Just Shagging Grads Thread 9 - Roll Up, Roll Up all you graduated Viroids!

HungryHorace · 07/06/2014 21:41

Welcome to the 9th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed. :-)

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 24th outing!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

For those not in the know, a viroid is an autocorrected version of 'ladies' from the 1st JS thread, which then stuck.

So, roll call below please, viroids. :-)

I think a 'large mango' is cheating. They shouldn't specify the size of the fruit or it misses the point entirely! That large mango could be the same as a small melon. It should be one set size! I realise that is a bit rage-y for something not very important but it annoyed me when my friend was pregnant. She came in and was the size of a large this and a small that. NO! That cheating! For me this time we are picking things that are set sizes. My lime today is the same size as golf ball and that's one set size.

Phew. Hormones! (?)

Did you reply to the clever thing juni? That is weird! What was clever - getting pregnant or keeping it quiet? What does it mean?!

Thanks horace, i'm super excited!! Haven't told DH, a surprise for him! haha.

JuniDD · 20/06/2014 10:52

backs slowly away from dulcet
Although, I'm always on board with a good rant. I'm going to find another website to give me a more precise measurement. At the private scan the woman said it was the size of a woman's hand. Which also means nothing. Apparently it's about 27 cm long which seems much bigger than a mango, that's nearly a foot, right?

He is a strange man, so I have just ignored the email. He also asked about seeing scan pics and I was like...er. NO WAY.

RPopz · 20/06/2014 11:20

Haha Dulcet that is possibly the best rant I've ever read. You should do an AIBU Wink

Juni that is super creepy.... Confused

DulcetMoans · 20/06/2014 13:17

I know, it's a weird thing to get annoyed about. But its worked out find as now I put my efforts into finding a new solid scale of measurement! For 27cm I propose... the size of the 'cleaning bucket of joy' in my office. I just measured it - its 27.5cm but close enough. Too specific?

Not need for AIBU - We all know i'm not. Wink

JuniDD · 20/06/2014 14:13

Ok, so I can tell MrJuni that Thumper is the size of the cleaning bucket in dulcet's office? hahaha! Hilarious!

Right, any tips for swollen feet/ankles? Being sat up all day isn't doing me any favours. I tried to put my feet up when I had lunch but it just wasn't long enough, or comfy enough. Trying to do leg exercises at my desk but it's not really helping. My shoes are so tight by the end of the day!

wilhelmeaner · 20/06/2014 14:40

Short of wrapping ice packs round your ankles, not really got any ideas. ah it's roasting and i'm feeling sick again.

JuniDD · 20/06/2014 14:54

Sorry you're feeling sick again wil. Hope you can take it easy.

I'll try out the icepack-anklet look. Smile

The cat is back, hurrah!

DulcetMoans · 20/06/2014 15:12

Not very glam is it juni, i'll find something else when i'm at home!

Yay for cat return though!

My back hurts a lot today. That is my pregnancy report. Although I did do a class last night so it could be that...

JuniDD · 20/06/2014 15:15

No, we need things like "the size of a Fendi clutch" or something. Sod all these food references!

JuniDD · 20/06/2014 15:15

Not that I have one of them lying around at home to measure!

Minion · 20/06/2014 16:10

I'm at pear stage apparently, which is nice for the husband as apparently I already have a 'lovely pair' Hmm

RPopz · 20/06/2014 16:37

Hahaha oh Mr Min Grin That sounds like something my DH would say...

Glad the puss cat is home Juni. They are a worry sometimes aren't they!

Sorry you're feeling sick Wil - the heat doesn't help Sad

Oooh pregnancy report. I think I might be over the worst of the ms! Feeling humanish this week. Apart from wanting my bed from 8pm onwards... Wink

wilhelmeaner · 20/06/2014 17:12

I'm with you Rpopz, I could sleep any time of the day. Knackered. Definitely finding this pg easier than the first though. I reckon that means it's a boy.

Ha Min Mr Wil would also make a similar joke. Sounds like they'd all get on well. Can't believe you're only at pear stage though. Mine must still be a peanut. It's a long old 9 months.

FurryScoob · 20/06/2014 18:52

I just googled baby size & apparently I'm currently carrying a heirloom tomato sized baby, what the hell is one of those?

Have a good weekend in the sun viroids, I'm spending it at work Sad

Nessalina · 20/06/2014 20:07

Hello all!

I am officially miserable. My boobs are enormous, itchy, red and hot, and driving me CRAZY. Also feeling fluey and ill, so Dr Goofle has convinced me that I have mastitis! Confused Anyone else's boobs gone mental?!

My sprog is apparently just the size of a mango - large or small not specified! Grin 25cm crown to heel, but I guess he's all curled up still, coz that's pretty damn long in my book!

Glad the cat's ok Juni!

Sympathies on the vom Wil - you must be getting to the end of it soon!

RPopz · 20/06/2014 20:10

Eeek sounds nasty Ness - didn't think you could get mastitis unless you were breastfeeding.... but then I know nothing!

Got out of work an hour early and Pizza Hut is en route... woop woop!

RPopz · 20/06/2014 20:10

Feeling a teeny bit sick after my proclamation earlier!! Hopefully just hunger... Wink

HungryHorace · 20/06/2014 20:14

Mastitis already, Ness? Can you get to an OoH GP for antibiotics as you shouldn't leave it for the weekend really?

I'm glad the cat is back safe and sound, Juni. :-)

I'm glad that people are maybe starting to get past MS and other grimness.

I'm very tired after a trip to Liverpool, then a trip home via Mothercare and Kiddicare. Spent quite a bit too, on DD and DC2.

wilhelmeaner · 20/06/2014 20:28

It's actually fine, just lasted a couple of hours. back to moaning about hayfever Grin . Thanks for sympathy though.

I think mastitis when not bf is pretty rare. Hope you are ok. If you actually think you might, get to doc asap because it gets worse pretty quickly. Thanks

Whenever it gets past 8pm all i can think about is going to bed. Tragic.

JuniDD · 20/06/2014 20:35

ness that does sound like mastitis (not that I've ever breastfed but you know). Do you have a walk-in or something near you? Friday night is such an awkward time to need medical help. Take 2 paracetamol? Hope you feel better soon. xxx

I need dulcet (are you the charity shopper) to rein me in! Just took delivery of three pairs of black maternity trousers! Might have to rethink the plan to just have one to get some wear out of all these clothes! Wink

Braxton Hicks are odd, aren't they? Not sure I'm a fan!

Nessalina · 20/06/2014 20:44

Thanks guys Smile It does seem to be rare in pregnancy, but not impossible. They're just so bloody enormous I'm not sure if it's just general tenderness, but they definitely look red in patches to me. Hmm.
Think I'll ring NHS Direct and paracetamol sounds like a good idea in the meantime!

DulcetMoans · 20/06/2014 20:48

That is totally me juni! Get thyself to the charity shop. Barnardos for the cheap stuff I find. I was in my 99p work trousers today. Haven't checked them out for maternity stuff though, can you just buy bigger sizes? Does it work like that?!

Not sure what that mastitis thing is ness but listen to these lovely people!

Pizza here too popz, left over from yesterday. Yummmm!

RPopz · 20/06/2014 20:53

Haha, I was thinking to just get bigger sizes rather than maternity gear... I guess it might work for tops but not so sure on trousers... unless everything balloons at the same rate as your belly! Wink

NHS direct are a bit pants Ness. Their ultimate answer to everything seems to be: go to gp/ walk in centre! Hope you get sorted though.

Braxton hicks already Juni??

Nessalina · 20/06/2014 20:56

Good grief, they've booked me into the OOH GPs Shock Appointment at 22:40! I'll have to get out of bed!

JuniDD · 20/06/2014 20:57

I've got one pair of v cheap trousers in a larger size but they just balloon out between the bump & the tops of my legs where maternity trousers seem to fit properly. Also, elastic. Wink Tops worked for longer. I love shopping and clothes though so this is me just trying to get my wardrobe up to scratch! I know one of my friends mainly just bought a size up.

Apparently, you can get Braxton Hicks all the way through! A part of the bump goes really hard for a minute. I don't like the sensation much, though it's not painful.
