Could do with a leeeeetle advice. Me DH and I have got a week off work in July (I'll be 10w by then). A couple of our friends are also off and suggested a week away in a holiday cottage or something. I've told them our news and they're very happy for us - I was wondering what to expect around 10w realistically? I'd love to be away for a week to chill out, but the thought of being stricken with ick-ness for the whole week is a bit of a put-off!

EnglishGirlsReturned · 11/06/2014 18:22

Your such a lovely bunch of ladies, your kind words really do help. I hope your little penis dragons stay strong and continue to thrive!
I'll be back xx

barmybunting · 11/06/2014 18:30

Oh English, I am so very sorry. That utterly and completely sucks!

fancyacupoftea · 11/06/2014 18:52

Frenetic everyone is different so really hard to tell! At 10 weeks though I am at peak sickness but didn't experience it earlier on - started at 8/9 weeks. Hopefully your peak will be earlier (if you get sick at all!)

freneticfox · 11/06/2014 19:05

fancy I'm still hoping I'm a lucky duck - I'm not a sicky person at all (in fact only thrown up twice in the past 20 years), I don't get travel sick and I usually have a strong stomach. (Ok, so I might be telling myself this to calm my phobia!)

MrsBeeBeeBee · 11/06/2014 19:09

frenetic I have to say there is no way to guess!

I'm not a Sicky person either, and with my DD I remember having a couple of days around the 6 week mark when I felt a little queasy but other than that nothing at all.
I had a hen do at 6 weeks or so and a wedding at around 10 weeks and remember being absolutely fine for both of those.

With me the trick is eat little and often. If I didnt get hungry I didn't get nauseaous. I'm hoping its the same this time (feeling a little peaky right this second as we've not had tea yet!)

English hope to see you back here very soon honey but take all the time you need xx

fancyacupoftea · 11/06/2014 19:23

Sitting on the loo trying to 'sort myself out'. Ended up vomming into a bin on my lap.

toots123 · 11/06/2014 19:25

english thats terrible. Cant imagine how your feeling. Hugs to you. Yes, you'll be back in no time xx

MademoiselleG · 11/06/2014 19:34

Oh yuk fancy , poor you!

PolytheneGirl · 11/06/2014 19:45

Ok, hands up, who's going to be making DH/OH watch OBEM tonight? He does need to be prepared after all! Grin

Oh no Fancy I feel for you! You need to get your bum to a curry house! That'll soon sort you out!

fancyacupoftea · 11/06/2014 19:54

Well, turns out all the constipation remedies had worked. It's just they were stuck in a queue. So as soon as the traffic blockage cleared it was free to move. And move it did! It made me do another vom. Bumsick and real sick, and not even got food poisoning. Pregnancy is disgusting

Totally forgot about OBEM! Is it the same hospital?

lindamagoo · 11/06/2014 19:58

I'm recording OBEM to watch at a later (less emotional) time. Can't seem to stop crying today, someone please hand me a grip Smile

PolytheneGirl · 11/06/2014 20:39

Well done Fancy, you show that turd who's boss! I hope you're feeling better now even if it was a bloody awful experience! No idea if it's the same hospital or not. I just can't wait.

Linda pull yourself together woman!!!! Lol

RetroHippy · 11/06/2014 20:47

Think it is the same hospital. DH has snuck out for the evening, I think it was deliberate.

He left me alllll alone and I ate half a pie [fat face]

Sooo tired this week. Keep having to nap at 6 for an hour, then feel crappy afterwards. But everyone at work is shattered after ofsted too, so not sure if it's preggy symptoms or just being shattered generally. Got a bit of a wave of nausea today in the hot classroom. Had to pop out and have a moment. I'm hoping it's not the start of the morning sickness.
