Old thread is getting full so here's a nice new one for all our moaning, paranoia and getting each other through it. Can someone do the honers and copy our edd list over? Maybe link the old thread too?

ohthe goats I get the sneezing pain too also had it a few years... If I move suddenly it goes... It can be very painful... Feeling better to know others have it too always worried about that but never really asked anyone about it...

Thanks for the explanation I guessed it was something about a positive result but couldn't make any words fit lol

BlueberryPoppy123 · 02/03/2014 21:18

Went to tell the in laws today were expecting... My son was in his IM THE BIG BROTHER tshirt... We said show grandma and grandad your new top and they read it and the response was "so was this one planned or another accident" i was raging had to bite my tongue! DP explained it was planned and his sister got very excited saying how it had to be a girl why everyone keeps insisting I must have a girl is p%ssing me off Then they asked if I'd had a scan and when is it due... No congrats nothing! I was gutted, wanted to get up and leave... So annoyed still but can't discuss with DP as apparently I always have to pick at something with his family.... yes cos they are dins

pebble82 · 02/03/2014 21:49

Blueberry don't worry, we're not telling DPs parents yet because we're sort of expecting a fairly negative/none response. We are taking bets on whether his mum will comment first on the fact we're not married or that we shouldn't expect her to babysit all the time. Some people are just funny. As long as you and DP are happy that's all that matters. Just let it go over your head.

How annoying blueberry. My parents will be thrilled but I know dp's won't as they always roll their eyes when we talk about wanting a third. That said, they only had two and everything they did/do I'd always bloody perfect and the only proper way of doing things (grrrrr). As someone else said, it's annoying but at least you&dp are happy.

Mrsthedog · 03/03/2014 06:49

puppythedog and I have been away for the weekend and we have missed so much on the thread! Maternity clothes, early scans and fabulous food confessions. Boo.

Lots of love and best wishes to the mammas who are feeling sick/ annoyed / irritated / bored with the whole thing. Thanks

It is all fun in the puppy household - my nausea has taken serious hold so now I can only seem to eat things if they are three-quarters carbohydrate.

The obvious solution to this is to have everything in a sandwich and/or on toast. Chicken stew in a sandwich. Treacle tart and custard in a sandwich. You get the idea.

Bumpforme2014 · 03/03/2014 06:49

Morning all, I told my mum yesterday and was not looking forward to it as she has a habit of being negative and saying hurtful things (not intentionally). Her initial reaction was no, no, no, to me saying I had some news, then she said I know what your gonna say and guessed it. Once she realised it was all planned and I was happy she got happy and it was so nice comparing symptoms with what she had.

Looking forward to telling mother in law as she cannot wait for a grandchild and her daughter lost her husband last year after they were only married one year so it's just the news they all deserve.

Aggressive gagging this morning, I worked out it happens when I don't eat enough previous day. Woke up at 2am starving so had a feeling it was going to happen. Eaten breakfast now so feel better but hope this week goes quickly.

officelady · 03/03/2014 07:00

Well after my pledge to eat healthily yesterday I managed to plough my way through three custard slices that fell into my trolley when I nipped out to get some dog food. But I did feel more energetic so it's all good.
I've got my first midwife appointment this morning. Am dreading it. I don't want to talk about birth or my previous pregancies or plans or scans. It will make it all too real - I'm not ready yet. I am afraid if I acknowledge there might be a baby at the end of this then everything will go wrong. I know deep down that this is totally batshit crazy irrational but that's how I feel.
Hey ho - hope everyone has a good Monday without too much nausea and rage x

ohthegoats · 03/03/2014 07:11

Nausea is baaaaaaaack. Blee.

dog - same on the carbs thing. I have wheat issues though, so whilst I ignored those early doors (and really felt it), I'm now eating every meal with three quarters potato. It's all about the mash and the waffles.

TroubleAndFyfe · 03/03/2014 07:24

Good luck today Officelady, let us know how it goes! Thanks

TroubleAndFyfe · 03/03/2014 07:25

Oh, and how's the PGP mum2kiss?

puppythedog · 03/03/2014 08:51

Hello all, echo Mrsthedog about all the the stuff on the thread. Taken me forty minutes ot catch up. Worth having to catch up becuase we had dinner with Chris Bonnington.

Sorry to hear so much ire, distress, pain and sickiness. Good luck for this week all.

mum2kiss · 03/03/2014 09:20

Morning all :)

Pgp still affecting me. Will have to mention it to the midwife next week. Took dd out to watch a half marathon yesterday. I parked so we'd only have to walk about 3 mins. As we were walking back to the car my pelvis refused to play ball. I had to walk at a snails pace! Ive also found that sitting on the loo triggers off the buttock pain!

Dp and I are friends once again. I think we made it to the point that neither of us knew who wasnt speaking o whom! We cleared things up by dtd so all is well now ;)

Sorry for those of you still puking :( I dont ever puke so if I ever had morning sickness I'd probably die!

Good luck with your appt office

PunkyBubba · 03/03/2014 09:47

I honestly don't remember my previous pregnancy (with DS) being this bad! Every time I've looked back on it before I remember it being a lovely time.. Maybe partially as during the first trimester I was being paid while effectively doing nothing at home.. and could have lovely snoozes in the afternoon. I also didn't have a chest infection that won't go away causing me to be off work last week, and potentially this week too (depending on what GP says in half an hour), and I didn't have a very active 2 year old DS who likes jumping on me.. and winding me up..

But still... I DEFINITELY did not feel this sick, and did not go off coffee (my favourite all time drink).. so generally thinking this sucks so far.

Counting down the days to the 2nd trimester when hopefully the sickness will go and I will get some energy again.

Officelady very jealous as I LOVE custard slices.. but then again probably couldn't stomach them at the moment.. another treat if I make it to the 2nd trimester! :-)

Oh well, better get ready for the doctors..

Wishing everyone a nausea-free Monday with lots of energy!

xxx

BlueberryPoppy123 · 03/03/2014 10:53

I've been comparing to DS Pregnancy...
Pregnancy 1- ridiculously tired Pregnancy 2 - just tired
Pregnancy 1 - no heartburn Pregnancy 2 - heartburn!!!
P1 - minimal to no back pain p2 - lots of back pain!!!
P1 - regular toilet trips p2 - Tmi alert either seriously constipated or Dhiarrea
P1 - happiest time of my life p2 - I feel ridiculously worried and if I'm honest slightly depressed... Not with the pregnancy just in general I think because I'm very emotional have been crying quite a bit... That didn't happen last time...
P1 - I lived alone p2 - constantly tidying up after other people!

I just want to speak to a midwife! Even if it's only to tell me I have another 2 weeks til I get a booking in app! Stressing so much and I'm trying but can not stop :( just want reassurance my little poppyseed is safe but can't really afford private scan...

Pregnantagain7 · 03/03/2014 10:54

Hi everyone please may I join you? Have been lurking for a while and have been a bit nervous about joining due to 3 previous mcs. Anyway have finally plucked up the courage so here I am!

Pregnantagain7
April 05 dd
Oct 10 dd
Sep13 ds
Edd 15 October

If everything goes to plan will have 13 months between this one and my ds! Anyone else got a small age gap? I must say pregnancy and a five month old has been a bit of a challenge! Do you think anyone has actually died of tiredness before?!;)

Grannyapple · 03/03/2014 11:21

pregnantagain7 I too will have a small age gap between no 3 & no 2...she's now just 7 months so will have a 15 month age gap....eek!

I am also feeling much worse this time around than with the other 2...& cannot stop eating. Have a bit of cramping/backache on my lower left side & feeling decidedly queasy all morning. I'm praying to god this isn't twins. Have cancelled my gym session for this afternoon too. In thinking a soft play party yesterday morning & then a party in the house for my 3 yr old in the afternoon probably hasn't helped with my backache!

Mw appt is 24th March for me & scan is 8th April...I'm wishing the weeks away at the min, if inly so I can hope I start to feel much better soon...not liking being of with 2 little ones so far....

Pregnantagain7 · 03/03/2014 11:46

Wow that sounds like a busy day! Think you've def earned a rest not always possible with two little ones though! I also have a 3 yr old so will have almost a year of having 3 at home with me as my 3 yr old is an oct baby so doesn't start school til a year in sep. Hmmm the panic is starting to set in!!! Fingers crossed for no twins for either of us think that would certainly send me over the edge ha ha!

Grannyapple · 03/03/2014 11:54

Yes I had a chat with DH about the mat leave year & how I'll cope with 3 at home...still not decided how we'll manage..

I decided to have a bath to try & help the backache. Obviously not re lack g at all as DS wanted to come I'm with me & DD was happily playing with toys on the floor for all of 5 mins... I think DS liked when I was pg last time...I got to jump in the bath with him quite a few times...

CareBearWithFangs · 03/03/2014 12:04

I also don't remember my last pregnancy being this bad! Work have sent me home because I just keep running backward and forward to the bathroom.

Glad I'm not the only one who is worrying it might be twins.

Sending no nausea wishes to everyone who needs them.

magichandles · 03/03/2014 14:52

Granny - I'm having wobbles about how I'm going to cope with 3. Don't get me wrong, this baby is very much planned and wanted, but I am feeling a bit "what have we done".

I don't think it is helping that I feel pretty rubbish, much worse than I remember feeling at this stage with either DC1 or 2. (Aggh - what if it's twins?). Before I fell pregnant, I was really looking forward to enjoying what will hopefully be my last pregnancy, and instead I feel crap and I'm a bit all over the place emotionally.

ToffeeJungle · 03/03/2014 15:45

Ha, I keep wondering if it's twins for us too! With DC1 I never felt this sick and am sure I didn't eat as much!! I always liked the idea of twins... until I had DC1!!

And I wanted to ask what people are doing about work - I don't want to tell them (anyone) until after the 12 weeks scan which will be about another 4 weeks away (don't have a date yet though) but am feeling so sick and tired all the time Im not sure I can keep working so much. I have to travel quite a lot and just don't feel up to it. I could ring in sick but what do I tell them? And if Im off for more than a week I'll need a sick note - which will say it's pregnancy related (unless I can persuade the doc to somehow not mention that bit???!)

Pregnantagain7 · 03/03/2014 15:57

Magic-I felt exactly the same when I was pregnant with my last one (3rd) I swung between deliriously happy to blind panic however my youngest is nearly 6 months and I've got to say apart from the odd sticky day it's been great! Even the early days weren't that bad I just have no 4 to worry about now:)

Grannyapple · 03/03/2014 16:03

Exactly magic I'm feeling the exact same too..

I'm still on mat leave & due to return to work when I'm 14 wks...but I'm thinking I'll tell them when I'm about 11wks ish. Gives them time for it to sink in & hopefully less comments when I return then..

I've just been for a 1.5hr nap with the DC's...feel rotten again now I'm up then..

Yes, I also used to think twins would be fab when I was young & naive ... I've managed to escape the twin gene so far (mum was a non identical twin) so I'm still praying it's avoided me & hoping my sister carries the stronger gene than me Grin...

tak1ngchances · 03/03/2014 16:18

Toffee I told my boss. I said that I was pregnant and feeling very tired and sick and needed to work from home more and commute outside of rush hour. I really had no choice as I was on my knees and not able to concentrate at work anyway.
She was very supportive and said to do whatever I needed and just let her know in advance if I'd be in or working from home.

Sooo glad I told her.
