rockin20s · 12/02/2014 19:54

im the same daytona constant worry, i had constipation for weeks but it has now cleared up. you would think id be happy about that but no im terrified that my symptoms are disappearing

topmammy · 12/02/2014 20:07

Very sorry to hear your news metal :( Big hugs and best of luck for trying again Thanks

I don't understand mmc's. Can anyone explain it to me? I'm too scared to Google it as don't want to get sucked into reading too many scary things. Got my scan next week and starting to feel pretty nervous!

I'm so bloody hungry all the time and my will power to resist seems to be on holiday Hmm. There were doughnuts at work. I ate Three!!!! 3!!! (Over 2 days) but still, very piggy of me Blush

cookielove · 12/02/2014 20:29

So sorry to hear your news Metal it really is rubbish!!

Feeling better about pregnancy today, felt really sick this afternoon such a reassurance.

Work colleague is pissing me off cause it's all about her at the moment and i just want to slap knock some sense into her!!

Topmammy I ate 4 funsize doughnuts today, and they weren't even that nice Blush

Casey hello, my womb is tilted too, the bloke who scanned me said it was tilted away and that it was really hard to get to, so he had to press really hard, he kept saying just to try to relax which was uber hard!

rockin20s · 12/02/2014 20:41

topmammy my understanding of a missed miscarriage is when the baby stops growing but you don't get any pain or bleeding. it is only discovered in the ultrasound a few weeks later.

i have no will power today, i stopped at the shop after work and bought two chocolate bars (you know one for tonight and one for tomorrow night) well both have been devoured

i made a very healthy and tasty dinner but just didnt want it. they girl i live with mid week (work away from home) made potato waffles and i was just staring at her eating them! only eat half my healthy dinner then.
might pick up some potato waffles tomorrow

KitKat1985 · 12/02/2014 20:43

Just wanted to say really sorry to you metal. I hope things go okay at the hospital tomorrow and you have a sticky bean soon.

Good luck to everyone else having scans soon.

Hope everyone else is okay. I've been away for the night to celebrate DH's birthday. Was nice to go away for the night but am shattered now! xxx

broodylicious · 12/02/2014 21:14

I think mmc must be the worst thing to go through, I just can't imagine the emotional pain. I know I've already said so privately, metal, but you've my condolences and thoughts xx

Glad I'm not the only one shoving all and sundry into one's tummy. I cannot stop munching. Latest thing = pretzels.

Dd still poorly. Won't go to sleep for longer than 20 minutes at the moment so I'm already in bed while dh does a little co sleeping stint with her. Expect I'll be doing a later shift as dh has got a nasty cold too and he needs some good solid sleep to help recover. My poor little mites!

Mmc is the worst as it is so unexpected! I have never cried so much in my life :(

bugoven · 12/02/2014 21:41

rockin I had potato waffles today with mayonnaise. Did you know you can cook them in the toaster? I am that adverse to any food prep it came in handy earlier =)

Metalhead · 12/02/2014 22:24

Thanks for all the messages ladies, it means a lot!

I'm as ok as I can be, I guess it just wasn't to be this time and in all fairness I did have a bad feeling about it from the start. Better luck next time hopefully.

velvetlilithi · 13/02/2014 08:00

So sorry to hear that Metal. Wish you good luck next time and joyful full 9 months.

I'm 8 weeks tomorrow and having a booking appt in 3 hours. Horrible waiting for last 3 weeks. Still worrying I'll hear bad news.

By the way, my sister is just going to have a c-section with her 4th baby. Can't concentrate on anything else, just my baby and hers-my new niece. Oh God, they start in 5 minutes and in about an ahour hope I'll get a picture of my lovely niece.

Another thing, does anyone know if on the 8wks appt I'll get a scan as well?? And what about picture of my baby?
Or is it just gathering of info of my medical history etc?

It's my first baby so don't know what to expect there althought I read a lot about it.

KatharineClover · 13/02/2014 08:05

velvet your booking in appointment will basically be lots of form filling and information giving. No scan I'm afraid.

isitme1 · 13/02/2014 08:42

Ohh metal im sorry x

hows everyone doing? Katharine have you seen dr yet? Have you got a birth plan?
I saw dr yesterday and she requested a renal scan and Igot tto see baba again :)

The pain I had in my leg went by time I got there and came back last night and then went
It's not really a pain either so I doubt its a clot.

kkfairybrains · 13/02/2014 09:21

Very sorry to hear your sad news metal. It's just devastating Sad.

So jealous of anyone who's seen their babies! Another 3.5 weeks to wait for our scan!

So so sick here. All day and all night. Can't stand the smell of food cooking in the house! Makes me puke every time. So I'm living on crusty rolls, bagels and ham. And the odd dry cracker. Poor dd I feel sorry for she heard me getting sick this morn and was really upset.
anybody got any tips on what to drink with the nausea and sickness? I can't drink water, tea or coffee.Envy

velvetlilithi · 13/02/2014 09:35

KatharineClover So how they find out that baby is fine and developing normally? So I won't be able to see the heartbeat?? :(

isitme1 · 13/02/2014 09:48

Kk I wasnt expecting a scan yet but as I have renal problems dr wanted to make sure all was good amd gota sneak peak at baby. Its sooo worth the wait! Rather than sseeing a blob you will get to see a proper baby! It was sooo clear yesterday clearer than last scan! Arms legs head tummy etc!

Velvet they just do history. If you have bleeding or cramping (some cramping is normal) they might scan at epu if you ring up otherwise its best to wait until you get to see a proper baby rather than a blob iyswim.

IAteSomeofthePies · 13/02/2014 09:49

Metal I'm so sorry to hear your news. Take care of yourself and I hope you get a sticky bean soon. Hugs.

Daytona I hope your scan went well!

Broody I hope your DD and DH get well soon. You need sleep, too!

Yeah, sorry Velvet but booking was just form filling and weight and height and some blood and wee tests for me. Unfortunately, you have to wait til the 12 week scan. It seemed to take ages to get here.

I'm elated because had clear results back from my NIPT blood test. What a relief! It only took 3 working days in California, plus the time to overnight the blood there (and a weekend in the middle). I hope yours come back just as soon, LucidLady and that the results are the same! 12 week scan tomorrow. Even though I had a good one last week, I still have the scan doom. There's no helping it, I guess.

Sending anti- nausea thoughts to all the sufferers. It just got better this week for me.

CordeliaScott · 13/02/2014 10:18

I had my scan at the EPAU this morning and everything was fine. They measured it at 9+3 which is a week less than I thought but all looked good. They thought the blood was just the placenta implanting into the uterus. DH cried, God knows what he'll be like when I'm actually giving birth...

IAteSomeofthePies · 13/02/2014 10:47

Great news Cordelia! Maybe implantation was just a bit late.

broodylicious · 13/02/2014 11:11

Thanks pies, they're both a bit zombie like this morning. I did the 2-7am stint of co sleeping with dd. She feels hot but no temp. Hate guessing what issue could be! Docs later or tomorrow if she gets worse.

velvet yep no scan til 12 weeks I'm afraid. It's the longest four weeks you'll have to wait!! Til then, form filling and worrying Wink

lucidlady · 13/02/2014 11:51

That's great news iatesome! And so fast. I've been told it will be 2 weeks for our results to come back, so have an appointment on 24th for results and NT scan. Got the NHS scan on the same day so that should be fun - two scans in one day!

So pleased for you, that must be such a weight off your mind Smile

rockin20s · 13/02/2014 13:10

i had a good night sleep last night, it seems my baby is allowing me one night of good sleep a week.
by good i mean i went to bed at 11, slept, peed at 3am, slept, woke at 7am. that is seriously good in comparison to the rest of the week!!

still exhausted today Sad

i had a scan at 7w2d and my friend had hers at 9w3d, the difference in 2 weeks is amazing. im just looked like a blob whereas hers had a distinct head and body

cant wait for my scan!!

KatharineClover · 13/02/2014 13:46

isitme thanks for asking :) I'm waiting for physio SPD referral at the mo, so will discuss birth then to start with. I've ordered natal hypnotherapy CDs as I got so stressed and anxious last time in the run up because of my SPD (and fixated on a water birth that didn't happen, which I think contributed to how I felt about the birth afterwards). The midwife didn't say I wouldn't be able to use the birthing centre (in the same hospital as delivery ward) because of PPH etc but she had already ticked hospital and crossed it out when I mentioned birth centre Hmm
velvet they don't check the baby until the scan at around 12 weeks - they don't even confirm your pregnancy test. With DS I remember being so worried at the scan - afraid that I had made a mistake with reading the pregnancy test and they would tell me it was all in my head! I'm trying to be calm and think positively this time (it's not always working though!).
Xx

Lottiedoubtie · 13/02/2014 14:10

I've heard it said about the doctor not checking your pregnancy till 12 weeks a lot. And was all prepared for that, but when I told the doc I was pregnant they immediately got me to do a urine sample and checked! Maybe it's just my area.. or I look like a liar? Smile

beckworth · 13/02/2014 14:43

Lottie, I haven't even seen the doctor. When I rang to make the appointment and told the receptionist what it was for she told me I only needed to see the doctor if I didn't want to keep it! Gave me the midwife's mobile number and told me to ring her, midwife then scheduled my booking appt for between 9 and 10 weeks.
