Hi ladies, sorry for those who are suffering so badly with ms. I am having waves of nausea but little sickness so will count myself lucky! Just awful constipation (sorry if tmi!) I am soooo craving junk food at the moment and need to watch the weight gain, I put on 5 stone with my first ds and it was very hard losing it! Going to join Slimming World to watch the pounds whilst pregnant. It's not a diet as such, just healthy eating and is the only one supported by midwives. Anyone else considering this or have problems not being an utter muncher during pregnancy?

LH1981 · 08/02/2014 19:57

Got my sickness bands on and they actually seem to be working! Still feel nauseous but nowhere near as severe as before. Big Mac didn't go down too well, felt quite sick eating it but after dh kindly went on a bit of a mission to get it for me I had to 'man up'! Grin

bugoven · 08/02/2014 20:01

Lotty I lost 2 1/2 stone pre conception with Sliimming World. I haven't been since 6 weeks when my ms kicked in as I have been too exhausted and didn't want to give my game away earlier than I was happy to. Going to go back after my 12 week scan though. Miss my friends there and would like to keep weight gain to a healthy minimum. I think the plan will work perfectly when ms has eased.

BooSurprise · 08/02/2014 20:07

lotty I'm loosely following slimming world at the mo! and hopefully as nausea goes will get back to it fully, 2kg lost the first week, but this week gah, have eaten body weight and more, not looking forward to my weigh in Monday, wonder if I can salvage my week tomorrow?!

Is anyone else just tired beyond belief? I am utterly exhausted even with not working. I feel like I need to sleep for at least a month.

LH1981 · 08/02/2014 20:17

Yes boo, for the last 3 days I've spent about 3 or 4 hours in bed in the afternoon. Sooo tired!

topmammy · 08/02/2014 20:34

lottystar I am certainly leaning towards the becoming an utter munched in pregnancy. Not doing slimming world or any particular diet strategy yet. Trying to make amends for my McDonalds earlier by having carrot and coriander soup for tea!

topmammy · 08/02/2014 20:34
  • utter muncher! ha!
KitKat1985 · 08/02/2014 20:39

I'm with you with the exhaustion boosurprise. Slept for about 12 hours last night and still fell asleep on the sofa after lunch today. Does anyone else feel kinda 'fluey' at times as well? I go through periods of feeling exhausted and shivery and all my muscles ache.

Managed to get through dinner despite MS bothering me all day. I always feel better once I get a proper meal in me but getting it in can be an effort!

Current craving food of the day is fruit sorbet. Nice and refreshing when feeling nauseous. x

Lottiedoubtie · 08/02/2014 20:51

Yes KitKat that's exactly how I feel!

Just whinged to my DH that I feel, 'hot, cold, shivery, full, hungry, sick, overfull, tummy aches, and fine all at once'

Opps, poor love is being very supportive but I fear I'm not being terribly coherent!

marie1w · 08/02/2014 21:05

First day in about 4 weeks that I have felt relatively normal. Just brief waves of nausea, which is bearable. 10 + 3 so hopefully this is a turning point!? Have been able 2 get some housework done and am up after 8pm. Rock n Roll eh ladies xx

Lottystar · 08/02/2014 21:40

Happy to be SW buddies with you ladies, I'm happy to gain the necessary weight with pregnancy but also I want my diet to be nutritious and not cream buns and Big Macs! It's not good for me or the bubba. I'm joining again next week.

I'm whacked most of the time, I think tiredness is one of the main symptoms of early pregnancy but I remember it easing off in the second trimester of my last two pregnancies. Apparently our body is working harder at rest that a non pregnant person's body does at exercise (according to my pregnancy app) so no wonder we are shattered! Smile

Yes

charlieis30 · 08/02/2014 23:35

I'm lucky, I work from home so have been having 1-2hr naps during the day! SO exhausted and incredibly grumpy (poor DH!).
I'm 6+5 today and the MS has definitely ramped up this week. Last week was a bit queasy but this week it's much more constant nausea. I seem to be doing well compared to others though, so I'll take it! Whenever a wave of tiredness/nausea crashes over me, I say "oh hi little Bean" to the baby. I've got DH giving it regular kisses too, to try to get him to feel involved Wink
Anyone else have jaw/neck/head issues? I have been having headaches (I feel hungover most of the time, which seems a bit mean since I can't drink wine!) and a very tight jaw. Also very tight neck muscles. Need to try to stress less for the bub I think.
No cravings except I'm in Australia at the mo (where it's summer, obviously) so lots of watermelon and coconut water. I seem to be craving fresh things (watery fruits, broccoli, kale) and toast & butter mmmmm

xxmissbrightsidexx · 09/02/2014 09:21

Hiya ladies Brew Everyone okay?
Been floating about the last few days, sickness is taking over my life. I put a whole chicken in the slow cooker earlier on, and was gipping all the way through it, I was even trying not to touch it lol. Usually love chicken!!
Xx

Would like to join

Due 27th Sept
7 weeks and 1 day

First pregnancy and terrified :-(

BexBoo12 · 09/02/2014 10:09

Welcome Daytona Smile welcome to the terrified club Wink it's totally normal to feel scared hun, but do try not to stress, not good for you or bean. This is my first too, and I know exactly how you feel.

I've been a bit off radar lately, I've been mad busy at work. I seem to have dodged ms, I have waves of nausea that can literally knock me off my feet, but I've found if I eat something stodgy like toast within a couple of minutes of feeling nauseous, it curbs it completely. The waves are not very often, maybe once a day, possibly less. I will probably get stoned to death for saying this by all the poor ladies who have been suffering terribly I do send all my love out to you ladies suffering particularly bad, I really do take my hat off to you xx

isitme1 · 09/02/2014 10:26

Checking in.
All is well here apart from the bloody headaches!

I have ms but not too bad thankfully.

How is everyone? too lazy to look back lol

kkfairybrains · 09/02/2014 11:02

charlie I'm have that tight jaw the last week! And had bad headaches during the week. They've gone now thankfully.

Also gone missing is the nauseaHmm. Yesterday and today I feel fine and that's going from all day nausea. Don't know what to make of it. Boobs still really sore and still tired so trying to bit think too much of it.

LH1981 · 09/02/2014 11:12

I'm 8 weeks today and got my booking in appt later. So, that means I must shower and then myself back into a civilised human being. Have felt so rough the last few days I've not even brushed my hair. But these sick-bands have really worked for me and now I'm terrified to take them off. I wonder if I can shower with them on?!

rockin20s · 09/02/2014 12:22

Just checking in. Feeling ok just tired

BexBoo12 · 09/02/2014 12:28

Nice to see you rockin xx

Metalhead · 09/02/2014 14:57

Hi all, sorry I've been absent for a while. I've kind of been trying to not think of myself as being pregnant anymore so that I'm prepared should I get bad news at my scan on Wednesday. If you remember, I had an early scan two weeks ago which put me at 6+2, even though I should have been at least 7+2. So Wednesday will show whether baby has continued to grow or caught up with my dates, or whether it's died.

I'm still feeling nauseous and tired, so hoping that's a good sign, but at the same time I have already accepted that this pregnancy might not have worked out. Anyway, will update after I've had the scan.

Kt1991 · 09/02/2014 15:03

bex I'm the same as you, not actually been sick but had lots of nausea, can't face going shopping anymore, told DH were doing an online shop as I come back feeling awful! Ginger biscuits are helping me at the moment. Been pigging out on a lot of junk food though so must try to cut down! Be felt awful this week too, as also been unwell with cold/sore throat etc. thankfully had a nice relaxing evening with DH last night while my DM had DS over night. So great full for that extra couple of hours sleep!

broodylicious · 09/02/2014 15:49

Hi all. Sorry to hear about all the ms. It's so tiring feeling rubbish isn't it?

I have an actual obsession with cheese. Cannot get enough!!

Lottystar · 09/02/2014 16:11

Metalhead, best of luck with your scan. Sorry I've not read back over the whole thread but are you certain your dates are right? I found out I was pregnant 9dpo so very early on. My dates were correct but that's only as I was using opks so knew when I ovulated, could you have fallen pregnant a week later and found out really early if that makes sense, so thought you were further ahead? Really keeping my fingers crossed everything will be okay. Remaining symptoms are a positive x

BexBoo12 · 09/02/2014 16:36

Kt, we went shopping late last night and I wandered the aisles of Asda for over an hour before finally deciding that I wanted chicken butties so bought a loaf and some chicken breast. I have to say, they were divine lol.
