HungryHorace · 07/06/2014 21:41

Welcome to the 9th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed. :-)

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 24th outing!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

For those not in the know, a viroid is an autocorrected version of 'ladies' from the 1st JS thread, which then stuck.

So, roll call below please, viroids. :-)

Good luck for the scan today Furry!!

Back to work and reality today! Bit scary now we've gone public!! Thinking I might crack and phone Dad to alleviate some anxiety too.

I'm all crampy since the scan - has anyone else had that? Confused x

HungryHorace · 26/06/2014 10:41

RPopz, I've been crampy all the way through this pregnancy. Way more than last time. I've decided it must be normal as I'm clearly still pregnant and everything is fine!

Good luck today, Furry.

Yes scan was this morning, everything looks good. Got to go back for another scan in 3 weeks to get a measurment of the back bone as the little monster wouldn't turn over. It's got it's legs firmly crossed so couldn't find out the see either!

How's work going rpopz was it you who's had to put up with over the top pregnant colleague? How's she taken it now shes not the only 1?

FurryScoob · 26/06/2014 11:43

Oh I mean sex not see, bloody phone!

Minion · 26/06/2014 15:05

furry fab news on everything being well! but grrr for little nipper not turning.

popz, people can be arses but don't let his negativity affect the way you see the world! it's his problem and he's clearly missing out on an awesome relationship with his daughter and his eventual grandchildren.

So, today was week 16 midwife as when I went in I asked if today was heartbeat day. She said they generally don't do anything till week 25 as if they can't find anything due to it being still so small, women get stressed etc. I promised to behave (don't think I would have tho) and she did it... And it was amazing.
Like seriously the coolest thing I've ever heard in my life.
The husband and I reckon it was like a galloping horse which can point to a girl but I guess we find out in just over 3 weeks.

Was a bit embarrassed as I wore a dress today as so warm in the office and my trousers are now straining against the bump-- so I asked her if it was over dress, nope. I had to lift up... So I had to apoloogise cause not only am I not trim down there, the shame. But I was also wearing Christmas pants.
Seriously big Christmas knickers.
With snowmen on.
And they weren't white anymore... The absolute shame. Thankfully she took it well ha!

But yes, if you can, at 16 weeks, ask to listen to the heartbeat. Took about 30 secs to find it and we were like 'ooerrr here we go' and the husband was all 'oh minions gonna flip', but then she moved higher and deeper and there it was. All fast and everything.

Wow!

Minion · 26/06/2014 15:06

Oh and she said 'I can hear it, kicking away', but I didn't have the heart to tell her the poor kid was hopped up on cherry coke,..

JuniDD · 26/06/2014 15:20

Awww lovely! also a bit jealous. Not of the grey xmas pants tho! Shock teehee

Yay for good scan furry and chance to go again. Am I the only one having a surprise so far? I reckon it'll be an otter!!

FurryScoob · 26/06/2014 16:32

Haha that has to be the law of sod at it again minion if you'd had nice pants on she wouldn't have had a go with the Doppler!

Baby otters are cute juni but might be a shock if one pops out in a few months!

HungryHorace · 26/06/2014 16:48

We are having a surprise, Juni. I think it's an elephant. Or something with sharp claws as I've had really painful cervix-scrabbling all day. Ouchy.

Furry, glad it went well today. Cheeky monkey for not playing ball though.

I'm glad your midwife let you listen, Minion. Mine wouldn't at 16 weeks. Boo! Shame about the pants though, ha ha! :-)

Nessalina · 26/06/2014 17:28

Ha! Grin I lolled at your Xmas pants Min. How typical! I was offered a listen at my 16 week, though it did take her a while to find him.

Glad all was good at the scan Furry, though annoying that they couldn't get the spine... At least it means you get a second pop at getting a flash between the legs! When are you back again?

My little one is super squirmy today Confused I want to like it, but it just feels so weeeeeird!!!

RPopz · 26/06/2014 18:00

LOL Min!! Grin I'm sure she's seen worse... they've always seen worse Wink
Great news on the scans and heartbeats ladies Smile I think we will have a surprise Juni - despite the parentals best efforts!!

Cramping has buggered off now thankfully. It was stabby and pokey last night and I panicked I was losing it immediately after telling everyone.... Hmm Hooya for Rpopz. Still a bit tender today so reckon I just had an overzealous sonographer!

Sooo... today I have discovered dark chocolate Hobnobs... I fear this is the end for my skinny trousers!

wilhelmeaner · 26/06/2014 18:56

Good news on the scans/heartbeats. Bad news on the pants and straggly bush.

We'll have a surprise too Juni as long as all is ok. I think it's a boy though.

Still feeling sicky and not sleeping because of hayfever so cannot wait for bed tonight. Been an exhausting week.

RPopz · 26/06/2014 19:12

Haha I missed the bit about your errant bush Min!! Grin

Must admit to having a bit of a trim in prep for yesterday... haha!

Are your meds not working Wil? x

cookielove · 26/06/2014 19:18

Hello all, glad to hear heartbeats and scans went well :)

Christmas knickers rock :)

So I decided to wear work trousers non maternity, which fit ok but complete ankle swingers, I looked homelesa today Blush

wilhelmeaner · 26/06/2014 19:42

haha Cookie, sounds like a good look.

They're not doing much Popz. I normally take twice the recommended dose and also use a nasal spray so this just feels like nothing. They worked for the first day. I wonder if I should stop taking them really although they do stop my eyes being itchy at least.

JuniDD · 26/06/2014 20:32

I got woken up by my hayfever wil, it's bloody miserable with waking up needing the loo etc anyway.

on the bright side, it has finally cooled down here and I feel like a new woman. I could barely walk on Monday and MrJuni was upset about it but today I feel great! (comparatively). Can't wait for the weekend now.

JuniDD · 26/06/2014 21:06

I am watching OBEM. Why do midwives call everyone lovely? It just makes me want to snarl "I'm not so lovely". Or is it a new Bristol thing I never noticed in 33 years...? Hmmm.

Minion · 26/06/2014 21:13

Now I shall forever read your posts in a bristolian accent juni

Yes, let's just say I shall keep on top of the pruning from now on, just in case!

Just got back from mamas and papas, big sale on so bought half the stuff for the cot, bumper etc, lost sale before all the new stock in. Got the jamboree range, all caterpillar and monkeys etc, so cool.
Well either I have the next Olympic gold medallist bouncing around inside of me or there is a major come and go muscle twitch occurring, mental feeling tho.

JuniDD · 26/06/2014 21:15

I am posh!! Grin Haha, people never believe I'm a local. Get broader around my family though. Not sure watching was a good idea. Freaking out a bit!

RPopz · 26/06/2014 21:23

Still not dared to watch any OBEM!!

Bit jeal of your shopping spree Min

RPopz · 26/06/2014 21:25

Aww just googled Jamboree! That is gorgeous - exactly the sort of thing I'd like. Nice and neutral. Good choice Min x

wilhelmeaner · 26/06/2014 21:34

Careful with cot bumpers before baby is mobile Min, smothering hazard apparently please don't punch me in the face for being annoying.

They definitely don't call you 'lovely' in Scotland Juni. But then I don't think anyone thought I was particularly lovely during labour.

Minion · 26/06/2014 21:37

It was all I could do not to walk out with the whole range, the stuffed caterpillar really swung it for me.

Can I admit something here? Please don't judge.
Before pg (bpg) I want sure I was capable of loving a child, I couldn't comprehend how all this love just springs from nowhere, didn't think that maternal love could be that strong, and I kinda still thought that even after the scan.
However, and im pleased to say I'm completely wrong (don't tell the husband) but ever since I heard the heartbeat and felt all this movement... I'm converted.
I'm in love.
Hopelessly in love. Sorry.

Minion · 26/06/2014 21:38

Oooh wil I'll get on that, thank you, Def not annoying, these need to knows !! ( and iI have a shyte pupunching technique anyway)

RPopz · 26/06/2014 21:44

Aw Min. I get you completely. I'm a grouchy self centred moo. I just wanted to be pregnant before. Couldn't really think as far ahead as a baby/ child. Couldn't really comprehend how I could love a child more than I love my dog (Blush ). After that scan yesterday.... hook, line and sinker.... Expected it to be a blob, didn't expect it to be cute, didn't expect to love it!! Literally cannot stop looking at the scan pic x
