There were four asterisks there, maybe they got censored....

Hello! My EDD is end May/early June (my birthday too!). I had an ectopic earlier this year and I'm so terrified it'll go wrong. All seemed well at my six week scan but I've nearly 4 weeks to wait for my 12 week and I can't stop worrying about it. But if all goes well then baby number 1 will be the best birthday present ever.

LouMum14 · 22/10/2014 14:14

Hey guys still here but until scans and things I feel quite uneventful though I did have a horrific midwife appointment last week with mixed up notes that said I already have 3 children and a drug addiction Shock I have one child and am not on drugs!!!! The midwife was very apologetic and referred me straight back to mainstream care thank goodness once she realised this was wrong! I finally saw my GP today who was also very apologetic and shocked, and had no idea how that had happened. He wrote me a letter stating that this was false information, told me he would removing those notes and that he would be getting the practice manager to investigate! Such a relief to hear that.

The midwife did say my due date would be around the 17th May but obvs that would change at scan. Scan is scheduled for the 11th November so roll on for that! Can't wait! Hope you girls are doing well!

Daisy17 · 22/10/2014 15:19

Oh Loumum, I saw your thread!! Nightmare! Glad it got sorted out so efficiently. Welcome, Bazza, a few of our number are in a similar boat so do feel free to wobble here. It must be so worrying.

Finally on half term here so breathing a huge sigh of relief to have made it through. My scan is on bonfire night! so the day after I go back to school, so only one more day of dissembling and with any luck I will be able to give everyone some good news and be flakey with impunity! Feeling soooooo rough and surviving on beige food and Lucozade.....Confused

I know the feeling! Feeling like something just isnt going to go right.... almost seems too good to be true after 14months of trying! Positive thoughts everyone!!

Bazza2 · 22/10/2014 21:20

Thanks! I try not to be too wobbly with DP, and none of my close friends live anywhere near, so I will join all the other wobblers on here.

Bazza2 · 22/10/2014 21:23

And I've just been invited on a gin tour. Gah. Stupid gin.

Daisy17 · 23/10/2014 08:51

Oh joy, first actual morning vomit..... At least it waited till half term.....Baby obviously not into mashed banana....

Hi all,
I'm currently (hopefully) 9 weeks pregnant with baby no2. I have a 5 year old son and had a M/C around this time 3 months prior to conceiving him.
Looking forward to getting to know you over the next few months!
I was suffering from nausea, mild sickness, hunger and sore boobs, but this has all petered off now. Scan not for another 4 weeks, so anxious times.
From my dates EDD is 31st may but I went over by a week with my 1st so edging my bets!

Claire1987bh · 29/10/2014 09:44

Is anyone still awaiting to hear from their midwife? I still have not heard anything. And they have me down as 10 weeks but I had an early scan and I am 9+2.

I know I could just ring up but I dont want to appear egar :)

Gr33dyeggs · 29/10/2014 11:12

It seems different wherever in the country you are! I 'booked in' at 6 weeks at my surgery on the recommendation of my GP. But haven't got hospital MW appt until the end of November at 12+5, then scan at 13+3 the week after.

It might be worth a call to them to check you're in the system.

twinkles11 · 29/10/2014 18:50

I refered myself to one to one midwives. They said midwife would ring within 48hours, she rang withing 24 hours and booked an appointment for 2 weeks later. she also booked me in for a scan as I didnt know exactly how far I was (which I had yesterday, and I am 8 weeks and 2 days). Back again in 4 weeks for another scan and a midwife appointment again for the following week :D

Daisy17 · 29/10/2014 19:51

Welcome, gr33dy! Round here we see GP who sets all the scan stuff in motion and tells us to book to see the midwife who has a clinic at the surgery. All very tied up and efficient, feel very lucky. Had midwife booking in session last Friday, bloods and wee and lots of questions! 12 week scan is a week today (hurray!) at which, if all is well, I expect them to say I'm 11 weeks due to my 5 week cycle.

I'd ring up Claire, just to make sure.

Hi All,

i'm not 100% on the DD but currently it's 30th June. I am gradually getting over the shock of discovering I am PG but not feeling excited really - it's too huge for me to get my head around at the moment I think. At the moment I mostly feel windy and queasy with a side order of insomnia, funky, vivid dreams and lastly, if all of that wasn't quite sexy enough, my skin is breaking out all over. When exactly do we start to glow?!! ;-)

I'm new to MN so I am not sure if I have to join this group or if I am on it by posting... I would like to join though. :-)

Daisy17 · 30/10/2014 16:46

Welcome, hippymama, make yourself at home. It's my 2nd and I still just feel ill rather than pregnant at the moment!

Happy Halloween everyone! How are you all feeling today?

Had my first midwife appointment yesterday. 12 week scan was already booked for 17th and next midwife appointment in too. She was very nice and sent me off with lots of medical history to check on with my family. It's only after you get asked all these questions that you realise that far from being the relatively healthy lot you thought you were, actually EVERYTHING runs in your family and it's just a question of what gets you first.

Claire1987bh · 01/11/2014 08:04

All sorted now, I had a few missed calls on my mobile for a no caller ID. But no voicemails.

Then I managed to pick up my phone to one thinking it would be a PPI call but it was the midwife she said saw been trying to track me down..... Not an awful lot of use using a withheld number though.

First app Tuesday :)

Daisy17 · 01/11/2014 08:34

Why on earth not leave a message?! Glad it's all sorted. Smile

Hello all, I hope everyone is getting on ok.

I had my booking in appointment last week which was fine and the midwife seemed really nice and I have another appointment with her in December. Scan is on 18 November. I am looking forward to that as, like Daisy, I mostly feel ill rather than pregnant at the moment. Seeing what is going on inside might tip the balance towards pregnant rather than ill.

Roll on the second trimester and hopefully the end of feeling sick and spotty!

MrsMigginslovespies · 01/11/2014 16:46

Hello all,

Welcome all the new ladies and congratulations. Not been on in a couple of weeks as felt so rubbish plus half term here and we've been busy. Think might have to go to gp next week to talk about antiemetics as feel so nauseous so much. It's really getting me down now and I have a lo to look after too so not easy. Had a scan almost two weeks ago (8+4) and all seemed well. There was just the one on there which was a sort of relief but sad at the same time. My ds was also a twin for a while as I had two embryos emplanted with him as well. Had a very long booking in appointment on Thurs and next scan in about three weeks so it's all go now. Just need to feel less vile.
Happy Saturday to you all xx

Daisy17 · 04/11/2014 21:23

Scan tomorrow! Feeling excited but also quite anxious - we were high risk following the nuchal tests last time and had to decide whether to have amnio or not - we decided not in the end and DS was fine - but I'm frightened it will happen again and this time the decision will be harder because of considering the family we already. I know I'm jumping the gun but it'smaking me feel all jittery. Meh!

OP posts:
Daisy17 · 06/11/2014 16:31

All good. ?? Baby was just too small to officially measure nuchal (did tell midwife I'd only be 11 weeks by my calculation, do wish they'd listen!) but sonographer said it looked fine. They're going to scan me again in two weeks to double check so that's nice!
