and the consultant the week after.

schmizaj · 04/10/2006 16:30

Sounds like some good stats going on. Remind me about position, sure i've read this but does the LO ideally need to be facing totally inward toward my back for delivery? Had scan yesterday which showed her or him facing right side. Do they move when they engage? Loads of time to go so not worried just interested.....

Debz99 · 04/10/2006 16:40

I really dont know LOL, she wrote Ceph ROL on notes which means LO is towards back but on side if ROP is written on notes its back to back and if ROA is on it means towards the front.

NatalieJane · 04/10/2006 17:20

Hello everyone

FHLH, I am glad the trace went OK I had the same situation earlier on in the pregnancy, same thing happened, as soon as I was being checked out, the baby started shifting about!

Well I am off to go to Tesco, not sure if I am going to make it all the way round yet though! Wish me luck!!

TC xxx

Delia · 04/10/2006 17:53

Lol NJ glad i'm not the only one who dreads the shopping trip. Sometimes i only get about half way and have to leave dh to it or get a chair!

Debz - glad mw went okay.

Got scan on Friday am to see if my placenta has moved out the way so am getting exited, cant wait to see lo again.

Charleesunnysunsun · 04/10/2006 19:09

Evening all

I am feeling a little better this evening, waiting for the bath to be free to go and ease these damn BH's.

Glad everything went ok FHLH i went in a few times with ds to get a trace when he was being quiet and every bloomin time i would walk through the clinic doors and he would start going mad, i felt like a prat but they were always very kind and reassuring i was right to go in.

I saw a midwife today not the usual one as shes on holiday but 2 very nice ladies one of whom is new.
She said im not measuring to big and my b/p is fine although i do still have protien in my urine samle it has gone down alot from the other day. I had my blood taken and there coming to the house tommorrow to give me my anti-d injection.

The babies heart beat was 150pbm im not sure if its in the girl or boy range anyone know?
Anyway she wrote Cep Lon so i think thats head down but not sure which way round feel free to let me know!

I discussed my feelings about the birth and my fears ect they were really nice and said to speak to my consultant but reassured me that second births are on a whole alot easier and quicker than first ones and the size of baby has nothing to do with tearing ect its more to do with the position and speed its delivered.

I did however find several grey hairs yesterday! which would be fine if i wasn't 19! The midwife said it was fine to dye my hair as it was a no no when i was having ds so im going to dye it tommorrow!

Have a good evening
