October 2014 thread 2 - Morning sickness, munchies and very tired mummas!

Old thread is getting full so here's a nice new one for all our moaning, paranoia and getting each other through it. Can someone do the honers and copy our edd list over? Maybe link the old thread too?

If I told my bf all the nutso stuff going on in my head, he'd be questioning this whole idea! He really wants to get excited, but I don't think I ever will until... well, possibly never. I've heard so many bad stories amongst my friends. To be honest I'm not enjoying this at all, the physical stuff is borderline miserable, my head is all over the shop and I can't imagine at the moment that I'll ever be relaxed with it all. Negative Nancy alert.

Crying at the opening credits of OBEM. So hormonal.

Binky I climbed a munro when pg with DS, however was in the first trimester, I continued with 'flat' walks throughout and joined a gym so I could swim. This time around I'm shattered! DS is 9 months, I've not long returned to work after mat leave, condensed my hours, so the most excercise I'm getting at the mo is climbing the stairs to get into bed...very early

Welling up already at OBEM...& I only did this 7 months ago...so I'm wincing at certain points too

I live by a massive hill so used to trek up that every day (maybe hiking made it sound extreme lol) with the dog and my mum with her dog, used to take an hour each day (will say I had a easy labour as a result I believe) stopped doing it since I had my DS can't be pushing a pushchair up those hills... But hoping to start walking more often again as having pains in my lower back already going towards my bum! Hoping it's just temporary...

Crying at OBEM too. Also feel VERY different watching it now. It's suddenly more frightening/exciting/interesting/meaningful.

I'll definitely be in the "I can't do it" camp.

Oh it was so sad that that lovely daddy missed the birth! What a good episode, lots of calm births!

Made me all emotional that he missed the birth :(

Yay - back from our scan today and everything is fine. They couldn't see reason for the massive bleed last Thursday night that saw me in A+E.

Lovely beating heartbeat seen at 8+1 here.

Hi tiny. A bit late in the day, but i am in belsize park. Whereabouts are you?

Tiny was on pg 14 catching up when I saw your post about Hypothyrodism!!
Promise I will go back & catch up but wanted to post to say, I'm hypo too, diagnosed 1 yr after DD was born. Tough pregnancy & anemia nearly wiped me out, so looking forward to this one as I will hopefully cope a little better. I too had a few (5) MC before my LO, so am hopefully off for early scan at 8 weeks. GP upped my thyroxine by 25mg but not sure it's enough, blood test next week. Nice to have a hypo buddy!
Right off to read from pg 14 on...
Trouble must look up your pillow recommendation.

Massive apologies if I left anyone off - you'll just have to copy and paste and add yourselves in

After my decision yesterday to lie about the reason for taking time off work next week for my midwife appointment (was going to say it was a doctors appt), I arrived to find we had all been sent a memo about the absence policy, with a reminder that any time off for medical or dental appointments will be unpaid. So I am now thinking I will have to tell my boss otherwise I will lose a couple of hours pay every time I go to an antenatal appointment
And also my second problem is how to get into her office for a private chat without any of my colleagues noticing! Our offices are next to each other and the door is always open - if someone goes into her office and shuts the door, the tongues immediately start wagging! I'm going to have to pick my moment when my colleagues are out of the office and run in quick!!
I actually lay awake for hours last night pondering this dilemma.
Someone give me a kick up the bum!!

officelady you could send her an e-mail asking her to ask you to come into the office so it doesn't look like you initiated it? Perhaps with the context about wagging tongues to explain why the subterfuge.

Hi all,
If there's any space left on the Oct bus I'd love to join! I'm not a frequent poster, but have been a serious lurker over the years! We're expecting DC1 EDD 25th Oct. Thrilled with the news, especially since I had an ectopic last year and we waited a bit to TTC again, and BFP on our first cycle has slightly stunned us!

Having a reassurance scan next week to check this one is in the right place, so keep fingers and toes crossed for me please!

Can anyone else feel their uterus as 'hard' yet? I'm feeling very sick today, so was in the bath with my hands across my lower tummy, and it definitely is starting to feel harder. Underneath the flab, obv. Made it all feel a bit real.. which made me feel a bit more sick. Haha.

Just adding myself to the list after doc visit yesterday..due 18th oct apparently

Feeling really sick this morning.

:) I'm on the list now... How are people planning on telling their families... My sister lives 4 hours away so I can't go tell her face to face which really upsets me as she has been trying for a while, I think she will be sad as selfish as that sounds because it's not her and she didn't even know me and the fiancé were trying. I think after a minute she'll be really happy but I would just love to hug her for that first minute she's sad... Any ideas was thinking I could skype her but I really don't know...
