It could be. Worth asking your GP to refer you for Physio worn someone who specialises in pregnancy related conditions.

Sciatica sounds about right. I had it on and off (which I had forgotten about) but as soon as she shifted herself it went again. Hopefully you'll get some relief soon. Pregnancy is damn hard work isn't it.

And she's home!

After more than three and a half years of waiting, endless poking and prodding, two rounds of IUI, 4 rounds of IVF, a very stressful final few weeks of pregnancy and a three week stint on NICU and SCBU, we finally have our baby home. :)

Oh euro, I'm so, so happy for you. It's dusty in here, isn't it?

TheOriginalWinkly · 08/08/2014 16:58

No dust here, actual big fat wet tears of happiness for you euro Grin So bloody delighted!

TheOriginalWinkly · 08/08/2014 17:00

I lied in the above post btw. There's shedloads of dust here :)

SinkyMalinks · 08/08/2014 17:04

So glad! Can't believe she's 3 weeks already - but bet you've felt every hour of it while you've been separated. Now comes the fun bit - the first night at home!

CuntyChops · 08/08/2014 17:45

Euro I'm chuffed to bits for you! It's been a long slog but now you can have lots of lovely snuggles with your baybee! Grin

Euro I'm so very happy for you all. It's about bloody time Grin.

I have broken one of my teeth. I have absolutely no idea how I have done this. Can't get a dentist appointment until a week on Tuesday! If it starts to hurt I'm to call them and get an emergency appointment. Oh well, thank the NHS for my maternity exemption certificate!

I'm glad it helped a bit, bugs. I had the odd day of sciatic type pain but it resolved itself very quickly.

ginge that is pretty bad timing! I hope you can get in before Tuesday week.

Sorry for all the specks of dust floating about ladies. It's certainly not any cleaning around these parts that is responsible!

KFZK and I are both shattered. We're walking around the place like extras from The Walking Dead! And now we have a newborn to deal with...

The nights are hard work (we've done 2 now - one at the hospital and one at home). In hospital, she didn't show much interest in food at all until a day or so before she came home. Now she is making up for lost time and basically wants to feed non-stop, which means next to no sleep for us. As she still doesn't really get breastfeeding, I'm expressing while KFZK feeds her the last lot I pumped. It's very inefficient! But she is gorgeous and cute and my heart melts when she snoozes on me. :)

We've just been for our first trip out - to our local farmers' market to buy cake wholesome organic produce. Ahem. Our cobbled mews and pram wheels are not a good mix. She looked very put out as she was being bounced around.

bugs We've only got 2 sheets at the moment. Two more were sent back by the courier company when we didn't go to collect them within a few days when C was in hospital. Helpful. We're going to pick up some more later. They fit the carrycot as well as her crib, so we need a few.

ALittleFaith · 09/08/2014 14:33

Aw euro! gosh yes nights are hard work to start with! It does get easier. Have you tried nipple shields to get her latching?

bugs I had two sheets for the Moses basket and many muslins that keeps trying to auto correct! but would have benefitted from more. We have 8 (!) cot bed sheets since Faithlet was so pukey.

TheOriginalWinkly · 09/08/2014 16:30

Hooray euro, you're doing ever so well. Enjoy your 'seasonal produce,' its well earned. Enjoy the snuggles, maybe in time with lots of skin on skin she'll develop an interest in the boob.

bugs we're using the uppababy vista carrycot as a moses basket atm and because it's a funny shape, the specific sheets cost a fortune and we're using pillowcases instead (that was a top MN tip!) 2 wouldn't be enough for us, night time sickiness could easily do 3 plus. We're switching to the nct bednest next week so need to buy some more for that.

Epic failure today. We were meant to be going out to our nct reunion, but the baby had a horrendous poosplosion in her carseat. By the time it was washed, she had an emergency bath, fed her to stop the screaming, winded her, cleaned up the vomit and winded her again, it was so close to the time we would need to leave (HWCA has work this evening) there was no point in going. I've basically been stuck in the house all week with an upset stomach, HWCA has been at work, and I was really looking forward to getting out especially as I have no plans at all until Tuesday. Very disappointed.

Ginge, how are you doing?

euro glad things are going well at home with centime.

GingerScouse · 09/08/2014 23:02

I'm still here! Feel less like I'm about to go into labour now than I did 2 days ago. Been cleaning the kitchen today, think that might be the extent of my nesting!

eurochick · 10/08/2014 10:07

Winks, that must have been so disappointing. Can you get out today?

Ginge, nesting? ;)

We've had a very disturbed night. C started sounding a bit grunty/ wheezy as we were going to bed. We were then debating all night whether we should take her back to the hospital, as we were told to have a very low threshold for seeking help as she is so small and vulnerable. The day before she came home two of the babies who were in scbu with her developed colds and were grunting, so it could be that. But it basically meant we didn't sleep at all as we were listening out for her.
