Hi
This is a thread for people due in October with past miscarriage issues, so we don't scare the 'regular' October people and we don't annoy the RM thread with our pregnancy talk...

mum2kiss · 07/02/2014 20:14

Thanks guys...

it was a tiny tiny smear of pink...it was there on thenfirst wipe and then gone...ive been to the loo twice since and nothing.more...I am still having a.minor stroke though!

My awful indigestion and bloating seem to have gone today too so the lack of symptoms worries me!

My dp is totally relaxed and naive about the whole.thing! This will be his first dc. I told him.about the spotting he said "that very common in early pregnancy isnt it?!"... well.of course this is true but cant you be as concerned as me?!

SweetPeaPods · 08/02/2014 09:19

How is everyone today? Any more spotting?
I'm very third this morning, not sure if it's being pg, or having ds!

McRedHead · 08/02/2014 09:58

Sad Dark red today, not much, but more like AF than yesterday. I'm not very hopeful. Good luck to you all. Thanks

squizita · 08/02/2014 10:25

mum2kiss I had 1 day 'red when I wipe' and it's been OK since (2 scans since, both fine). Fingers crossed for you. Maybe you need a chat with DP? Previously my very optimistic/happy-go-lucky DH has caused me terrible resentment and anger without realising. Once he realised it was much better (though he now waits for knicker check results with almost too bated breath!).

McRedHead Sorry to hear that. Still keeping FX for you.

fedupofrainydays · 08/02/2014 11:01

mcred sorry to hear that I hope you are ok and I'm hopeful for you that it's 'just one of those things' and all is fine.

I'm feeling very crampy today and on knicker watch constantly. I took some paracetamol to try dull the cramps so I'm not thinking about it every second of the day and driving myself insane. I really do feel emotionally unstable with this pregnancy. I knew I would be but doesn't make it any easier :(

SweetPeaPods · 08/02/2014 12:49

Mcred sorry to hear that Fx for you.
I've been crampy on and off I think the paracetamol helped distract me. Just read back and I obviously meant tired not third! 2.5hr nap with ds was just what the dr ordered thank you ds. Getting the night balance between feeling optimistic but not over excited is very difficult.

squizita · 08/02/2014 13:24

Fedup and Sweetpea I'm having a bad knicker-checking day too. Twinges (nothing lasting) and dots (small enough to be part of loo roll) ... the usual for me.

tannyLoo · 08/02/2014 14:08

Red crossing my fingers and toes. We're here for you.

Lots of cramps here too. Boobs have gone down a bit, and feeling the fear every time I pee.

I have posted on the RMC thread about this too. I got a letter from the gynae who says I have an abnormal blood result and have high IGM levels. He wants to do another test in 2 months, but obviously doesn't know I'm pg.

Dr Google says it can be a sign of APS, but can I have heparin without a second blood test? Am I too late?

Tumtimes1 · 08/02/2014 14:35

I went onto Heparin with a negative sticky blood result as a precaution from 6w's. x

tannyLoo · 08/02/2014 14:37

Thanks tum, how are you?

TaytoCrisp · 08/02/2014 15:37

Oh ladies, must be something going round. Lessening of symptoms here today too. . Not ideal when waiting for the viability scan..

mcred hope u r ok. Sending a hug.

In terms of bleeding, an in-law told me she had mc-ed, following bleeding. And I had a long conversation with bro in law about it, offering a listening ear and empathy. A few weeks later mum in law told me all was fine with them. It has resulted in some complex dynamics which I won't go into here (around communication) but my point here is that she was absolutely fine, and is doing well coming up for 20 week scan. So even what must have been heavy bleeding did not result in mc in her case. But it must be scary. Sending good wishes and hugs to anyone experiencing this especially now.

mum2kiss · 08/02/2014 17:30

No spotting here today just super tired!

Do any of.you have bullet nipples?! Mine are hard errect and tender but the rest of the breast feels.fine...very strange. I dont remember this with dc 1

TinyTear · 08/02/2014 17:40

mum2kiss hell yeah! feeling embarassed to go out like this. need to find the breast pads somewhere...

and my DD has her last molar coming out so her latch can be a bit hard... OUCH!!

OP posts:
Millysdream · 08/02/2014 20:42

My nipples are constantly erect at the moment

squizita · 08/02/2014 22:21

Mine think it's freezing even when in a hot shower. Like wrinkly brown sultanas, they are. Grin And one side is tenderer than the the other. And DH charmingly said they looked "massive, wobbly and a bit saggier than usual ... that'll be the hormones" which was a should I thank him or slap him moment!

Currently stressing because I ate spicy thai food for the first time in ages, got the 'just eaten chilli - need a poo' thing within an hour. Clearly NOT food poisoning (I've had this before, I've just irritated my guts with raw chilli) but paranoid it will damage bean. :(

fedupofrainydays · 09/02/2014 07:14

Me too re erect nipples (but don't show through bra!) and after a random discussion once after too many wines apparently I have large nipples and areolas anyway!! Hee hee. I don't know how we got on to that chat but we did... And no we weren't measuring each other's... Just our own!!

SweetPeaPods · 09/02/2014 07:21

My nipples are fine here. But they were with ds too.

SweetPeaPods · 09/02/2014 10:21

Does anyone else feel like time/days are going really slowly?
I got kind of excited when I got my scan date but it still feels like ages away. Sometimes I think it must be better to find out when AF is late, but stupidly I tested early.

Tumtimes1 · 09/02/2014 11:39

hi tanny i'm ok thanks. My latest stress is how long I will be on the heparin for. I want to be on it for the full duration but I have a feeling they will say I need to come off it at 12 weeks. I am sure that would be fine but you know when you get all worried about it....
I have my next scan on Friday (14th) and I would be 9w 3 d on that day. If I have got to that land mark I am going to allow myself some positive thinking.

I will be coming off the steroids at 12 weeks (weening off them) and I am looking forward to it. i swear my face is perfectly ROUND. Its round anyway, but its looking extra round to me.

sweetpea yup days are draaaaging indeed.

I am just about to go to a bridesmaid fitting (me being b-maid). The bride and b-maids don't know I am pregnant so I am hoping they don't expect a communal change. What with my pendulous veiny breasts and heparin bruised stomach, this could be a give away.

tannyLoo · 09/02/2014 23:19

Had a crappy weekend thinking I am on my way out, so off for a morning visit to EPAC tomorrow.

fedupofrainydays · 10/02/2014 06:45

tanny what's happened? I hope you are ok. Good luck at EPU xx

Handsfullandlovingit · 10/02/2014 06:50

tanny what is going on? Yes, good luck at the epu.

I have been away this weekend and started Sat morning will some spectacular being sick. I was practically cheering in between clutching the toilet bowl. Yesterday and today I'm back to normal, which is both a relief and a worry.

Oh this time is passing too slowly...

TinyTear · 10/02/2014 08:35

tanny good luck at the EPU, hope all is ok and you are still in the club

OP posts:
SweetPeaPods · 10/02/2014 08:39

Tanny good luck at EPU

JBrd · 10/02/2014 09:53

Hope you're OK, tanny

hands Had to laugh at the mental image of you cheering between retching. We are turning into proper nutjobs, aren't we...

So... I was 6 weeks yesterday, and for the first time, felt utterly and completely yuck. Had to lie down in the afternoon to sleep for a few hours, and that made it only marginally better. Really hoping that this is a good sign, FFS!
Much much better today, only feeling a little bit off - but that could well be because it's freezing in our office! Going to have a banana now, see what happens.
Got my appointment with the haematologist, and of course it's on the same day I have to take DS to his 2.5yr assessment. Hmph. Well, guess, DS will have to wait to be assessed then Grin
