That's annoying CJ, I'm sure it's really just a routine thing. If they wrote a letter saying 'please contact us at some point' they have no idea how you'll respond. 'Urgent' gets you where they want you.
I'm feeling really 'meh' today. My brother has been over for lunch. I come from a little village and a big family. He tells me that there are apparently LOADS of people I simply 'must' phone and tell in person, because they'll be upset if they hear on the grapevine. He still lives in the village, I don't and haven't for 15 years. I really, really don't get why this is any of these people's business. I haven't seen lots of these 'simply must' people in over 2 years, they are not my friends, they are just 'people' from the village, or older people in my extended family. I've told three friends, my parents and my brother/his family, and my work colleagues. In my opinion, they are the only people who need to know. Thing is, I know that this will all link back too, to when the baby arrives - everyone and his dog will know the full details of the birth, I even know how many stitches certain people's daughter in law's had, when I've never met them. The gossip train runs hard in that village. It's as if my choices about my uterus, and the state of my vagina are the world's business.
Rant over.
We've got SO MUCH to do before this baby arrives, including building an extension and decorating an entire house, putting in a new kitchen, a new bathroom etc, the 'baby' is if I'm honest, the least worrying thing about the next 6 months. No one is getting excited about how I should tell everyone the extension update news are they? Just grrrr...
