Thnaks for the kind responses. i do feel better getting it off my chest. It irritated me and took the shine of the appointment. I don't think this is true for Mrsthedog whom was preoccupied with how long it was taking to find a heartbeat. It's more thta i wanted to celebrate getting further along and things going okay and something got in the way of that.
I've bought a camping table for us all (all three of us Wink ) to sit at when we go camping next year as a family to chear myself up.

mum2kiss · 30/04/2014 13:55

Time for my appointment with the new midwife. Lets hope she is an improvement on the last!

I totally understand how you feel puppy :( glad you got a camping table to sit at although there still may only be 2 of you that can "sit" next year :-p

I am beyond excited about our break although dp has.pointed out that.my.pgp may cause problems...right now I dont care though!

TroubleAndFyfe · 30/04/2014 14:24

Gah..that sort of thing really gets my back up too puppy, so bloody unprofessional! Well done re camping table, excellent solution. Smile

ExcitedCJ · 30/04/2014 14:30

I'm at the airport, flying back to UK this afternoon. I was standing in the security queue in my best skinny jeans ( maternity) & the lady asked me if I'm pregnant! I'm only 16 weeks coming. Oh dear! She is either very astute & connected or I'm huge already! :)

sazzlehopes · 30/04/2014 14:44

Tak1ngchances I'm 18+4 and have felt nothing yet. Last pregnancy I didn't feel anything until 21/22 weeks. Please don't worry. I'm slim too, so there isn't even a big bit of fat for it to hide under! Just not very 'kicky' babies perhaps!?

I don't think we'll find out the sex, we didn't with the first and I'm happy for a surprise. DH would like to know, so it is up to me to break or not!!

TroubleAndFyfe · 30/04/2014 14:44

At least she didn't ask you if you really really liked cake excited! Smile I was definitely looking pregnant at 16 weeks and was with DC1 too.
Oh and Shock fedup - a 4 day labour!

ExcitedCJ · 30/04/2014 15:11

Trouble I like cake too!! Yes, at least it must look like baby! :)
I love my ickle bump!
I know sex already & love that I know. I'm not great with patience so suits my mind better.

Kirstipops · 30/04/2014 18:00

Stood on the scales this morning...I think I must be a stone over my pre-preggo weight now, yowzah. I don't look any fatter elsewhere other than my bump but surely that can't all be water, wee Dug and extra blood?? Must be actual fat belly too, tho normally when I gain it goes straight to my thighs and bum!

MundayCakes85 · 30/04/2014 18:07

Sat in my garden hoping a bit of sunshine might help clear up my bacne. Feel like a teenager again with all these spots, at least they're not on my face yet

ohthegoats · 30/04/2014 18:43

Same here on belly fat Kirsti - I have got thinner elsewhere, but despite not getting on the scales, I know I've put on weight. My 'bump' is new belly fat that's being pushed out a bit.

Beautiful day today - was on break duty and did a much longer one than normal. I love it when the kids are out playing on the field, all the daisy chains etc.

Artistic · 30/04/2014 18:58

Is anyone using acne cream with benzoyl peroxide in it? I am on prescription for this before I was pregnant & stopped using it once I found out I was pregnant. But the acne are back with a vengeance!!! Real bad ones 3-4 on each side if my face. Any advice? Home remedies?

Oklahoma · 30/04/2014 19:27

I though pregnancy was supposed to make spots better but my skin is terrible!

Artistic · 30/04/2014 19:32

Oklahoma - yes, exactly! Mine too. And at 36 to still have acne is embarrassing! Hmm

mrsb87 · 30/04/2014 19:45

Okla it's probably more to do with our aversions to showers etc! I know I've had some whoppers with the hg after hating having a shower.

Loulou888 · 30/04/2014 19:57

I am feeling huge! I'm 9lbs heavier, my boobs, bump and thighs are def bigger, I always tell when I've put on weight as top of my thighs start touching! DH said my bump is looking huge........panicking as we go on hol end of June :(

Loulou888 · 30/04/2014 20:01

I was all fluid with ds just hoping its same again ....

Oklahoma · 30/04/2014 20:10

MrsB that and the malnutrition!

STIGZ · 30/04/2014 20:55

I had that baby doing somersault feeling around 13 weeks but not a lot since? The odd bubble pop feeling but probably wind as i am full of it!! And its trapped... Cant rid at all!! When i fart i feel like doing a victory dance !! I can hear moving about all night!!

But I keep getting a strange sensation just above pubic bone but a bit over to left hand side .... My stomach basically goes rock solid and tenses up for about 20 seconds then goes back to normal???

Anyone else get this?

Im not gettin 16 week check .., but have a consultant appointment around that week!

Gender scan booked for next thursday at 6 pm .. Got it half price so at £38 so chuffed about that!

My money is on a boy! .,. But will be honestly be chuffed either way !!

mum2kiss · 30/04/2014 21:03

So the new midwife seems to have her head screwed on. She made steps to rectify the following errors made by the previous midwife:

-Redraw blood as midwife didnt tick the correct boxes for my.blood to agve the correct pregnancy checks
-contact physio as referral doesnt appear to have ever been done
-correct my medical notes to show my correct body weight as previous midwife had me down as 10kgs heavier than I actually was

what was supposed to be a 20mins appointment turned into 40min because she had to call the various departments to sort everything out!

I wont see her again until I'm 28 weeks now...these appointments are much farther apart than they were when I had dd!

Kirstipops · 30/04/2014 21:06

Can't remember who it was who asking about the 4D scans but I'm not getting one, the stills I have seen of them kinda freak me out a bit haha, think it's the metallic look of the babies! Plus I think the first time I see his/her face I want it to be in "real life".
DH and I still struggling to come up with any ideas for baby names, I'm now starting to wonder if it won't be named for days and days after it's born because we can't come up with anything, eeep....

ohthegoats · 30/04/2014 21:16

Bert!

We've got a list on my little tab thing that I carry around with me all the time. When we think of new options it gets added to the list. Usually while one of us is adding, they are also taking the other person's ideas off the list. We've sort of got a girl's name that we actually both agree on, but no boy's name yet.

Rules are - may not be the name of someone either of us have had sex with (cuts the girl's list down quite a bit because bf was a big tart, haha), may not be in top 20, may not begin with B, J or K. Hence why Bert is an unpopular addition to the list.

All my favourites have been vetoed.

Kirstipops · 30/04/2014 21:32

We both tend to like foreign sounding names, particularly Spanish ones, but trying to find one that goes nicely with our very Scottish surname is a challenge!

OP posts:
Kirstipops · 30/04/2014 21:33

"bf was a big tart"
Hahahahah!!

mum2kiss · 30/04/2014 21:41

Now that we've settled on names I refuse to.let them.be reconsidered! It was painful enough getting to this point!

Forgot to say earlier that midwife found babys heartbeat straight away...it was a definite galloping horse...then she lost it and when it came back.it was a definite train! Lol!

She has decided that we will go with 13th december due date so that pushes me back two days.

would someone.mind adding me to the list now please?

Mum2kiss dc2 edd 13th oct

ohthegoats · 30/04/2014 21:42

Ah yeah, one in our top five is Spanish, but it doesn't go with a German middle name, which is a non negotiable due to family stuff. I don't care about second names, I never use mine, and my nephews have really silly ones, so will just go along with it.
