Old thread is getting full so here's a nice new one for all our moaning, paranoia and getting each other through it. Can someone do the honers and copy our edd list over? Maybe link the old thread too?

Argh phone! Sorry. I have my booking in appointment on wed next week and I've been told I'll be given my scan date then. Maybe it's different in different areas. I'm in Manchester.

tak1ngchances · 26/02/2014 10:46

I am really laughing at your latest posts pebble!! Grin Maybe that is pregnancy brain at its finest Wink

claptomania · 26/02/2014 11:11

fatpony exactly the same here. Seems like a very very long time to wait for news - good or bad!

Just catching up on this nice chatty thread - lots of you have told work already which is surprising. I'm aiming to hold off as long as possible - does rather depend on how visible I get.

Last night was rolled up in a ball in bed and very comfortable - occurred to me that it might not be possible in a few months.

Cakebaker35 · 26/02/2014 11:35

Yes appt dates, scans etc vary depending on where you are. I saw gp at just over 7 wks, who arranged the scan appt for 12 wks, then see midwife for booking in at 10 wks.

fatpony I felt exactly like you with dd1, no symptoms and really thought they would 'check' I was pregnant but they don't because you are Smile over the counter tests very very reliable these days. Be happy for no symptoms, we are very lucky. The tiredness has just hit me at 8 wks but that's nothing compared to what some have to go through. Remember symptoms do not mean anything good or bad about your pregnancy.

fatpony · 26/02/2014 11:45

Too right Cakebaker - how does the doc know I am not a fraud! I kind of want somoene to pat me on the head and say yes you are pregnant, don't worry!
I know I feel very lucky. I have a slight twinge of nausea in the morning but I used to get that sometimes when I was hungry. But it could all change next week I guess...

pebble82 · 26/02/2014 17:00

I just ate 3 bowls of cornflakes in a row! (hangs head in shame!)

rogertenfourrubberdick · 26/02/2014 17:07

Hey, can I barge in ladies? I'm due my 2nd drain on finances little bundle of joy 25th October.
I have been posting on a Facebook group but it was mostly American ladies who didn't get my meaning when I said I had nipples like blind cobblers thumbs as a pg symptom.....
Hope to chat soon :-)

Cakebaker35 · 26/02/2014 17:58

pebble positively healthy eating I'd say! Grin I just ate my dd's gingerbread man Blush

Welcome rogerten, nice description Smile

ohthegoats · 26/02/2014 18:09

So hungry so hungry so bloody HUNGRY..

binkybunny · 26/02/2014 18:20

Yay today has been an AMAZING day! I have only felt slightly nauseous once or twice and have actually had the energy to get tons of work done. My head hasn't felt like cotton wool and with the exception of a chocolate biscuit at 9.30am I have eaten like a normal human being.

I have spent all day waiting for the crash and feeling sick, just hoping it keeps up tomorrow and morning sickness might be over fat chance at 8 weeks

noimagination80 · 26/02/2014 18:50

ohthegoats that had me in stitches! Why do we do it.

noimagination80 · 26/02/2014 19:03

I have felt great today too, got a heap of reports and flowcharts done, which has been a struggle to even look at the last few days. Still only getting 5 hours sleep a night but not feeling bad for it.

7 weeks today an a week to go before first midwife appointment Grin

How's everyone doing?

BlueberryPoppy123 · 26/02/2014 19:06

As for telling bosses I'd really rather not as where I work when I told them last time they ended up telling people I worked with even though I'd asked them not to!!! I know they'll make me do a risk assessment but I remember it all from my DS pregnancy... Not allowed to move the ovens on my own and not allowed in the same room as patients with infectious / contagious Illnesses... (Work in a hospital)

Barely eaten all day... Whenever I do food goes through me very fast... And then the nausea continues... Anyone else have this as a symptom think if rather be sick!!!

Mrsthedog · 26/02/2014 19:10

ohthegoats Grin

ToffeeJungle · 26/02/2014 19:23

Thanks mrsb & punky for your advice and support yesterday. I went to the docs who did a quick examination and said all seemed to be well. She reassured me that aches, pains & cramping was all very normal and that it was only a real worry if the pain was excruciating, prolonged and if there was a loss of blood. It's subsided a bit today and I do feel better about things. I also feel better about having actually told someone Im pregnant too! Makes it more real I guess! And I've now got my booking appt with the midwife next Wed Smile

CareBearWithFangs · 26/02/2014 19:44

Binky glad your feeling so much better.

I keep getting waves of tiredness. One minute fine then tired to point of feeling out of breath and needing to sit down. The nausea comes and goes too. Otherwise nothing exciting to report.

I do enjoy checking in on this thread throughout the day Smile

BlueberryPoppy123 · 26/02/2014 19:55

When I went to the drs where he was a locum he was confused about how to refer me and he basically said they'd sort it after I left... I know it was only yesterday but how long do you think I should wait til I phone to check it's actually been done sure id had a phone call within 24 hours last time...

mum2kiss · 26/02/2014 20:21

Hey all :)

Not feeling quite right this evening...I had very mold.cramping for a few minutes earlier and now muy lower back has some discomfort :(

I planned to do.the dishes and some ironing but insteadI im resting up on the sofa waiting for dp to get home...

Glad to hear some of you are feeling a lot better today

ohthegoats · 26/02/2014 20:23

Today wouldn't have been as interesting:

Woke up, felt sick
Had bath felt better
Ate breakfast, couldn't finish it.. but didn't feel sick
Hungry enough to eat snack at breaktime, only felt a bit sick
Ate lunch, didn't feel sick
Massively hungry all afternoon
Ate toast, didn't feel sick
Massively hungry again so went out for dinner
I (5ft small), ate twice as much as boyfriend (6ft 2 big)
Indigestion, but not too bad.

Haven't dropped anything on my face either. RESULT.

ohthegoats · 26/02/2014 20:26

mum2kiss - I've had cramps on and off for the WHOLE TIME. It feels like period pain, but after paying some attention to it, I noticed that it is sort of related to how/what/when I've eaten and whether I've been to the loo or not, so I guess it's more digestion related. I've tried not to panic, midwife said not to panic. Even though it feels a bit weird.
