Had the cat at the vets after work and due to the appointment delaying my dinner I was fit to eat her cat biccies on the way home! DH intent on working on the garden tonight so I've made myself some biccies and cheese to sustain me til he's done, could have actually demolished the whole packet of digestives though :-O

Welcome sjh some of us seem to have quite big bumps but I think on the whole that's people who are having second or subsequent pregnancies. I think no bump at 16 weeks with DC1 is very normal.

SJH I am 16+5 and my bump has just started becoming apparent (first baby.) I am only having growing aches and pains now all other symptoms have gone. It is a bit strange after feeling so awful for so long and took a bit of getting used to!

SJH I am 16 weeks due on 11th with baby number one and no bump at all yet, can't wait for it to come, I've got loads maternity clothes just ready for it also think DH really wants it to be there as well so he can touch and talk to it.

No bump here until the last few days (18+1). Still not very big though.

Still not wearing any maternity clothes, although jeans too tight. All my normal dresses fit, so wearing those.

Not many symptoms left here either, my bumps getting harder at the bottom and rounder but not really bigger yet. Anyone else having lots of stretching pains?

Yes to pains, but I've been having pains of various sorts the whole time.

In terms of symptoms, I just feel a bit 'not quite right' most of the time - not necessarily unpleasant, but at least once an hour something will happen to remind me that I'm pregnant. Dizzy moment, pain in tummy when I stand up, random bit of heart burn, breathless while walking up three steps, three tiny wees in half an hour etc etc...

Sorry I just saw this response- have you had the blood test for babies dna in your blood? I dont think its available everywhere - I am waiting for the results, to see what the babies blood group status is... how are you feeling about it?

I thought I would pm or message might get lost, I nearly didn't see it- im pretty new to this mumsnet lark, but its been great.

Second baby here and 16 weeks (same due date SJH) and I have a bump. But not sure if any bigger than first baby! I
Show early as I've a short body so it goes out quickly.
Although today some people said I was looking small for 16 weeks (I was wrapped up in a coat) and wish they hadn't said that as cue paranoia that baby isn't growing properly.

Undecided as to whether the movements I think I'm getting are wind or a baby! I must be pretty windy if it's the former! Got my 16 wk mw appoinent on weds and really nervous and worried there will be no Heart beat. Find all this waiting so difficult!

No tests offered I just need to be careful. They said they will test the babies blood after they're born and if it's different to mine I will have to have to have another injection. Apparently it's nothing too much to worry about this time but i will have to be extra vigilant for any bleeding if I get pg again.

My appointment is Wednesday too fedup. I have exact same fear about heartbeat!!!! To top it off I received a letter today saying they've rearranged my appointment from morning to afternoon so now have even longer to wait!

mum2 were you also awake at 4am worrying about it?! Feel so rough this morn after such a terrible sleep. Was tempted to see if MW can see me today but not sure how I will fit it in with work on the off chance they can see me. It's horrible isn't it. The worry.

I have my 16 week appointment on Wednesday too, and I am also worried about the heartbeat! I cried hysterically on Friday just thinking about it. Hormones do not help I suppose! It also doesn't help that my DH is in the south for a meeting he can't get out of :/

Fingers crossed for all the upcoming appointments and tests everyone is due!

We've our 16 week app today. It's with a consultant but our Midwife, the consultant's office and we do not know why. Ho hum, good luck to all those with appointments, and to those with wobbly feelings too.

My "consultant" appointments have actually mainly been led by a midwife, then the consultant comes in for the last 5-10 mins of the appointment for a chat too. My 20 week scan is 2 weeks yesterday, eep! Good luck on all your appointments today folks :)

kirsti 2 wks til my 20wk scan today! So excited. Is anyone considering a 4d scan later on in their pregnancy? They look amazing!

Yep, my consultant appointment was midwife led with 10 minutes with a registrar.

I don't have a date for my 20 week scan yet. Should be week after next, but we'll see. I've got a date for one at 23 weeks though.

My scan date is the same as yours kirsti, half 10 so not too much waiting. Hoping I can relax if all looks good and enjoy the pregnancy xx

goat - what's your 23 week scan for? Is that not just your 20 week scan - I had my previous "20" week scans at 22 weeks.

So Midwife could see me this morning. I'm working from home this morning so thought I would see if they had space. She understood and was very sympathetic to my paranoias. Heart beat found. PHEW and normal at bout 150 bpm. Baby was doing little kicks - I just can't feel them all the time. And breathe.
