We briefly attempted a nipple shield, but C gave me a "WTF is that look" so I didn't persist. I might have to give it another go as that is two PESH recommendations for them in as many posts.

I never got my WC jab, bugs. It kind of got by-passed in all the appointments of my last few weeks of pregnancy. But C will get her own jabs very soon anyway.

faif I don't feel like I need to or want to mix feed yet. I will if my milk can't keep pace with her demands. I am really proud of seeing her grow so well on my milk at the moment. I am not anti formula though. Both me and KFZK were largely formula fed and we are fine!

ALittleFaith · 22/08/2014 13:33

That's good euro, your attitude sounds positive. I know expressing can be tiring (and obviously is more work than just BF or FF) but if it's working for you then great! I struggled to express much.

Sounds grim bugs. I didn't use my antenatal thread. Far too many mentalists/attention seekers out posting the normal.

ALittleFaith · 22/08/2014 19:39

That's rubbish bugs! It's so variable. Mine were and still are awesome, we defected to FB, share photos etc. there's posts everyday. One girl went on to have another (within a year!) and really didn't gel them in the same way. Just remember, most babies are born safely! The exceptions are just more memorable and make sensational stories! Confused Faithlet's arrival was a bit intense due to speed (I know Dor was the same with the Little Mister) but I'd do it again if I can persuade MSB Smile

FriendofDorothy · 22/08/2014 19:53

My antenatal group has been pretty entertaining and supportive. As Faith said most babies are born safely but we only hear about the negative ones.

katandkits · 22/08/2014 22:33

All babies on my group (well, out of the ones that defected to fb) were safely delivered. Obviously some c sections and some who had a harder time than others, but all babies born and healthy. Its normal to be frightened of labour as it is such a big unknown but the scare stories are not what happens to the average woman. Sounds trite, but worth remembering that many of us are daft enough to go back and do it again.

I am bored of the fourth trimester now. I would like the littlest kitty to get over her hatred of going to bed so that we can get some sleep! I was so sleep deprived a week ago I thought I had pnd. Formula had to make an early appearance. I don't exactly feel guilty as I needed Mr k to do a couple of nights and it is easier for him as it doesn't need warming. But I was hoping her to have breast only for longer than seven weeks. Hey ho. At least I am not feeling down any more.

I had a look at your antenatal thread bugs - it wasn't too bad, just a couple of insensitive posters I reckon.

After many, many hours of waiting, baby Elizabeth (sorry frank!) arrived via forceps at 3.26 am.

I am tired but elated. She is beautiful.

TheOriginalWinkly · 23/08/2014 10:41

SmileFlowers congratulations ginge, hope you get some rest and aren't too sore. Great name, must be something in the ESH waters as it was my first choice for most of my pregnancy.

SinkyMalinks · 23/08/2014 10:57

Congrats Ginge! Hope you're both ok, welcome to the whirlwind...

FrankelandFilly · 23/08/2014 10:59

Massive congratulations Ginge, and don't apologise for goodness sake! All the best babies are called Elizabeth Wink

maamalady · 23/08/2014 11:37

Congratulations ginge! Wonderful news. Sorry you had such a tough time but I'm glad you're ok. Love the name Thanks

Grin

HWCA took the baby for 2 hours just now so that I could sleep. I feel like a new woman. MiniWink is asleep too, she fell asleep in her swing but only after HWCA removed the frog and toucan that dangle down. Too exciting and too frustrating for a baby who can't reach them.

Awwww, you know I'm only kidding folks. All the ESHlets have excellent names Grin

Well done Bugs, I've heard they no longer sell them online so I think we're going to need to make a trek to Ikea to get one for MIL.

I offered E a piece of cucumber today and she took it with relish, so I think baby led weaning will be a goer in a few weeks!

Bugs, top of the list now!!!!

In other news my baybee has decided to refuse bottles. This is Not Good.

FrankelandFilly · 23/08/2014 16:42

Fankle & Cunty, you're going to have to stop lurking at some stage y'know!
