If I make 3 weeks at work it'll be a miracle. I'm going to start thinking of it in terms of days. 15 days at school. 13 when the kids are back. Of those 13 I'm only in class for 6 on my own, and then another 4 with my maternity cover doing the teaching while I watch/help a bit. 3 days on management handover. It feels less bad broken down like that. Only actually 6 days where I have to stand up a lot. I can do that.. yes.
I'm going to give myself a year after the birth bit to get back to normal I think. We're only going to have the one, so I have no excuse on the weight front, am looking forward to feeling fitter and more in control of my diet. I also want to be away from health care types, I'm fed up of being stuck with a needle, and fed up with being a little bit patronised the whole time. I figure by a year after birth we'll have worked out a bit more of what sort of kid we've got, how we all work together, and how we need to lead our lives as a family as a consequence of that... you know, can we travel? Can we live abroad again?
That said, I'm not wishing the next year away, I'm really looking forward to it.
